First rule of XDA.

I don't think it's a problem with cwm, it's probably related to 4.2.1.

i made a new rom from kitchen. First i tried to flash it with only root and busybox and it worked. After that i tried to deodex the app and framework files and then i flashed it. It installed successfully but m stuck on the start screen. It shows "Samsung Galaxy Y gt-s5360" this is the screen which comes before the bootanimation screen. Its stuck on it for the past half an hour!!
Go to downloading mode and flash a cwr with odin then flash a good NONCOOKED by YOU rom!!!
Press thanks if I was of any help!...

It could be that you didn't wipe. But did you use cwr? I would say it was a bad flash is all.

Btw prince that is not a very nice post. Everyone starts somewhere, and optimizing stock roms is a great way to maintain stability.

CWM
I managed to find a CWM Recovery for Galaxy S Advance, googling it will come up with several results (can't post link),
But I have a problem. Trying to flash the .zip from SD card will start the installation, it says the recovery is replaced with CWM Recovery, and then the phone just turns off. Turning the phone on againg and entering the recovery shows I'm still in the original recovery (Android system recovery (3e)).
The problem is that this seems to prohibit me from flashing custom ROM-s form SD.
Any ideas?
Once installed should I delete my original ROM manager (cwm) from Google play?
Thanks

don't use rom manager with the s3

You have already asked this question in the sudden death thread and got an in depth answer.
Here, I've copied and pasted it again for you

Reply:
CWM is a recovery. PhilZ is a recovery that's based on CWM. So it's capable of pretty much everything CWM is, and more. Hence your backups should be restored without any trouble, as long as the CWM version PhilZ is based on can do it. You have one /recovery partition. You either install CWM or PhilZ or TWRP or whatevertheeff else (this is in response to "Do I still need CWM?").
PS: Please clean up your posts, you're almost polluting the thread!
Why are you asking it again? And not only that but making a new thread for it!
Surely the best place to ask is actually in the PhilZ recovery thread.........once.

First of all, don't use such big font.No one will care more if you change the font size.Try to keep the normal size, and only use big fonts when you have to express something important in a long text.Anyway, try downloading a different version of CM,or try another Kernel. And what ROM and Kernel are you using now?

try using a different rom to see if the problem is your phone or the rom
I tried ... I was on wanam then I changed to floral
So the problem is not from my mobile.

Stop bumping this thread, re-download the ROM.
You can go stock and flash a custom kernel before you flash CM.

You're obviously rooted then.
Easiest fix, reflash your ROM. I have no idea if you were on rooted stock (odex) or de-odex, custom rom or what so I cant really give you any more advice.
Please dont delete /system/apps
Just reflash the ROM you are using, if stock then stock, if custom then flash same custom ROM
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I can't I just put the info and I am using stock 4.1.2
Odex
I still have the odex but the apk is lost
Sent from my GT-P3100
Hard to reflaah or download a rom
Sent from my GT-P3100
Option 1) Download an odexed rom that is the same build, extract systemui and put it in place with a root explorer
If you put the wrong build, you'll probably boot loop.
Option 2) flash a custom rom similar to what you have now via recovery
Option 3) flash a stock rom via Odin and re-root it

I don't need to know why you want it. Its an integral part of the rom you should never delete. Its obvious why you want it. I've told you how to fix it

Please calm your attitude. I know why you deleted it. you already said. I never asked! I've told you how to fix it already, so please just look into that instead of being rude to me
