You should have posted this in the device forum that it belongs to. As I have an S2 and never have seen this icon I am sure it is from an app you installed.

Turn off silent mode and I bet it disappears.

U can use Quickmenu 2.8 to get the number indicator for battery.

Lots wierd things happened today. S6 mobile data toggle disappeared and my Tablet Z2 started showing the star icon.
