Hello, i just found this item on deal extreme. It looks like the one from a previous post in this section, bought in singapore if i remember right, and it was brilliant!
I just ordered one, i will keep you advised when it arrives; it usually takes two weeks with this site... But shipping is free.
Check it out! -clic-

Is it just me, or has the DealExtreme web site been unavailable for the last few days?
DNS is unable to resolve the name "dealextreme.com", and when I try to access it by IP address, I just get a message "click here to enter site".
Can't help, no problems here...
From the looks of it this case would be better than most of the flip cases because it grips onto the beveled edges on the front, instead of putting material around the screen itself. On flip cases I've used it seems that they almost always interfere with getting to the edge of the screen (eg for scrolling, etc).
I just wonder how they can afford to sell these for only $3.48USD, and not charge for shipping. Has anyone dealt with dealextreme that could vouch for their customer service?

I have bought from DealExtreme a number of times. While the quality of the goods that they sell is not exactly top notch, the goods are always extremely good value for money (especially given that the price includes free worldwide postage) and they have always delivered exactly what I have ordered.
Thanks for the link, I ordered one...

And as philip said, i can vouch for DX delivering everytime, i bought like 10 times from them
Just reporting back to tell that I received this case. It seems ok for that kind of money, phone fits in nicely to the hard plastic part inside. Outside is black leather (fake of course ) with brown stitches and inside is black suede without any pockets, just plain... oh and there is a hole for the camera and a magnetic clip.
Damn, you got it before me
I'm looking for a leather pouch case for my Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 and I was able to locate one online.
http://www.thinktouchpro2.com/htc-touch-pro-2-cases-2048.html
However, the site lists the case is compatible with the Tmobile, International, Verizon, Sprint versions. Should I be concerned that the phone won't fit snug within the case? Has anyone ordered anything from this site?
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Dan
It's a $27 pouch.
I think you'll be okay.
Also, sounds reasonably legit:

I had a vertical pouch once... much like this, no flap. Nice and convenient, yes, easier to take the phone in and out but more than once while running to catch the bus, the taxi, away from the police or the crazy girlfriend with the baseball bat, my Wing would jump out and fall on the ground. Of course I cannot leave a fallen phone behind, so at great personal inconvenience (and risk) I've stopped to collect it. Now I won't tell you what happened once the police and the angry girlfriend caught up with me
But I will tell you that during LoveFest in San Francisco I ended up losing the phone. It jumped out of the case, of course I was highly intoxicated... It turned out to be my excuse for forking out the cash for a Tilt. And a horizontal case with a magnetic button flap.
So, in brief, I wouldn't really recommend this...
This one works great
Best part is its easily available at any local Target cheap and it looks good. Stays in the case nice and firm if you have a Ghost Skin or Invisibleshield on it and its very easy to get out.
http://www.target.com/Blackberry-Ho...&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=489944911&pf_rd_s=center-3
It says it is for the Blackberry but I have a Storm and a Curve and neither fit very well but its like it was made for the TP2. May be a little tight if you have the Tmobile version though but they have good cases in stock.
So now that everyone's GTabs are on the way, lets focus on the goodies!
Im curious, whats everyones favorite cover/case?
I know I want the dock, but what else is a MUST HAVE? I've even read about a screen protector that improves viewing angle?!?
If you have any good suggestions, please let me know, post the URL for people to purchase etc!
Just received my Skinomi carbon fiber skin. Was very impressed with the material, looks to be the same 3M stuff that "dash kits" use in cars. 24 shipped on amazon. I've heard it sucks to install - but my tab won't be here until Thursday to find out
Right now I have just purchased the "Skinomi TechSkin - Black Carbon Fiber FILM Shield & Screen Protector" from Amazon (Skinomi.com has a larger selection and coupon codes can be found online), based on the reviews there and in a thread over here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=904814) I believe is the best we can buy right now to protect the screen, I went for the full body kit as I have not yet decided on which case I will end with but will most likely be one with a keyboard so I can use it while in class.
I may pick some cheap capacitive pens down the road too just because you can get them pretty cheap and shipped straight to South America where I live
....I am a nOOb so can't post outside links yet....
I'm pretty happy with these...
Arkon Portable Fold-up Stand
Carbon Fiber ThinSkin in Black
CLIP - Folio Case
I bought a dock but didn't really find myself using it after I got it so I sold it off on eBay for a tidy profit.
I also had one of those cases with the built-in usb keyboard but found it looked way too cheap and didn't keep the gTab snug so I got rid of that on eBay for a tidy profit as well.
If you want a case with a built-in bluetooth keyboard I highly recommend checking out it2steve's web store for a case he calls the BlutO.
See link here.
As for a small bag to carry all of your gTab accessories, I recommend the Targus CityGear bag for 10.2 inch Netbooks. It fits everything nicely. The only negative about this bag for me is that the shoulder strap is not removable.
I almost forgot about the Skinomi Screen Protector. It is fantastic as long as you follow the directions and let the damn thing sit until it's completely dry after you've applied it (like 24 hours if you can handle it) and you will be rewarded with a screen protector that you can barely tell is there.
I would dearly love to get the BlutO but it's my understanding that it stays sold out.
So far I've ordered the dock from merimobiles, $42.75 with coupon code bienvenu
Needed the lan port for work since we can't turn on wireless due to sensitive client files.
Messenger bag from Bensoutlet dot com $7.98 shipped. Got one that looks exactly like this for my netbook from 1saleaday last year for $10 shipped and hope it's the same one, great little sturdy bag.
Lenovo usb keyboard remote w/ trackball, don't know if it'll work w/gtab or not but for $27 I can use it with something else if it doesn't.
Have a neoprene sleeve to put it in until I decide on which screen protector and cover.
Dern, why did I type all of this out? Now I know how much I've spent LOL

It has the removable shoulder strap and an outside zipper compartment. I can cram a pretty good bit of extra "stuff" in there, adapters, wireless mouse, flash drives, etc.
I have skinomi black carbon fiber skin.
Now I just need some protection for it.

Just wanted to tell you I'm loving your nym
Bought a tshirt for the bf a couple of weeks ago that had a pic of a pig amongst the clouds with the caption "With enough thrust, pigs fly just fine" Hilarious
To make this post legal (and to satisfy my curiosity) how hard are these skins to put on? I bought screen protectors for my nook that I ended up wadding up and throwing in the garbage, couldn't ever get them to go on without steeeenkin' bubbles that irritated the crap outta me.

One more question for you. Do you think that messenger bag would fit a Gtab with one of these cases on it? Or is it already a snug fit with just the Gtab alone?

I can't answer that yet because FedEx still has my gtab
But. I have one that looks exactly like this one that I keep my 10.1" acer aspire one netbook in (has the extended battery) and I am able to put the netbook in a neoprene sleeve and then into the messenger bag and it fits. So I bought another one for the gtab figuring it should work for that as well. If it doesn't I'll be really surprised but won't be out much money at all.
Hope this helps.

Gotcha. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again.
I picked this up and it looks great:
http://www.amazon.com/Acer-AOD250-1...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1299249594&sr=1-22
Very professional looking and holds the accessories fairly well. There is only the one outside pocket, so things just get thrown in. For under $20 (with amazon prime), who can complain?
I have a Wenger Swiss Army 12" laptop bag that I used for my netbook. Got it at Walmart for under $15. it too has removable strap and a side pocket too.
Anyone checked out this bad boy from belkin? At a whopping $8 it seems like quite the bargain.

Belkin is usually a good product. But here's what I use (in neoprene), just bought another two pack in fact:
http://www.meritline.com/flap-laptop-sleeve-neoprene-black---p-36331.aspx
Velcro flap closure, perfectly servicable and I've always been happy with them. Free shipping too, but you have to be sure to select that option. It does take a some time to deliver due to the fact that it ships from China. Also, these are a bit roomier than the usual stretch-to-fit neoprene sleeve. My netbook won't fit in that kind due to the extended battery.
What can I say, we wimmins love a sale ;->
I plan to wait to get my hands on the tablet (fedex will get it here on Thurs) ... play with it long enough to be certain I want to keep it ... and THEN ... shop for stuff. Else, getting rid of the tablet and all those accessories will be an humbling experience.
BTW, my CC. has a program where they will take back a product if the store does not accept it back. I hope I don't resort to it in this case.
ordered this case off of amazon tonight was only 15$ shipping included. i know the leather is good quality already because my dad has the same for his xoom and it has the magnetic things in the case so it closes like my sisters ipad case, (android dominated family i know)
just letting you guys know i think it took about 3 days for my dads to come in. so hopefully the same for mine ill keep you guys updated. link below

Looks like a great find, and 1/3 the price of my roocase.
Let us know, I might also buy this case or the rooCase slim fit mutli angle....if it is as good as you say its a no brainer.....please let us know
I bought one too, 6 5* ratings for $15 shipped? Yes please.
Those who have it, can you please provide some pics? also, with this case are you able to have multi angle view (looking for something that I can easily type on the TF laying down with an angle)? Thanks
ya ima postsum pics when it gets in the mail
Thanks...sorry, i read it wrong, thought it already came in.

Just thought I'd bump this thread for two things:
-- Apparently, since yesterday, the price on these has gone down to 9.99.
I should be upset upon realizing that just last week, I paid 14.98 for this, but for the second reason I alluded to earlier:
-- Up to August 26th, 2011, AYL has a promotion where you can get a FULL REFUND of your purchase price.
My package that arrived yesterday, came with a letter stating that if you give them a 5-star review and link them back through an email address they give for proof, as well as your order number, they'll give you a full refund (not including the shipping of $4.99). I followed the instructions on the letter.
I can attest to this myself that this is a real deal, since I got an official email from Amazon that they're processing a refund of this item as we speak.
Here's the link to the product: http://www.amazon.com/Quality-Leath...iewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
You probably don't have to wonder why it has 5-star reviews across the board. My review is under the exact same username I'm using here.
FYI: It seems to actually really be a good product. I'm no leather expert, but it seems like genuine leather enough, and build quality is pretty good.

Now that you have it, what is your actual thoughts of the product? I was going to get one because of the 5 stars but since finding this out Im really interesting in finding a real review. I purchased case off of Amazon and im returning it because of the quality.
What do you think of the case? How do the wholes fit (the one I had didnt line up too well), how well does it function as a stand? (mine constantly tipped over). Any feedback is appreciated.

I like it. Although it doesn't have adjustable viewing angles, the main angle is good, at least for me. Also, if you allow your screen to rotate, you can use it in reverse for a very low angle...as long as the app you are using also rotates with the screen.
The leather, as I mentioned earlier, seems decent, and it has a nice suede interior lining.
All the holes line up perfectly for both the FFC and the light sensor, as well as for the camera in the back. On the sides, all of the buttons and ports are fully accessible, and it looks like they took care to not block the speaker grilles without compromising structural integrity. It also doesn't exude "cheap" in any sense. The stamped leather is all class, IMO.
All in all, well worth the previous 14.98 price, even with 4.99 shipping, and even more so at the 9.99 price. Not sure about the "59.99" price their product page is quoting as its original price though.
EDIT: Although I don't have a dock yet, it seems that the dock might work well with it, since I don't see anything that can keep you from plugging in the dock while the TF is in this folio. Also, one of the things I like is that I can actually use the charger at the bottom while it's being used as a stand.

shipping time for me has exceeded 8 days (5 business days) and it looks like usps won't be delivering it until tomorrow at the earliest. I'm used to waiting this long for stuff from china but going from CA to WA this is ridiculous. I guess I get what I pay for...

Well, if it's a full refund... time to try it out! I wanna see if it works well with the dock.
Doesn't look like its availible in the UK
Something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqesTZRGwyQ&context=C38b7f16ADOEgsToPDskKBMFMK6BjkFCi6z3oqRqDJ would be perfect for my needs. Something I can proudly take to the office that doesn't look like it was purchased at the local Dollar Store.
Sorry for the rant but the lack of quality accessories for this tablet is killing me.
Apparently no one wants to put money into a device that may not even survive a few months. You will only get the low end stuff really. Everyone knows Apple is the real deal and isn't going anywhere....so it is a sure bet to invest. Remember, you don't need to sell Apple stock, it sells itself.
I have yet to buy one, but this is one of the few I have seen that says it is actual leather.
http://www.skindigitalstore.com/categories/ASUS-Transformer-Prime-TF201/
If you get one and like it let me know.
My friend has a roocase for his og nd its very nice.. Here is a link to one, but they make several. I like this one because the tablet is in a "detachable" sleeve. (I have a substantially similar version made by MiniSuit but it's very cheap leather - looks fine from any distance, but for $14 I know it's not good quality - it serves a purpose and looks fine for my needs.
Anyway..... check Roocase. I've seen and handled that brand and think it is nice. MUCH nicer than most anything else available. If you don't like it, return it.
I have the Caseen Skinny and it's great.
tuff-luv.com has some great albeit pricey leather cases for not only the Prime Tablet but also the Tablet and Keyboard.
The real question is: "Where are all the quality non-leather cases?"
There are tons of options for leather cases with varying degrees of quality, but there are practically no non-leather cases.
I have the cheaper poetic/mono case and it has been great. No complaints.

How is it only going to last a few months? They are releasing the tf 700 in a couple of months, but that will be the same size so if anything the lifetime will be expanded more that it normally would be.
Also this is a good case, I got the exact same type just from a different company called Acase, because it was cheaper priced.

Yes, I've been looking at this one but I'm cautious on pulling the trigger. Read a review on another forum and the quality of leather was in question.

I also looked at the Roocase but I am concerned of the thickness the case would add to the tablet.
I also purchased the Mini Suit case to hold me over and agree that it's made of very very very cheap looking pleather.
So my search continues
I bought this case off of eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/260938668106?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I have several cases from this guy on our Kindles, Nooks, iPad and now TFP. Have had some for over a year and there are holding up great.
The two problems I have with this case is that it will not charge closed or when sitting in landscape as shown.
I was skeptical about different cases i kept finding online. But after taking a proper look at this one --> "GreatShield Multi-Stand Leather Protective Folio Case for ASUS TF201 Eee Pad Transformer Prime"
I went ahead and ordered it. It cost me 20pounds and was shipped from the US. In terms of quality, It is way better than any leather case for any tablet I have seen so far including those for the ipad (and I mean it). I asked someone @ my UNI to guess how much it cost me and he said "probably 70pounds". My point is, it is of the best quality, it looks sleek, professional and prestigious. Even better is the fact that it is tailor made for the transformer prime so all ports are accessible. Its design also doesn't cover up the bezel like most other tablet cases do (something i dislike with a passion).
I trust that if you go ahead and get it, you will not regret it. Here's the amazon UK link
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006RML5ZO/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details
If you live in the US, you can search for it on amazon.com.
I hope this helps.
Cheers mate.
Thanks for the info jdeltree, unfortunately I have already purchased & tried this case
http://www.amazon.com/TF201-Transfo...3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1330033453&sr=1-3
which looks fairly similar and was not happy with the design. Used it for 10 minutes and went back to the cheap minisuit.
Most of my cases in the past did cover the bezel and I kind of got used to that.
I may just bite the bullet and try the Caseen one. At this rate I will end up with a drawer full of these cases in search for the right one.
Going to give the Acase another try tonight to see if I can get used to it.
The saddle leather one coming soon from tuff-luv looks promising. 99£, but saddle leather is a top quality product. Once a picture is available, ill probably order one, as long as I can get it to the states.

"Quality Leather"
If you think that $10.00 is quality leather, or leather at all for that matter, then your standards are very low.
I have the caseen one, I'm pretty happy with it.. Doesn't add too much bulk but does add a good amount of protection. I feel the build quality is good too.

UGLY duckling. Also, they forgot to make holes for the speaker! A lot of cases apparently have forgotten to make holes for the speaker. I'm still using my Caseen Skinny case and I still love it.
