Hi, I installed on my xperia tablet s (r6b :crying: )the app twin me. someone can tell me why the photos are blurry? I tried to change the settings of the camera, but nothing changes.
Same problems with other apps like Epic movie fx.

My tablet also has some very blurry pictures at firs tit hought it was just my camera messing up but now i guess it's because of r6b? is anyone else also getting blurry pictures? I used my camera alot and already sent it back to sony for a 2nd time so this is like a major down for me.

Hello, I am really starting to find it annoying how slow the camera is to open, I am not sure whether it is a problem with just me or whether it is a problem with the Sony software.
However, when I open the camera, it sticks on a black screen for a good 4 seconds before actually showing the camera, then when moving the camera around it is really laggy and blurry - with other phones such as any HTC the camera seems really smooth when moving it around.
Does anyone else experience this problem? And does anyone know a fix for it?
I was wondering whether downloading Vignette or something might help?

Edit: Just tried the Vignette demo and it seems it does not lag, however it does not have a video option and seems a bit over complicated for my simple needs, anyone know any other good camera programs on that market?
I found the camera to be slow as well. I did a lot of tweaking on my phone (root, uninstall timescape, bloatware, enabled JIT) and now the camera and the phone in general is faster.
yes!!! camera is very laggy .... plus my camera button shuts down the camera.apk ....now i can only get a picture using "on screen" clicking option....

I have done everything rbenz suggested apart from remove TimeScape as I am worried this will conflict when using other apps.

me too....when you move the camera while video recording it lags so much and this lag is also seen during playback of the same video,also opening takes years

No one can't help you and if you wanna understand why then check my post on miniCM treat about SONY CAMERA mystery. You will see no one dare answer my post coz I'm right on it.
There no dev who can deal with the experia and SONY camera.
The whole thing is alien tech and humans can't handle it.

Well, then i tried lgcamera (latest version).
But that camcorder app also doesn't work properly.
As soon as i press the record button, the video freezes (not the app, just the video). All i can see then is a freezed picture. But that only happens on custom roms. I've tried several custom roms (gingerbread and froyo-roms) and several versions of lgcamera, but videorecording always freezes as soon as i press the record button...
Then i tried lgcamera on the 2.1 stock rom.
On the stock rom it doesn't freeze during video recording, but instead the same issues occur like with the implemented video camera in the custom roms: outside the video gets too bright and inside the video gets too dark! Well, at least the videos aren't stuttering on the custom rom using lgcamera...
I've read many times on this forum that people are using lgcamera without any problems on the X10 Mini - even on a custom rom! So how come it isn't working for me?
The only camera that does work properly is the stock camera in the 2.1 stock rom.
But i would like to stay on gingerbread or at least froyo...
Please, can anybody help me with this?

Well buddy.. I've got issues with the camera also.. Tried every app.. and unfortunately every app and setting failed.

In that case i'll switch back to the 2.1-stock rom, because i really need/want a good camcorder. And the stock one in the original rom ist just amazing for such a small mobile phone. Continuous auto focus ftw!

Yes you right in 2.1 camera its amazing coz its maked and compiled by aliens.
Yeah my post is funny coz when I wrote it I was 100000% pissed of by the ugly android camera.
Yeah I'm using minicm for cost of my camera but this is coz I have ST15i the x mini next brother of our mini and use its camera for my needs.
I'm much in with cameras I'm amateur photographer ,displays colours , saturation , optics , HD, pixels and so on , all this things its like my seccond nature. That's why I wrote this post there on miniCM treat and like you see no one answer on it.
And in the end its soo strange how devs can port hack make and etc whole OS but when job come to camera its go to dead end.
Only reasonable explanation is Aliens coz only Sony can make this happen.
Wish I had some pall from Sony to ask him to make camera work but I haven't ....

I found this camera app in rom Xperia v5 for canvas hd . .
It was using a lot of ram even if it was closed.
later the developer removed the app in next version of rom.
Lenovo camera is good... It works on canvas hd.. Install it like normal APK. Force close in Burst mode. Better camera compared to stock

The Lenovo SuperCamera App works on our canvas HD and it is pretty cool to, the clarity of the pictures is clearer and the video recording is also better, so i the panorama. It takes up a lot of battery though but worth the compromise.
I have tried and tested this camera app clarity is too good but i got the create gif animation and group photo options ie options in extensions found so laggy and main problem is my device is heating up abnormally near the camera area. So i just removed the app fearing it will burn the chipset any one facing this issue???

Thats very true brother...
I had also faced the same problem, when I had installed this camera app my phone started heating automatically, after a few time my phone heated so much that I got scared and uninstalled the app but before i uninstall the app it already damaged my phone's cameras focus area and now I m not getting clear and sharp photos.
I suggest nobody to istall this app otherwise you will loose your phone's camera clarity.

I too faced loss of focus after uninstall but after doing clear cache,clear data and re booting, camera is working fine now.

Hi everyone, the problem I am facing is that whenever I record a slow motion video on the Stock Camera and then go to the gallery to visualize it I can see the preview, but when I click on the save button and it says "Generating video" it stops halfway through. Is anyone facing this problem? I am on MIUI Global 9.1.10 Beta but it hasn't worked for any previous versions too.
I'm facing the Same issue, infact just right now I tried to save the slow motion video on my Poco F1 (8|256 Armoured Edition) and it's getting stuck on 95%. I don't know why this is happening.
Found out the issue! Apparently the camera and gallery app really don't like things being saved on the SD card. Just transfer the videos to your internal storage Camera folder in DCIM and try geberating them afterwards. Works for me!
