How do you get snooze to work on the gn2 the voice command never works (voice command works on all other things as it should. ..play next for music...wake up in lock screen...even stop for an alarm but sleep never works. Nor is there a sleep option directly on the display.

If your alarm goes off and you accidently hit snooze, how do you bring the dismiss window back up.
Go to your apps and hit the clock app. At the bottom hit the alarm clock icon. Should be the third from the left.

I don't want to un-set the alarm, I want to dismiss it.
can you tell us more details, like what rom you are running, and things like that that might help?
stock Verizon rom.
Set your alarm for 2 minutes from when you read this. Wait until it goes off, then hit snooze, the alarm options then vanish.
Now on any other alarm, you could bring that snooze verses dismiss window back up so that you could dismiss the alarm before the snooze timer runs out.
I can not seem to figure out how to do this on the Eris, I've read other forums that claim the alarm stays in the status area during this time, but not so with the eris.
Just uncheck the alarm and re check it and the snooze will be gone.

This doesn't seems to be a proper solution. I have seen feature to dismiss a snoozed alarms in many phones and its really useful.
Isn't there any other way to dismiss a snoozed alarm ?.
Please help.

Well I never tried it because it takes about 5 seconds to go into the clock app, and uncheck then recheck the alarm but you may be able to just long press the home button which will bring up recently used apps to get back to the dismiss/snooze screen. If that doesn't work then you are SOL I guess.

The damn snooze button is way to small for me.... I'm half asleep and need a nice big one. Anyone know of a way to mod the Alarm screen?
I think you can press any button and it'll snooze
search settings, u can use any button as snooze

My alarm will go off in the morning and I will snooze the alarm, but the alarm is being dismissed (not snoozed). After snooze, for a moment, I'll see the icon within the clock / alarm app update to show that it has been snoozed, but it quickly goes back to the standard icon showing that it has just been reset / dismissed.
I've only had this problem since I purchased my second Note 2. My first Note 2 did NOT have this issue. I can literally set my alarm for 10 minutes, watch it go off, snooze it, and watch it reset / dismiss from withing the clock / alarm app. My motions are all disabled so it's not about facing up or down. I also did a factory reset and it resolved the issue for a few days, but the issue has returned.
I have a number of apps disabled and I have a location profile app called Llama to manage my WiFi scanning while away from home and work. I felt that this may be affecting the alarm snooze setting. I re-enabled all of my apps and disabled Llama, but none of those things seem to be the issue. I am flashing the stock ODIN image from the forums to see if that helps.
This doesn't seem to be isolated to any particular model as a similar (if not the same) issue has been posted in the international Note 2 forum.
Check in the settings of the alarm that the auto dismiss isn't enabled(I believe there are some defaults set to be enabled). You can also try Alarm Clock Plus in the play store.

Try flashing back, take the vrall4 ota follow with a factory reset, then unlock and root again.thats what I did last week when I was having some issues, its been pretty good since.

I should have stated my intentions. I didn't want to root. This is on a stock ROM and I want to keep it that way.
I just flashed the ODIN image and PIT file from the "return to stock" instructions and everything seems to be working well.
I'll update in a week.

There is only an auto-dismiss feature in AOSP; not in the stock ROM [AFAIK].

Here's what I'm looking for. A Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.
Any ideas how?

Can you explain the logic for doing so? If you're on the lockscreen, the display is bound to turn off based on your timeout setting. Usually after 15s or 30s

Hi,
I am using the GT-I9300 version of SIII. I have downloaded almost every reminder and calendar app from the playstore to set reminders. My phone is on vibration mode 24x7. All the apps work great but unfortunately the phone does not vibrate when the reminder shows up on screen. In the settings of every app the vibration mode is activated/selected. Is there any setting that I need to change in the phone? The phone vibrates whenever there is a call or a text.
Thanks
Samsungs lockscreen. Change it to another as it'll be that causing the problem.
