Tried a lot of them (movie studio, videotrim, magisto, andromedia video editor...etc...) but I think these apps are light years behind iMovie for iphone: they are or slow, or they hang, not enough functions, etc etc..some install advertisements....).
I'm looking for some android app (if possible if it would use all the 4 power cores of N7100) that are a little bit comparable with the "experience" you can have with iMovie for iphone/ipad etc...
Any idea?
Many thanks

Guys, the samsung app is not bad, but the export is not customizable in the bitrate and in the editing you have not the possibility to use the fading.
WeVideo?
I do regular web searches to see if anybody has developed a viable video editor / movie maker for android, and finally there's some hope.
Just came across this tonight - http://blog.wevideo.com/bid/272187/WeVideo-Launches-iMovie-Competitor-App-for-Android
It's a new app called WeVideo, and it's pitching itself as an iMovie-like editor for ANdroid, with some cloud-based features and other differences, but what's important as it appears to provide full "movie making" capabilities across various Android devices.
I'm off to test on my Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Will report back on my findings.
I'll post this reply in a few other threads asking about better video editors for Android as well.

Have you try movie aid ? It is a lot slow but i think more professional.

MovieAid us impossible. I tried to render a 5 minute movie, but after 15 minutes, it was only at 17%.
It's completely useless.

Concept: Gamecube emulation via RDP to Xperia Play
I know this may have already been conceived but I wanted to conceptually show the idea. If not then I would like to get some feedback on the idea. This video will show Dolphin latest emu running on a host PC and displayed via RDP. The RDP client supports the d-pad in dolphin but the other buttons do not work. If a developer could add Xperia PLAY hardware button support, Wii will be in business on the Xperia PLAY.
• Run Dolphin or JPCSP on a host pc that is capable.
• Connect to host PC via WIFI on a wireless N network.
I have tried this with various remote desktop apps on the market. I have found that the best and fastest so far is Remote Desktop ver 2.10.X (or whatever the last is). The results of this test I have found to be heavily reliant upon the RDP app. I am not an android dev, Just throwing the possibility out there. Quite honestly I just want to get some GC and PSP love on the Xperia PLAY. I am aware of the devices limitations, I am just thinking out the box. What do you think?
Specs:
Host PC
AMD Athlon II x64 3.10ghz
Nvidia 8800GT video
1 GB ram
Client
Xperia PLAY 800x (rooted)
Stock 2.3.2 AOSP rom
1ghz Stock clock speed.

Whats the point? If i was going to go to the trouble of that i'd rather play GC games on my 18" monitor. It would be ammusing for 5 mins while i showed my friends.
Still it's a nice idea and it would be fun to see it developed

I was wondering about the possiblity of using those emu's by allowing another box to do the heavy lifting. Maybe it's a dumb and pointless idea.

I felt the same way until I ran this particular RDP client that was fast enough to give the results on the video. So I wonder is it possible to get 30fps on the device with support for the buttons and...dare I say it analogs. I mean a stripped down purpose built RDP optimized for the XPlay.

Hmm I have tried Onlive and despite my poor 4mb net connection I have not had any lag on it at all.
I use onlive and I love the service. I barely play my ps3 anymore because I have a ton of games on onlive cause there practically giving the games away and micro consoles too. I think everyone should check it out.

Maybe just a button remapper as a separate app could do the job and then you are free to use any RDP you like

Absolutely. I think that's exactly what I looking for. I checked out OnLive. That's amazing and look forward to playing on the PLAY once an app is released.
I was more or less looking to play the classics that I already have. I trolled around a saw something about hardware mapping the analogs.

Hi all.
I am looking for a video editing app that has the ability to merge videos together that i make with my note 2.
I dont care about the effects and all the other stuff they are suppose to do but i do care about the speed of the merging process i would like it to be as fast as possible.
It would be nice if i could get my hands on the Samsung video editor apps for sgs2 and note 2 or sgs3.
I hope any of you can help me.
Ps. plz don't refer me to google play store as i have tried most of them and don't like them as many of them are slow and wants me to upload the videos
Try android video pro

I just use samsung video editor - great app. You could find it on xda or samsung progs. I'm on holiday only with note2 so i dont have link but if you search for that app you find it. On xda is version 3.52 if i have good memory (approx 70 mb).
Hi...you like sing with karaoke medias ,listening to your favorite track along with lyrics or watching subtitled music-videos?it being enjoyable also could be great language training and self-learning facility for non-native English speakers like me.
the most easiest to use and more reachable than others is a lyric player that someone could have quick look at it at any short free time like city-in short trips by bus , metro etc .
plus getting its media (a text formatted file) is not supposed to be a drudgery, big money-costable and needs really low web surfing skills !
lack of such good Lyric player App for android is now clearly palpable.
i have spent to much time googling it for my desired lyric app, even searched at any kind of markets and forums seeking for a complete and at least bug-free one, now got just nothing!
alright android devices have to many lyric apps but IMO none functional.sorry for this.
This is a Request page for Lyric player app compatible all Android devices and all type media players!
read it then join me to find a gracious Developer to make one.i ll also look forward to your great ideas.
(if you agreed me hit the Thank then rate it to get our flag high!)
Features requested:
1.At least .Lrc and .txt files loadable.
2.Its supposed to be a standalone app.*
3. Built-in graphical UI Lrc creator(editor).
4. Management of sorted list of loaded and associated files.
5.Ability to get media directly from local storage or search and download from internet pages or reliable online DBs.
6.Customization for screen overlying text flow**
7.Play/pause, FF/ FR gesture and buttons for text flow control(to synch with song)
8.Notification Bar trigger and shake trigger: to start, while app is ready but minimized
9.i'm still thinking ...
*so preferred because of compatibility for all players or the app could be associated with any MP with user permission.
**standard options for text: number of line per page, text size ,font, margins and dynamically auto text highlighting... also for BG: transparent/solid color or a custom image... etc.

Have you started this project?
I just wanted to share this new app with the community. It's called S-pen Recorder for Note 10.1 2014 and is available in the Samsung App store. It allows pdf hand written notes to be synced with recorded audio. You can also click a portion of your written text and the audio recorded at that moment will be played. One note, Spen SDK must be installed from Google Play store or this app won't work. I found this out by emailing the developer who responded promptly and was very helpful. This is the 1st app on Android that I have seen that adds my most missed feature from Notability on my old Ipad. Glad it's available for our Notes!
very interesting hint. thx

To get the app you have to visit the Samsung App Store from your Note. It won't show up if you look it up on a phone unless you use a Web browser and select your Note on the left. I hope this link below works.

it does not do that. It just does a screen recording and then you have to scroll through the video to find what was being said at that time, which is very inefficient for a 2 hour lecture. This app lets you click on what you wrote within the note itself and it will play the audio based on what was being said at that stroke.

In LectureRecordings open the notebook you want to play back and click replay notebook. Once in the replay screen press the menu button and choose the option 'Search Recordings' and then it asks you to touch a spot in the notebook that you want the audio to start from and it'll start at that keystroke.

No problem, it certainly wasn't obvious what it was - even when you select it!
Cool, thanks.
The sound gets delayed though when you use it so it isn't that good of a function.
How do you mean (I haven't really tried it with sound). An additional delay to the sound? On my samples it just sounds s l o w e d down
The sound is slowed down but the sound also plays like 0.1 seconds or something after it should have played.
The picture quality is also a lot lower
