Till i was on ICS 4.0.4 , I could backup APK files of even purchased (paid apps) apps baring a few !!
Now since i updated to 4.1.1 ( and now i am on 4.1.2) every purchased app is labelled "Protected" ( I use APPMONSTER PRO for backup ) & when i try for a backup it does not give me a backup of APK file !!!
Is this a problem of updating to Jellybean or has "play store" put a jinx on paid apps so that you cannot have an APK backup ??
I have not rooted my device ( presently , i have Galaxy Note II ) & i don't intend to !! Any solution for this guys , is it possible to have a APK backup of my purchased apps ???

Without root-access, app-backup impossible, IMHO. All backup-application I used, requires root privelegies.

Google has put a lot of encryption and security issues into JellyBean to protect paid apps. I think that is the root cause of the issue you are facing..

Thank you for your reply. I sorted out like this -
I sent Astro.apk from computer via bluetooth and once receiving finished I could installed it (thank god bluetooth worked for receiving file).
I have recently noticed that the paid apps on play store cannot be backed-up (I use AppMonster Pro for apk back-up) as any app recently purchased from play-store & viewed in the App-Monster Pro list reads as "Protected" & hence cannot be backed-up !!
I don't have a rooted device & so cannot use titanium back-up , any other means to do it ??
Why the hell is every paid-app "protected" ?? It wasn't the case a couple of weeks ago !!
Has this happened because of updating my device to JB 4.1.1 ??
Any help regarding my query guys ???
Here is a very short guide..who are facing "Device not compatible" while download BBM
Use MARKET HELPER app..
Download link:-http://www.4shared.com/mobile/aO-IOeGn/MarketHelper-11.html?
After installation..
Select phone & device...as galaxy s3
Select country as India & operator whatever u want..
Then ur account name..will automatically detect it
Then press activate key..and it will ask for google dashboard..clik on that link for just as a formality..
Voila...now your device is compatible for bbm & other apps too(Dont know about the other apps..but i think its gonna work)..
HIT THANKS IF I HAVE HELPED YOU
Hmmm....better yet, just use MultiDPI Google Play Store....no need to install other app on your devices....if it doesn't work then just google bbm for android...there plenty of people that already upload it in filesharing website....
remember BBM only works for ARMv7 and atleast Android v4.0.4 (ICS)....it will not work below that....

its True..
bt some of the devices like canvas 2,grand,etc etc
got this "incompatible device" error problem
even-though they got ARM v7.. !!
I have xperia z2 and installed bbm like a month ago but an update would just tell me that mine is not compatible with it, i will try this now and report back.
