To Modify Roms,You Only Need 7zip On Windows.
All You Have To Do To Modify Roms,Is Change Apps,Add Some init.d Scripts,Add Some Build.prop Tweaks,Change Bootanimation,etc.etc
Its A Very Easy Work.

Thanks for the complement bro:highfive:
I was thinking of starting just by modifying stock firmwares and then making up my own later on,of course after getting sufficient know-hows from you all.

Very nice of you, I'm sure it will help for more development for our phone
For most devices there is just one guy or team with one ROM who is doing all the dev for that device and its great to see you contributing so much to the community by creating multuple ROMs and tweaks and guides. To say thank you is not enough in this instance. You should set up a method for donating. I think you really deserve it.

Hi Guys,
is someone interested helping me build a device tree for the sony xperia go so that we would be able to compile CM9 from source with the latest sony kernel source ?
i was able to build the ICS kernel from this 6.1.B.0.544 Kernel Source for the sony xperia go allready.....
thanks a lot for your help, recommendations, ...
cheers
We'll start working on it for AXP soon. It's going to be a difficult task, adding a new target from scratch, but after that porting to multiple devices will be easy. You can follow AXP on GitHub.

It's know that our 2012 Xperia's (U,Sola,Go&P) are ST-Ericcson device (with Novathor u8500 SoC chipset) and right now, i'm pretty sure that Sony will provide Jelly Bean for our device GOD KNOWS WHEN. But, we also know that there out is a device with our same chipset and Jelly Bean at launch. Yes, i'm talking about Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini. I have been talking with some users on their forum and i think some information can help us to port jelly bean to our 2012 Xperia's (U,Sola,Go&P)
So, here are some files which can help us to make a working Jelly Bean Rom on our device:
1. I want to thanks nixonik member to provide a full system dump of SGSIIIMini in here System dump.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-S6...d6cDVsb00/edit
2. Jelly Bean open source code for this rom, provided by Samsung.
in HERE http://d-h.st/c1n
3.Jelly Bean system dump Advance S http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2088944
Now that would be really great if some devs step up to initiate this.

my kernel working?
when will you share your files?
---------- Post added at 07:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:20 PM ----------
@DevSwift1:
Sorry for being so direct:
Your bahvior of not sharing any files is slowing down this process massively. There are other who could have a look in your system and helping fixing or whatever.
Even in not responding or not testing my files we will never get a working kernel in near future. I'd like to test it myself, but you did not share your files!
Do you really live the open source way and think this is right behavior?
Here again kernel for XU for test:
No1
No2
Would be easy to make kernel for sola and p to gain more devs and testers if you share your damn files!
This is my last call! Thinking about leaving this project as DevSwift1 surely can solve it alone! Sorry folks!
For me it would be better to work on the firmware of the Galaxy S Advance because it has the exact same SoC (U8500) and I've read that comes out December 18.
what do you think?
better to work with the i9070 or GS3Mini firmwares?

No one is interested in a final release at this point. Share your work at the state it is.
No one will believe you till you did.
Your a kid afraid someone will steel your ideas, credits. Go to Sony and let you pay for your work. This is OpenSource and collaboration thread.
Many (well, not many ) people were asking about building from source for GT-S5282 in the device forums. So, I thought of creating this thread rather than having different threads. And also I didn't see any thread like this. (Actually there was and it's some 7 months old.)
This thread is aimed to provide discussion, information, resources, help etc. about development on Galaxy Star Duos (GT-S5282), as the title suggests.
Please use this thread for what it is meant for. Off-topic discussions, asking for ETA's are discouraged and unwelcomed.

It's not that simple. You'll need to learn a lot about coding in order to be anywhere close to doing it. It's not copy pasting stuff here and there or installing from a backup.

Since you're a noob, I can't think of anything easier than this for you
Go through the ports which are already available (like Mi A2) (must be xiaomi)
See what files the dev used to get the camera working on non-miui roms
To give you rough idea there will be xiaomi framework , some xmls, libs etc.
Try replicating those exact files from your stock firmware and create a flashable zip or directly paste em into root
Also try contacting the dev of that camera and see if he agrees to help you out !
Ask him if you face any trouble throughout.
Ignore people who are discouraging,
Today a noob, tomorrow a pro
Thanks a lot. I trialed and error-ed and came to same method you mentioned below.
