[Q] X10 mini Completely dead!!!Need Help!!! - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello there,
i have been searching for hours in the net but i can't find any help!!!!!
So,here's the case:
i rooted my x10 mini so i can install custom firmware. After that i installed xrecovery via root explorer.Until here everything was working perfectly. After that i installed flashtool and unlocked the bootloader.I restarted the phone and got into recovery menu by pressing "back" several times when the 'White logo came". In recovery menu i made a factory reset and wiped cache. Then i choose to install a custom firmware from zip file but an error came "install failed" or something like that. After rebooting the phone nothing happens. The phone does not vibrate,no green light the comes,i can't go in flash mode and if i press "home and power" nothing happens and of course not detected from the pc.The phone seems to bee 100% dead!!!Is there a way to recove it??????
Please i NEEEEDD YOUR HEEEEEELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

disconnect the battery and rstaret phone

i have already done this but nothing happens

Somethings wrong. Tell me, what are you FIRST trying to achieve?
a rooted stock firmware(2.1-update1) with unlocked bootloader?
or a custom ROM working on top of a custom Kernel?

i firstly tryied to achieve a rooted phone with custom firmware and now i am trying to get it turn on!!!

Put it on the wall-charger for an hour or so, see if something happens.

custom firmware? what is that? do you mean custom rom and a custom kernel. If you are trying to have one of this roms:MiniCM7/8/9,GingerDX,MiniCM7pro,ArcMiniNXTâ„¢,etc which is commonly working on top of the nAa kernel. I think you should flash the kernel first to have a CWM recovery not an Xrecovery then flash properly a ROM.

i can't go into flash mode, the phone does nothing! Is there another way to recover it back to stock???

Find/Search,google it and ask others on this forum on how you can get an Stock Firmware. It's worth 224mb. everyone should have one for this will be the back to stock restore point.
you can use it by flashing it to Flashtool. afterwards you are back on stock. not rooted, and got it's warranties back.

you can go to flashmode with a trick, so you can flash your stock firmware.
power off, remove the battery. attach usb cable, hold back button, then insert the battery. It will be on flashmode. =') chiiiiiiiing. your x10mini is back.

They're about 210mb, although the site may indicate differently... just wait till the download is done. Put it in the firmwares folder and flash...

i tried the trick with the battery removal but it does not connect.I also put it in wallcharger for about an our but nothing happens.it is completely bricked

I still don't believe you are in a HARD BRICK.
I never had one. The LED doesn't turn on? It should turn green. and should be connected in flashmode.

no the led is also dead,
i thing it is the bootloader that bricked the phone.i read something about the week of construction but am not sure what it is.Mine is 10w22 if it's any help.

After unlocking the bootloader you could still get into recovery, so that didn't brick your phone. Which Firmware were you trying to install when it failed?

see? base on what he said, theres nothing to cause a Hard brick on his device. He's even on to x10mini not x10mp(that has some more issues because of the flex)

I really don't believe you are in HARD BRICK.
if you can only go to flashmode you can have it back. think of any way to go to flashmode. or try and try again to do what I told you to enter Flashmode. you should open the flashtool then try my trick.

i tried to install this rom:

ooooh the sevenbean. there should be another requirement, the CWM recovery. not the Xrecovery. things you should have done are the following:
1. Root
2. Unlock the bootloader
3. Install the nAa-JB-03 kernel
4. Enter CWM recovery
5. Full wipe(wipe data factory reset, Wipe cache, Wipe Dalvik, Format Data, Format System)
6. Flash the SevenBean Rom.

and what about now??is there another way to get back to stock without flash mode? For example by copying files to the sdcard??

I don't think there is. If only you could enter the flashmode.
PS can you enter Xrecovery?

no,i can's enter xrecovery mode because it does not even turn on

Your only hope is entering the flashmode. can you do an offline charging?

help! my mini pro stucked on sony ericsson logo

hey guys, this is my first time i would say i bricked my phone. i need someone to help me my phone has been in 'coma' for nearly 2 days now.
so this happened when i try to apply this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306044 and after i carelessly copied framework-res.apk to system/framework using root explorer without setting the correct permissions, my phone automatically shuts off and try to restart but it failed, it stucked on the big sony ericsson logo and 'sony ericsson' text.
i have pull out the battery hundred times and try to reboot my phone normally but it didnt worked it still stucked on the sony ericsson logo.
so can anyone help me please...
what tools/application should i get to fix this?
first of all, i dont want to wipe/lose/factory reset my phone memory data because that would make my phone contacts gone which i never ever want to happen. so please is it possible to backup my contacts somewhere else if wiping is the answer at least??
okay i took a lot of time to type this and hoping someone give me an answer
Hi, what is your model no? and you rooted it?

Congratulations, you have felt the power of customizing Android for the first
Actually, one way to fix this now, is to get back to fully stock firmware.
The second way would be to unlock bootloader, install a custom kernel, enter recovery and use Fix Permissions option. Unfortunately, not all Recoveries have this, only some versions of ClockworkMod Recovery. I have used many kernels on my LWW and only some of these included this option and I can't remember which one had, which not.

If contacts is too important for you and you have no backups, then go for the 2nd way - Unlock bootloader and install a custom kernel, which offers the Fix Permissions option.
I will check the Update Service, if Repair option will erase user data or not, currently updating my phone.
EDIT: Yes, removes all data.

If you can access flashmode, then your okay. Just flash stock firmware.
Will check Flashtool option.
Yep, you're correct, Flashtool has option to not wipe user data.

Actually, i think you could've salvaged your phone without the need of flashing it... If you had access to CWM, you could've put framework file into zip file and flash it with CWM. It helped me once when i got stuck in bootloop after failed installation of a mod

its very easy to recover your phone if you got bootloop or stuck at sony ericsson logo. dont sweat.
first of all you need a stock .ftf firmware downloaded. any .ftf stock firmware .58/62/42 or whatever as long as it is stock.
then download and install flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309
then put your downloaded .ftf firmware at c:/program files/flashtool/firmwares/"your downloaded .ftf firmware"
then open flashtool and click on the lightning icon. and choose flashmode.
then press volume down button, while you do that connect your phone to pc using usb then flash the firmwares. then boom your phone back to life

[Q] Help, flashed PG86IMG, now bricked

So, in prior to flashing a ICS Leak rom, i flashed freeza's PG86IMG, then flashed the ICS viper rom, now im just stuck at splash, don't know what to do need helps. Thx
Same thing happened to me too...seems like those two don't mix well.
I'm gonna research the unbrick method. Maybe that would help

I don't think that method would work for this...at least for my situation I'll need another sd card
pull the battery and get into the bootloader and flash a diff rom.. or restore your back up.. pull the battery put it back in hold the volume down and hold the power botton down.. u should be all set.. your not bricked.. being stuck at splash screen is not bricked.. bricked is when your phone will not turn on at all..

Exactly. You are not bricked. If the device powers on, you're not. You might try wiping your partitions using a SuperWipe ZIP. But if you use 4EXT, you may be able to do that without one. Partitions have to be completely free of all old material for some ROMs to boot.
~co~
actually, when i superwipe and rom flash, or restore, it still gets stuck at splaaaash
I guess that best solution is to wipe all partitions using 4-EXT recovery and reflash some rom worked for me

I need help, custom Rom, rooting..

Hello there,
I have decided to ask for help after reading at least 100 threads here and on Android forum. I wanted to get custom ROM, so I've checked all guides - man everything over here, and I still managed to brick my phone! ( yellow triangle and no boot? )
----------
-at first I checked the bootloader, and I managed to unlock it using 2nd option in particular thread - some kind of software SE..+ code
-then downloaded Flashtool - done the drivers, changed firmware in the folder; download. OctanE, Gapps zip to my SD card.
and then I bricked my phone by incorrectly plugging, pressing and all that stuff while in Flashtool.
-so then I got Wotan, followed instruction, and of course I got stuck again.
-so I got LuPuS kernel and successfully flashed it, please do not ask how I have no idea.
Right now i would like to get OctanE, but I get to safe mode only by pressing volume down key.
Can somebody of you guys be so kind and guide me step by step ( I really do not understand what to do, sorry) how to get CWM, how to root it because I've got ROM Manager from Google play and it says the phone's not done.
thanks guys,
Veronika
Dear why you are doing such confusing activity.
Just do one thing if your booloader is unlocked then you just connect your phone to flashtool in fastboot mode and flash suitable custom kernel of your phone, by the way the kernel flashing is 5 seconds process,
And if you have flashed Lupus kernel then use POWER KEY WHEN MOBILE BOOTS UP AND PURPLE LED BLINKS instead of vol key to enter in recovery

Hello,
problem Solved after 10 hours!! of fixing, un-bricking and frustration. Let me explain:
-------
I've had ICS .587 with bootloader unlocked and could not root it by downgrading to .0.62, my phone got bricked everytime. I didn't understand I could just flash pre-rooted one. So I have downloaded, flashed it and it contained CWM aswel.
Then I've flashed custom kernel Vengeance, after that OctanE, but my phone was a bit unstable, so I got LuPuS.
All done, there are too many guides and I got really confused.
Thanks for help

can't boot into recovery mode

Hello XDA! this is my first post here. Though i have been reading it for a long time and and i am very helpful to this site for all help it provides.
this is first time i have to post because i couldn't find any solution after two days of searching around.
I have a sony xperia Z2 (D6502) and i was trying to root that thing. i unlocked the bootloader using Sony's official guide. But i can't root it. i consulted a guide at android.gs which told me to just download superSU.zip and boot into recovery, and install zip from there.however i just can't boot into recovery.
All the guides for booting Z2 into recovery say that -
1) Switch off the phone
2) Switch on, when notification led lights up, press volume up or down a few times.
But -
when switching on, notification lights of my phone never light up.it just shows a Sony logo, followed by a Xperia Logo and boot animation.
even the adb boot recovery method does not work. phone just does a complete restart. thats it.
Do i even have a recovery installed on my phone? i got no idea.
Yeah You have to flash recovery first. Maybe it is better to flash DoomKernel, he is explaining how in his post. So it should not be to difficult

Maybe not booting the phone in fastboot mode?
OP, if you haven't already you should install flashtool, link here that I used last night https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByK8JL7P6wDTMXRvcTdjMzVuNFk/edit
You'll need the drivers to go with it, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830
I went through all this last night. Unlocked bootloader fine. Used fastboot to install DooM's adv stock kernel but the rom I was on was stock 255 and kernel was for 402 so I was getting a black screen. I think the easiest thing for me would have been to fastboot on the 255 kernel but I wasn't thinking straight, used flashmode to put on a stock 402 rom and then used fastboot to put on the 402 kernel, finally got into recovery.
Man, this is much more work than doing a Samsung phone!
It might be the point! OP try what he said!

Are you sure that your bootloader is unlocked successfully ? Some career is not allowing you to unlock the bootloader. Can't think about other reason. Maybe try reinstall driver... Or maybe another method is avaliable for D6502
OFcourse. Nexus is easier... As it is made for development.

Same here .. am too facing the same situation in India. It is not possible to go into Recovery Mode with any procedure i.e. tried Keys Combination and also through ADB method but didn't succeeded.
Is it mandatory to unlock the Bootloader before entering Recovery Mode? Please help.

my bl is locked and my recovery worked fine until after x amount of restarts and now it will not let me back in.
Hi all, there are a few poeple on here with the same problem. The link is for the dual recovery thread. I assume everybody is on .314 and that is what everybody has? The problem is being looked into. I'm also looking for a solution. I did have it installed before updating to .314 so I'm gonna wait till a solution is found before re-installing. Apart from clean installing .314 and re-installing dual recovery I can't think of a solution off the top of my head. I was posting back and forward with someone last night who had tried re-installing dual recovery, but to no avail. Hence the reason I'm gonna wait. Hope this helps a bit peeps:fingers-crossed:
Yes on 314. I was thinking of.flashing a old fw onto phone before.dual recovery again but this issue has been around for months and I really need to update my rom
All I want is to be in recovery mode on stock fw 314.
When I turn my phone off and start it and waiting for the lightbar to show up for me to press either volume up or volume down several times to get into recovery mode, but my lightbar never light up and the sony loggo comes up and the phone starts normal.
I have also tried to go into recovery mode through my PC with USB debugging and ADB on on my phone and using an script and the phone just starts normal.
I have also tried an app called Quick Boot from Google Play but the phone starts normal.
My Phone:
Bootloader unlocked.
Rooted: Yes
FW: Stock 314. (I dont want any other than stock FW)
ok I fixed mine, recovery did not support partition upon boot hence why it did not load
I'm facing the same problems on .438 with an unlocked BL. Button presses doesn't work and the LED doesn't glow during boot anyway.
EDIT: Stupid question but is recovery lost after a FTF flash? Anyway, I solved my problem by running the XZDualRecovery installer.

Stuck in recovery, KIW-L22, bought from Malaysia.

Here's the deal,
1. I was on resurrection remix 7.1 custom rom with TWSRP recovery installed.
2. Wanted to go back to stock huawei honor 5x OS so I downloaded it on the internet, since I live in Malaysia, I searched for "Huawei Honor 5x Stock Rom Malaysia Variant"
3. Flash the rom, got EMUI 2.0 instead of the written EMUI 3.1 on the file (the file name is KIW-L22_C636B130_Firmware_Android 5.1_EMUI 3.1_Malaysia.zip"
4. Flashed HONOR_5X_Firmware_KIW-L22_Android 6.0.1_EMUI 4.0.1_C675B360CUSTC675D002.zip that I got from huawei's website
5. Stuck in bootloop.
6. I went into TWRP recovery and tried to do something but I couldn't use the touchscreen for some odd reason
7. Went and browsed XDA for around 2 hours and found that I can install another recovery that uses the volume buttons and the power buttons to navigate, thus I installed a recovery called "carliwm touch recovery"
8. Was happy could finally do something, successfully flashed the recovery. Went and downloaded Lineage OS rom based on my mistakes that I've done and never want to go back to stock rom.
9. The recovery has an option to mount the external sd card (my sd card in my phone, dont know why it's called as such), so I did, I still couldn't navigate using the touchscreen as it's disfunctional still but can still navigate using volume and power buttons.
10. Wiped all data, flashed Lineage OS, flashed GAPPS.
11. Stuck in recovery for some reason, can't get into my phone. I've re-flashed it many times
For those who want to know my phone model, it's KIW-L22. When it had stock rom it was EMUI 4 something, can't remember as it's very vague. I think it was marshmallow
Please help
EDIT:
I use Huawei Update Extractor to get into the stock rom that had EMUI 2.0, extracted the System and Recovery images
Used this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoZQHTidnGA&t=629s ) to flash back to stock rom that had EMUI 2.0
The only way to get out of the recovery is to reboot the phone
In the bootloader, it says "PHONE Unlocked" and "FRP Unlock"
UPDATE:
I've tried to follow the video again and re-flashed the stock rom with EMUI 2.0 and it still doesn't work
I've wiped everything in the phone using the recovery (wiped data and factory reset), going to sleep as it's 4:37 AM
This is what happens when you dont read the guides that are posted all over this forum, we have seen it so many times I have lost count and also the inclination to help sort out the mess, I would never ever in my life download any firmware that wasn't posted on XDA or flash a phone without reading guides on here first as they usually not only give the correct information but usually point to the correct firmware.

Your touchscreen isn't working and your getting a bootloop because you probably have the wrong boot.image this is clealy the case as your touch screen isn't working, if you search through my guides for al10 which i cant be bothered to get the link for now one of them has a link to a twrp image of what i rhink is l22, anyway its a twrp image, you can flash that using twrp and it should restore your phone, good luck

This is for the AL10 but should be of use to you, download the twrp image, you will need to make a backup first of your phone then follow the instructions, you cant restore using a update.app as you have wrecked the system image and ruined the version check so this is your best hope to reatore tour phone and install lineage, good luck

is this website trustable? https://android.****************/ho...actory-images-android-using-fastboot-0175277/ as a guide
huh nevermind, its censored, then do you have any idea how to flash the boot partition?
This will be my last instructions then the rest is down to you..
Download minimal adb and unzip it
Download Huawei extractor tool
Download stock update.apo for any honor 5x
Use huawei extractor and open update.app with it
Extract boot.img
Place e boot.img in minimal adb folder
Download hiapp from web
Install hiapp
Plug phone into computer in adb mode
Open adb command window
Type adb devices to check its there
Type fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then install twrp
Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img "or whatever file name it is"
No fastboot reboot recovery
Now install lineage
Now hit the thanks button and write a guide on why guides are important

Probably not working because boot.img is messed up, you cant have flashed it right, you only option is to try flashing each partition with the extracted files and hope it works and if it doesnt return it to a service center, im out of ideas im afraid, i flashed my boot.img before and it worked when i had no touch screen, didnt you make a backup before you messed with the phone ? Could end up being a expensive mistake, maybe try other boot.img or ask someone on here with a l24 for a copy of their boot.img but without that your screwed as it cant load the touchscreen drivers.

sorry but what's the L24? You've mentioned that for a while now. I'm using the Huawei Honor 5X, model KIW-L22, not L24. Nevertheless, does that affect what I'm doing right now?
