Hi
My 5 month old galaxy S3 LCD has started leaking pink colour from the top left corner. It is very prominent and permanent now. I have also attached a pic (sorry for the quality of the pic as it is taken from a laptop cam). What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks for your help in advance

Well, it's definitely a hardware issue, so take it to Samsung
Have written to them. But can I expect them to solve this problem?
Sure buddy they will repair but not sure about whether you have to pay or they will do it for free.

Hey,
I was watching the videos and the hands-on pictures of galaxy s3 and i noticed that there's an ugly gap between the screen and the bezel and its really bothering me, especially on the white version of the phone. Can anyone tell me why is it that way? I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find any so i decided to ask it here.
Thanks for the replies in advance.
I thing every phone has this black gap
not as much as s3
I too noticed the gap and it is much more visible in white sgs3 than blue. lets see what the s3 users say
It's there, but I don't even notice unless I focus on it. The screen is way to good to focus on a small black gap.

I didn't realize it was there until reading this post ;-) Non-issue IMO.
BTW I have the white SGIII.

you know i was deciding to change my mind and wait for pebble blue color bcoz i thought that gap would be an issue. Thanks for clarifying.
Literally didn't notice it until you pointed it out. I have the white and its fine. Probably less noticeable on the blue.

but its so visible lol howcome you didnt notice that 0_o
Have you held a S III in your own hands yet? Videos/photos don't show the real beauty of the phone. Don't be so quick to judge

I noticed the gaps on my first S3, i went for a replacement this morning because of very obvious spots on my display under black background. Suprisingly, the new unit does not have gaps between the bezel and screen. It fits nicely.
I hade this gap too, should i return it ? I have a smaller One side of the bigger that are under the home button
I had this gap on my White S3, its like screen was coming off and i can see small amount of glu coming out of it.
i went back to shop and exchange with new one which is fine no issues now.
I too never noticed the gap until this thread...not an issue IMO (I have a white S3)
Sorry to revive this thread but I also have this under my home button (though not nearly as bad as mani79 had). I just see a small "ridge" between the screen and plastic bezel.
The display model at my local AT&T store has it as well.
in having a look at my white s3, i dont have any issues whatso ever, not even a small amount of lifting or seperation. Must just be luck of the draw
Notice the ridge between the chrome and glass in this stock photo? That's what I'm talking about. That little ridge.
just check, mine looks ok
I have the pebble blue version and a small gap on the bottom - it isnt noticeable though but I will keep an eye on it as I wont be happy if it starts filling up with dust and becomes unsightly.
This phone has a gap similar but slightly worse than mine. Notice the gap on the right and bottom of the screen.
I am an happy, happy user of a Galaxy Tab 7.7 and have been advising my son to get a SIII as his new smartphone.
Today we went to a shop and there was a table there with 4 of them on display.
All screens showed a definite and unacceptable blue tint.
Given the number of units on display I can only imagine this is not a case of a faulty unit but rather one of those quirks manufacturers like to euphemistically cal "a characteristic of the product".
What is the deal here?...Those displays were completely horrible.
Are you guys OK with that?
XK
I don't have that problem, but I came across one guy who did and he had it replaced for free.

All AMOLED screen has s blue tint if you look at the screen from an angle instead of directly at it, as well as if the room is enlightened by a yellowish fluorescent lamp.

My 7.7 has a SuperAmoled+ and features nothing of the sort...if anything, the whites temperature is slightly "warm".

You might have something there...it was a mega-appliances store. I'll investigate.

Thanks for that might just have a go myself
So I just got my i9505 yesterday, and I noticed there are some faint vertical and horizontal "streaks" on the screen that are most apparent when displaying grey. It's pretty subtle, but it's definitely there. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know what it is or if it's normal?
I remember that being a problem on the galaxy nexus which mine had but never saw that issue in the s3... and you would think the s4 screen should be flawless.. I would like to see what others say?

Seeing the same exact thing on mine. It doesn't bother me unless I really think about it, but I feel like it shouldn't be there at all. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with OLED screens and this is normal.
Anyone else want to chime in?

Same thing on mine. Coming from a note 2. And remember the issue on the nexus. Unless I focus hard enough only on some apps I can see. If it gets worse overtime later down the road I'll warranty. But it's not bad enough. My eyes mainly see it on gray screens.

Me too same issue with my S4 I9500. Firsly My screen have pink tont at the bottom, I have replace 3 screens at Samsung service center, but the 3rd one had Vertical and horizotal Streks on screen and i can see them at Gray and others colors so much.
So sad.
Should i replace the other screen?
i would like to know if someone knows if one lcd+digitizer+frame would solve the next problem
my father drop down his s3 and first the cellphone has one line in the middle of the screen
but it was working(one part of the screen looked normal and the other half was darker)
after few days the cellphone didn't show anything on the lcd but it can be powered on and vibrates
in mexico the replacements are overpriced for this cellphone like $210 bucks for the lcd,so i was thinking to buy the lcd
and replace it by myself.
but i wanted to be sure if only buying theses part the cellphone would be working fine again.
thanx and i hope someone could help me.

Shld be the lcd only. Not too sure. Wait for a more experienced guy to confirm it before buying. The touch works right?

I was thinking about buying the LCD and digitizer assembly with The frame because i have seen that they are glued. But concern is about The line that appeared on the s3 ,i don t want To buy the part and continue with one half screen dead.
Thanx anyway for the response,i will wait more for another one
If you want to replace LCD your self see YouTube videos. There's lot of videos for "How To". In some videos they used glue.

thanx for your answer but
my main question is, replacing the lcd with digitizer and frame will resolve my problem?(the lcd is the only thing damaged) or could be something else that made the half look darker on the screen?

yes or no is the answer
Probable but not 100% certain that lcd is only part damaged .
better to replace LCD with digitalizer.. I think the combination is like that
