[Q] Updating CWM Recovery - HTC Desire X

Hi friends,
I have rooted my phone using "hasoon2000"'s "HTC Desire X All-In-One Toolkit V1.0". I have a touch recovery now. It is buggy(Flickering). But did help me to flash R3 mod.
Now I found out that "Yasir Javed Ansari" has made a proper touch recovery without flickering. I would like to use this recovery. Can somebody please tell me how to update my CWM recovery ?
Note : Sorry I can't post this on any other forum.

He probably used the recovery that came with the tool ^_^
@OP, on the tool's thread there's a tutorial/guide on how to put the recovery.img in the correct folder, after that you can just select your recovery in the tool.

Search google how to flash recovery via fastboot.
Enjoy....

Thank you all for your comments.
@MaartenXDA yes that is what I meant. I can't post my doubts on the main thread since I am new. I will read the "hasoon2000"'s post and let you guys know.
@Yasir Javed Ansari . If I use "hasoon2000"'s method I don't have to do it manually right? I don't want to brick my phone . Anyway I wiil try and search google like you said. Love to learn. Thank you.

I don't know why your device would need another recovery image to work, except if the hardware differs, but I think it doesn't. You should be good to go.
PS: nlooooo "Must" not do anything, be happy he made the tutorial, if you really want it you can just politely ask him.
sorry for english "must" i guess it is should than

Don't be disappointed with other Devs. Its not their fault you're a noob and don't know how to use Google. Search before you post redundant topics like these.
In before lock.
Edit- Here's a solution, buy a REAL Galaxy Note 2.

Try again from square one:
http://droidfirmwares.com/how-to-root-galaxy-note-2-dual-sim-n7102easy-tutorial.html/2
There should be no reason why the recovery is not sticking, but DO NOT flash CMW that is for the N7100, it needs to be for the N7102.
Also, use Google.

[Q] HTC AMAZE 4G(unlocked) UNABLE TO ROOT after UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER

I believe you need to install a custom recovery (recommended 4ext). Then flash Superuser to get permanent root.
The answers are here, just need to look carefully. Check out Hansoon's tool.

You seem to be very new to what you are trying to do. Please spend a good amount of time reading and learning before you try and flash anything. All your questions have been answered before, start with the stickies. Once you think you have the procedure down post a detailed breakdown for us to critique.

Root Acer liquid z500 HELP!!!
Hello, I will three days trying to rooot the acer z500 without success, someone help ??
I've used all root programs but nothing, I tried but there is not much information, not already know what to do
thank you very much
You need to use SP flashtool for this
device. With that tool you flash recovery.img (cwm recovery) and your phone can be rooted via cwm recovery by flashing supersu.
Interested in the files?

Hi there,
For all Z500 owners only:
I rooted my acer z500 by first flashing CWM recovery, and then flash supersu (.zip) via the new CWMrecovery
Here's the links to the filez:
recovery.img: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ic6uadwvxf071d8/recovery.img?dl=0
scatter file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzcnqzlxkzy5wx2/MT6582_Android_scatter.txt?dl=0
supersu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zv59bw7bj0ygush/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.13.zip?dl=0
Furthermore if you disable zram (from install-recovery.sh) you will gain additional speed.

Why didn't you used my files ? (which is the purpose of this thread BTW)
Using auto generated files made by MK Droid Tool is not bad, but using updated Recoveries is a little better I think (like CWM 6 and the Carliv one)

@Gillion is it possible to get a copy of your rom i cant find any updated available
Hello to all! I recently got an Acer Z500 and im loving it! This is my first MTK phone so maybe its a stupid question but why isn't there a specific section on xda for this phone? Is it because of the MTK SoC, or lack of community? Latter would really surprise me since the phone is practically free(considering hardware specs) where i live!
This method doesn't works with my Z200, my computer doesn't recognize the phone i have already installed the drivers but it's doesnt works at all how can i root my Z200?
Thanks.
