It may be a rom issue or kernel issue..backup your current rom and install another rom or even jellybam again after wiping everything. Then see whether your games lag

Try to clock your phone normally. So no Performance etc. Don't know about others, but for me it didn't work and just gave me lags and stuff.
Indeed could be a rom issue also like said above me. I noticed Samsung based roms actually are the best for gaming, although that may be not what you want to hear

angry birds lags

i just want to know if im the only one who experiences lags with angry birds rio and if i can do something to fix it
I dont have any lag by angry birds. What rom are you using?
Put your phone to airplane mode. It will get rid of those nasty CPU intensive ads. It'll be 100% better.

you could use AdFree app from the market but you should have superuser access..
Free up some of your ram before playing and oc will also help

What I have noticed myself if the black screen (screensaver) activates and you take it out, it'll lag until you restart the program. I figured it was a bug with Angry Birds. If you restart it over again, it'll be lag free until the screen goes black again.
Its nothing to worry about, everybody has this problem.First, root your phone. Then, install Adfree, this will help you a bit. Then, flash CM or Ice cream Sunday 2 and lags will be a thing of the future
when i play angry birds i play with no internet and im using rooted stock but for cpu boost im using SetCpu at max 800/800 and ram manager at max and Speed Boost and autokiller memory optimizer at max and many more boosts but still i lag on angry birds

Which ROM?
Ace is just too slow, CyanogenMod makes it quite faster, but cant change the fact that most current games are designed for more powerfull devices.

Yes, but which one?
its 2.3.3 KP7
Ace dosn't have a very good hardware to play, use a custom rom based on Cyanogenmod and if you want better gameplay you can overclock your CPU a little.
I think ICE Cream Sunday 2 it's the fastest rom at the moment for ace (I don't tested it yet), another good rom is GingercruztV2.3, It has OC kernel, and looks very nice
I have my SGA unrooted and repaired with JTAG and I had lag first days of using it but then its normal as always

This obviously is not a problem if I don't experience lag, stock or CM7.1.
There is the bug with the screensaver kicking in though.

Really? No dev is going to listen to you.
Just dl a rom and siyah kernel and over clock your device. The s2 can handle pretty much any game even at 1000mhz.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
Sorry dude but... even stock roms can handle all the current games on market...
If you wish to tweak your device do as kilometers4 said... flash any rom with siyah kernel...
Gaming kernel/script sounds more likely to be made

Why? S2 runs perfectly any game available for Android. Stock rom, AOSP, you name it. Dual-core processor and a high-quality GPU makes the combo.
Imo galaxy s2 runs every game
But not perfectly some of them gets laggy some, times like modern combat 3
And overclocking aint an option for me
Because the device already gets way to hot when playing games

I am agree with this topic. plz dev. make a rom for hard core gamers
Just install light , optimised kitkat rom (ex. SlimSaber 4.4.4). Instal DorimanX kernel , set CPU speed 400Mhz min -1300Mhz (1400 if your CPU can handle that) , set maximum GPU speed to 400Mhz (440 if you GPU can handle that). Use odemand/row as a awake grov./schred. . Remember. SII is a 2011 Double Core 1GB ram device!

[Q]Gaming lag preformance

Hello guys
Im runing arhd 17.1 with presus kernel
Iv been playing asphalt 7 and modern combat 4
There is alots of lagging in some stages and some framedrops
(I have 500 ram free and im not using any overclock or anything like that)
I was wondering is there is any way to make the games runs smoothly without any lag cuz iv seen some galaxy s3 devices runing it with no lag !
Is it a rom problem or a Kernel problem with those games what should i do to get rid off the lag
Thanks alot guys in advance
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Can't say for sure if it's the rom or the kernel as I don't use them. I'm on omega v35, siyah 1.8.4. CPU to 1.6ghz, GPU to 600mhz. Both uved appropriately. No lag in both games.
Try oc your gpu if your kernel supports it?

MC4 works great for me..
One trick.
Get rid of some apps that you don't use.
Go to settings > applications and see running services. See which apps take too much ram and uninstall them.
Get the Siyah Kernel. Open STweaks. OverClock.
Use a rom with the no bloatware feature or option in aroma.
Your games will run perfect then.

Honestly the best combination i've used for gaming has been foxhound coupled with GalaxSih's kernel using supercharger v6 and no ram tweaks.
Every single game i have thrown at it it has dealt with with ease.
Real Racing 2 on a complex levels is a good test to see how stable your phone is, and again FH with Galaxsih just eats it.
There are probably other combinations out there but i've found a great combo and i'm happy with it.
Hope this helps.

Xperia U Real Racing 3

Fellow xda users,
I am not a massive fan of gaming on my android phone but since Real Racing 3 was released I can't get enough of it!
My problem is that when running on my Xperia U it is extremely laggy sometimes and also FC's alot.
Can anyone recommend a gaming optimized rom maybe that can actually handle the games needs or is there any tweaks I can do to get it running better?
I am running the latest cyanogenmod 9, rooted with unlocked boot loader.
I just don't understand how an iPhone 3GS with a 600mhz CPU can run this better than a dual core 1ghz CPU?
Any help is much appreciated!
Daniel Lowery.

HEY buddy
- Try to edit file at folder SDCARD/Android/Data/com.ea.games.r3_row/.depot/eds
- in folder have a file:
1. AndroidHigh.plist
2. AndroidMid.plist
3. AndroidLow.plist
4. AndroidXtraHigh.plist
- just copy another one you wanna use, example you use AndroidLow.plist and paste
- rename to AndroidMid.plist and AndroidHigh.plist (in Xperia U use between 2 both that file but i dont know maybe cant)
- and just try playing you felt fullspeed, no lags

i think i may have a solution to your problem. if you install chainfire 3d (requires root(link at bottom of post)) you can decrease texture quality and/or texture size which will reduce quality nof all apps until disabled but does help lag and memory usage which is probably why you are getting fc because you have run out of memory or it is starting to overheat.

[Q] How To Play Heavy Games In ICS Without Any Lag

Hi...i'm using an xperia ray with ICS 4.0..when I want to play some heavy games like Modern Combat 3..it must be lagging.. Anyone can help me..??
Sent from my ST18i using xda premium
Over clocking the CPU may help you with this. And you need to optimize your device for high performance by changing governor and I/o. If you don't want to go through this all, just root your phone and try this
