Android to Android Bluetooth audio - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi xda'ers,
I'm looking for a little help with getting one Android device to be able to stream its audio to another Android device. Specifically I want to stream music but I'd also like notification sounds and other audio to stream.
I have a second, older phone, that I am repurposing.
If anyone can offer me advise on this I would appreciate it. Doesn't seem Google had much for me.

you can check this one, I found it on the market:

Is it possible to stream audio from phone to network?

Hi!
As the title says, i wondered if Android allows you to stream audio from the device to the network? Specifically for Airfoil, is it possible to play music from spotify (etc.) from the phone, on my other airfoil units?
I contacted the developer, and he was unsure wether this was possible with the current APIs or not, i would sure be willing to pay for such a program at least
Such a program exist for iOS already: http://itunes.apple.com/app/reemote-for-airfoil/id396381723?mt=8
Thanks!
Will this thread be of any help:

That seems to be the opposite way of what i am interested in. Have found that my DoubleTwist media player supports streaming to my Mac Mini running XBMC, so i dont see why this wouldnt work for Spotify/wimp instead.
An app that "hijacks" the audio source, and sends it via WiFi to Airplay/Airfoil/DLNA supported devices would be what i am looking for i guess.

This is something i really want too, what Apple has done with their Airplay is something that would be awesome to have in our Android devices.
agreed, need to audio-hijack all system sound to send to airplay. want to be able to sent pandora, etc controlled from my phone to an airplay receiver.
There is some development going on towards this. I use Shairport on an old phone to act as an Airport express :

The Airports keys were 'Cracked ' so there will be something eventually.

I bought winamp for android.
It will be nice if this development can be as you mention.
Hope I dont have to buy doubleTwist since I like Winamp.

[Q] Control spotify on android tab from android phone

Hi everybody
I have a Android based tablet(junpad, like flypad) that i have as a spotify player.
Now i woundering if ther is any apps that make it possible for me to use my galaxy s or laptop as a remotecontrol to change track etc, etc. have looked at Remote Web Desktop but i cant control spotify through that. And DroidMote Server does not work on the tablet for some reason.
So, is there any aps out there that fits me?
I can connect a wireless usb mouse to the tablet, but how cool is that? Would be nice with a app or something
No one knows anyting that can work?
I'm gonna drudge this up instead of starting a new thread. Same question. I would like to control Spotify from my Galaxy Tab 10.1 with my Galaxy S III...
... also same questiion....
Did you get any further with this?
It would be great if Spotify could enable an option to play music on any other device (with the same user registered).
My best solution so far is with Spot Commander; an android application which controls a spotify server on a Linux netbook.
But I'd prefer to use an obsolete Android phone - since it would use much less power - also in stand-by. Another idea - perhaps the spot commander server application (which is Open Source) could be ported to the Raspberry Pi.
Media Remote
Media Remote by appshroom works but is pretty limited.
Hey folks,
Sorry to kick up an old thread, but I was Googling around to find the answer to the question posed above and I thought maybe answering this thread would help the next guy. It seems that if you want to control Spotify on Android from another Android, you can do so using DroidRemote. The downside to doing it this way is that it uses bluetooth.
I'd really prefer a way to do it via WiFi as its' range is higher and I don't have to turn on the bluetooth radio just for this purpose, which in turn consumes my precious mAh's. It'd also be dandy if I could use my Windows box to control Spotify on Android.
This Galaxy Tab 2 will do nicely as a Spotify player but controlling it remotely would be even more boss.
Hello,
Is there any new solution to remote control Spotify on tablet from a phone ? Is there no tweak available or mod ? Even if you root your phone / tab ?
Regards.

I second this question.
I have a small Minix as my spotify player connected to my TV and surround system. I have been searching forever for a solution that will allow me to control the Minix spotify session from my Nexus7 Tablet.
Any suggestions? Please!!!!!

[Q] Androids counterpart for Airplay

Hi all.
I recently found airplay (and hairplay) for my mums mac air and are running hairplay on a raspberry PI for her. I do really miss this feature on my android, I want to get home from work and immediately be able to stream my Spotify music to my miniMAC HTPC connected to all speakers at home.
How can I stream my music from my handset to my home speakers through the wifi network? Please help me with suggestions!
I got a rooted ZTE Blade now with CM7.
Im waiting for my Nexus 4 and will flash CyanogenMod on it really soon so Root access is possible if it involves that.
No answer I figured. There are loads of similar threads.
And the usual answer is use UPnP.
The reason I don't want to use that / can't use that is I'm Streaming all my music from Spotify, there for the reason I want a AirPlay couterpart.
I want to capture all sounds from my android device and sent it to a couple of speakers through a receiver and maybe a computer what ever solution you suggest and know about. Thanks!

Airplay on android

Hey,
I really thought that Android already had a feature or app which can do Spotify streaming easily. I am really amazed that there is only one decent app (AirAudio) for Android supporting Airplay devices. AND the app needs a rooted device!
I am just simply looking a solution where I can stream wirelessly Spotify audio from my Android device to my Pioneer VSX-922 amplifier.

Hi, we are currently working on brining support for Spotify and other, similar online channels. Our app, Streambels is going through beta testing right now so if you want to try it out let me know!
i would try doubleTwist Player

but i don't know how it support other sources

[Q] 4.2.2 Audio-Streaming Options (Miracast/DLNA/Airplay)

Hi all,
Currently i am wondering what options i have to stream audio from my android phone to my PC?
being a previous iPhone-owner, i just got my HTC One mini (4.2.2).
I have a Airplay-Reciever-Software installed on my PC, so i was able to stream any audio from my iPhone to my PC - native.
Actually, i dont want to install any app on my phone, as i dont want to be limited to a specific app for my music or video.
Native steaming seems to be possible with MIracast and DLNA....
I was reading through many articles about DLNA and Miracast - none being really helpfull. I couldnt find any PC-Reciever-Software for Miracast, and DLNA seems to work entirely different.
Also, making my android stream to Airplay doesnt seem to work without root AND a specific app - not really an option either.
You guys have any idea?
Thanks
Lennart
for anyone with the same issue:
DLNA can work this way: Streaming audio from my phone to a DLNA player (WMP on win7).
Also, chromecast can be an option (for google-apps).
Cheers!
