So I'm not even sure what the problem is here. My YouTube and my stock video player both show the video "popped out"(best way to describe it) . It covers up the slide progress bar, the "skip this ad" button, and even my pull down notifications. I've tried looking in all my settings, and I searched online and here in the forums and can't find anything. It does this in app and from the browser.
I'm using paranoidandroid jb rom, but it's done this even when I was on liquid smooth rom as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

All jb ROMs have this issue. Go to Developer Settings and chose " Disable HW Overlay". Must do this after every reboot.
And work on getting better with " searching" as this has been addressed in nearly every jb ROM thread numerous times.

Hey guys, I am currently running a gs2 with cm9 rom, and the cm9 kernel, however if I have my phone on any of the profiles I.e silent vibrate or loud etc, I constantly switches between the profiles automatically, roughly every ten seconds .
Things I have done:
Flashed a newer nightly
Crashed system UI and restarted it.
Done all the wipes when flashing roms.
Changed between themes and icon packs.
Any other options for me guys? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced guys

Try to set Profile to default (hold Power key) and then switch sound mode.
Thanks for quick response, just checked that and it is on default, I wish I could record a video of the screen to show you what's happening

Strange thing.
Try to:
1. flash RC (http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/jenkins/3457/cm-9.0.0-RC1-galaxys2.zip)
2. make Nandroid backup, format system, flash CM9 again
3. change kernel
4. make logcat (aLogcat form GPlay or through adb on PC)
I have no more ideas right now.
OK thanks mate will do that when I have a PC available, thanks for the help well give feedback later

Hi guys,
Just wanted some help from you guys. Suddenly i noticed that my s3 has started speaking on its own. Like when i zoom out my homescreens, it says
"Workspace 2 of 3"
When i open a folder,it says
"Folder opened "
I dont know what happened. I didnt tweak any settings and updated to the latest firmware about a week back. Until yesterday there were no voice feedbacks but all of a sudden they have started. Couldnt find any setting to turn them off either.
It is very annonying and any help would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like TalkBack. Disable it under Settings -> Accessibility -> TalkBack
Already disabled, still it speaks!

Have you got Light Flow installed? There is a bug with it due to Samsung/ICS kernel
Yes i did have that app installed and i guess it has happened due to that app only. However, i just uninstalled the app but it still speaks. Will try restarting the phone once and will get back to you. Thank u so much anyways.

Hello everyone! I upgraded to ICS today, and noticed that the notification to chose a keyboard keeps popping up. It also says that Google Voice is chosen when I've disabled it. Can anyone help me with this? I really appreciate it!

Hi,
After the ics update you will have to press the imput method to change the keyboards you want to use. That's normal ;-)

Thank you for replying! I chose the Android keyboard, and the prompt to choose a keyboard still pops up. I tried restarting and rebooting my phone and nothing is making this notification go away. As you can see in the pic I attached, the only option it will check off when I touch it is Google Voice. It's making me nuts.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
It's always there.
So the notification to choose a keyboard will always pop up when I go to type?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
We all have that same screen with google voice so don't drive yourself to nuts over that. Its the default keyboard that needs to be set which it looks like you did so I'm not sure why it keeps prompting you to choose.
Edit: I notice you have google voice unchecked. Recheck it, set default keyboard to whatever you want and report back

Okay, I did what you suggested and have included screen caps. For some reason the notification to choose the keyboard isn't going away. I can ignore it if it's not a fixable problem, I'm just a little OCD about my notifications being cleared.

Reflash the ROM bud
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Can you please tell me how to do that?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
It will always be up there with a keyboard open.
Cm9 has an option to turn off that notification, otherwise it'll be there.
If you wanna reflash...Just do exactly what you did in the first place...
I don't think he flashed a ROM before if he got the ota . There is a tutorial stickied in the general page as to going about flashing and rooting

I like to have shortcuts to soothing mode and to resolution on my camera because I'm always fiddling with them, but every time I set them up, they disappear when I close the camera. Anybody has a workaround?
Thanks in advance...

This seems to be a problem with all Samsung galaxy phones, I was googling it today, and I found several other people complaining about the same problem in several other forums, but I didn't find any solution...
In the developer section what is your process limit set at ? And is do not keep activities checked? Try setting both those exactly like mine and see if your shortcuts still dissapear.

That's how mine are setup...

Hi
I'd like to know if this functionality is working properly on your devices.
I've tried to post several times on the 10.1 thread but didn't get any answer, so here I am.
I'm new to the magic world of the cyanogenmods, so I don't know how it should work. I just tap the button and it gets stuck on the pop up (though I can close it if I want to) and does nothing if I try to give it some vocal command.
Let me also know what nightly are you referring to as you post.
Thank you.
