[Q] ADB/Fastboot with blank display - HTC Rezound

So I had to replace my display and digitizer (tried to just replace the digitizer and that didn't work).
First question:
Is there any reason why the connection to the display itself would not function? I have 2 good lcds and I'm fairly sure the connection itself it botched...grrr.
Second question:
Is there a way to debug/wipe my phone without being able to see on my display? I have Amon-RA installed with Rage 1.9.2.
Thanks for the help!

Just try to get to fast boot by memory.

What are those steps?

Pull battery. Pull SD card. Put battery in. Press and hold power and volume down for about 5 seconds after it vibrates. Wait about 15 seconds, press volume down, then power button. Plug into computer. Wait 5 seconds.
You should be in fast boot.

dna restart trick

I appeared to have hung my device out to dry a few times now. In the 'old' days pulling the battery and then replacing it would be the fix to be able to restart into recovery or fastboot etc etc. On the DNA holding down the power key until the 3 lower navigation keys blink has worked a few times although I am never quite sure if it's going to work (or exactly what I did). Most recently my phone was frozen in one of those "android has stopped working" messages and I could do nothing, I did the holding down power bit and got a message similar to: "continue to hold down power key to reboot phone for x seconds" x being 1 or 2 seconds on my device. It did not work (and was held for way longer than the 1 second)...after several trys it did manage to get it to work restarted and I was able to get into recovery and all was good. My question- is there a foolproof way to turn off the device or a proper method for doing so? That is when the phone is frozen or when the 'usual' methods fail?
You need to hold down the power button for between 10-15 seconds for a successful reboot.
Sometimes it needs to be plug into the charger or USB in order to reboot. So you plug it in then hold down the power button until the lights flash and it reboots.

Phone won't turn on

I just tried to boot in to the boot loader by holding down the volume-down button while doing a reset from android (power button, tap reset) - I know it's not the right way but I was just trying it. Anyway, now my phone won't turn on. I've tried taking out the battery, putting it back in, booting to the boot loader by holding down volume-down and then holding down the power button, but I get no vibration, nothing. The screen just stays dark.
Orange light comes on when plugged in to charger. When I plug it in to my PC (Windows 7) I get a USB connect sound which is like three low notes in quick succession and then when I unplug I get the USB disconnect sound (higher note then low note).
Any ideas?
Phone is HTC Desire X in case it's not obvious by being posted in this thread.
Thanks
Try a longer press approx for 30 seconds

Phone bricked without ROOT

Hey guys wondering if anyone experienced the phone being basically bricked without actually unlocking, rooting or anything.
It has happened before one, just laying on the table and the phone turning off but it came back on after a while.
Today it occurred again but has not turned back on for two days. When charging the only light is the LED flashing constantly every second. If I hold the power button and volume up then the flashing of the LED changes pace to One long flash (1 sec) to two quicker flashing ones (.5 seconds). If I unplug it and plug the phone back, The LED flashing is back to the original constant pace.
When unplugged sometimes holding the power and volume up button initiates the LG logo and then turns off and then shows the logo once more and then turns off for good.
If I plug this into the computer, its like someone ejecting a usb and plugging it in like a maniac. I heard the connecting and disconnecting sounds from windows nonstop like as if its about to blow up.
I've tried holding the power button for a minute the same goes with different combinations with the volume buttons.
The only thing I haven't tried is opening the phone, kind of afraid I will mess it up. Any solutions?

Never heard of this but I can throw a few suggestions out. Try unplugging, then holding both Volume buttons and the power button (All three) for about 10 seconds. Try different USB ports.
Try this if all else fails: Source: http://cellphoneforums.net/lg/t348484-perform-master-hard-reset-lg-optimus-g.html#axzz2YPtvkfDk
To Perform a Master Reset via Hardware
1. Turn off your device.
2. With the device turned off, press and hold the Volume Down key as well as the Home key at the same time.
3. While both the Volume Down key and the Home key are held down, press the Power button.
4. When the LG logo appears, release all the keys.
5. Scroll to and highlight wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume Down key. Then press the Power button.
6. Scroll to and highlight Yes – delete all user data by pressing the Volume Down key. Then press the Power button.
7. As soon as the wipe has been completed, press the Volume Down key to scroll to and select wipe cache partition. Press the Power button when ready.
8. As soon as the wipe has been completed, press the Power button to select reboot system now.
9. The master reset should now be successfully completed and your LG Optimus G should restart.

bricked chinese tablet

i have this tablet which i think is bricked, it wont turn on even if i hold down volume up or down. when I connect it to the pc, after 30/60 seconds the com port appears (screenshot), after 1 second it disappears and continues like this. would anyone know what to do? flash a firmware? in the screenshots there are all the information of the motherboard
similar issues i had with my chinese tablets. The core issue i figured was that they don't hold charge any more and the battery drops like 20-40% with every restart. so the best way to get this up back is to put it on charge for few hours. then hold the vol up + power button, you should see the recovery mode/options page where when you press vol up button you can choose between 3 options of recovery, fastboot, normal. keep presessing vol up and go to normal and then press vol down to reboot into normal mode. if you have a different battery to replace, start there. Good Luck!
