yep, i.35 hboot, haha, thought that was the problem. you got any hope of htc releasing an updated ruu?
Need help. My hboot version is 1.40. Will the Asian WWE RUU work for my International One X+ Indian?

Last question. I promise. How do I flash the RUU exe file. I am aware that you have to relock the bootloader prior to flashing stock but Hasoon's toolkit asks me to use the RUU zip file. Where do I get it?

Run RUU. When it gets to the first spot where you have to click next, go to Start-Run the type %TEMP% and hit enter. Search for rom.zip. Copy to desktop and there is your rom.zip

if you are just wanting to get it back booting, unlock, flash recovery then reboot into recovery, push a rom to sdcard and then flash it. then you will be able to boot back up normally

Not sure if anyone posted this but the HTC Unlocking procedure works after the OTA update. I unlocked my friend's bootloader using the directions on the htcdev site (even though it says unlocking is only available for the sensation currently)

Why? HTC makes the phone and software for it. Their methods are better than finding hacks and holes in the software to push the things needed for s-off, etc.

I don't see why people are so scared to use the method. Yes you loose your warranty, but honestly how many people have used warranty to fix a phone? I personally have NEVER, but have used insurance 3 times over the last 10 years.

^ Thats why i don't use the HTC Unlock.
S-ON will always be on using HTC's method. I believe it's to keep you from flashing the radio. If I'm correct the only extra thing you can actually flash with htc's unlocker is the system, data and boot partition. Or certain recovery's authorized by HTC can be flashed.

Hmm ill try when I get home. It's not my phone. It's my friends. Hehe mine has been s-off since the day it was released.
Ok so can't flash splash screens. I tried flashing it via fastboot and the zip. When i try in fastboot I get a bootloader signiture error. When i try the zip it starts to parse it but then boots me out. Engine hboot zip did the same thing. While its partially unlocked I think they still locked down some things. Fastboot erase recovery errors out saying not allowed.

Really? 10 times in 3 years. This is why HTC is reserving the right to void your warranty. Phones will be offered as is before long if others are destroying them as fast as you.

Can someone show me the quoted text from HTC's site that says if you unlock using their method that your warranty is void. Or is everyone just assuming this because they want your serial number to unlock.
LMAO
Your warranties are now invalid
Should have used revolution, and keep your warranties intact.

Well that is true if you upgraded the radios and hboot and such to ics. There is undoubtedly a rooted stock or just plain ics stock you can flash. If you are still on GB firmware but an ICS rom you can flash a GB rom no problem.

I can get to the hboot screen, but I can't get to the recovery screen (nothing happens when I select recovery). I do have a GB RUU somewhere that is an exe file, I guess the easiest thing to do is run that at the hboot screen??

You should be able to just flash the kernel like the guy above said if the s off process didn't work. That's the first thing I would try.
Was the newer RUU the stock Verizon non rooted RUU, and not a pre rooted stock type rom only? The rom only would explain why you're getting the jpbear screen on your phone still.
Yea flashing the right kernel worked, but this same phone has now gotten stuck at same screen 3 straight times.
I guess this particular phone just doesn't want to be s-off........
Try rerunning the exe several times. Every phone I've s-offed, I've had to rerun controlbear literally 4-5 times to get it to finally work.

Okay, I had this problem yesterday after I relocked the Amaze using Hasoon2000's HTC Amaze 4G All-in-one kit. Earlier in the day, I had used HTCDev to unlock the bootloader and I still had the unlock file in my e-mail. So I followed these steps to get it unlocked again.
Step 1: Connect your HTC Amaze while it is in Fastboot
Step 2: Go back to the e-mail from HTC Dev and download the "Unlock_code.bin" file and place it in the data folder "Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_XDA_V3.0\Data". Download here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493905 (download "Download Hasoon2000's Amaze All-In-One Toolkit v3.0 XDA (Lite Version)" from the site) - and then extract itr
Step 3: Launch the Amaze3.0.exe application
Step 4: Select "5. Unlock bootloader" and then click Go
Step 5: Then follow the instructions on the device.
You should be all set. It worked for me.

if you attempted to try the wire trick and weren't successful then you should keep trying until you get it. Charge your phone or if it won't charge get another battery or external charger, boot in hboot then fastboot, connect your phone to your computer and keep trying until you get it.
Did you try the ruu file? ph85img? the latest ics one

was just a LG Marquee and i found another amaze on craigslist with no bat for 150
just have to ship it off to tmobile.
If your bootloader is locked (or relocked) download the latest PH85IMG.zip file on yer SD, then power off (pull the battery) and and hold volume down and power until you get the hboot screen, then press vol+ (i think) to flash the image, sit back and wait, then hit power when prompted and restart to ICS. Now all you have to is unlock again and get the ICS version of the S-OFF files and try again, and again, and again until you get it.
here's a fast link the the file you need: http://d-h.st/z70

I'm sorry if that didn't work. Did you try pulling the battery out and go into fastboot to flash a recovery? I'm just curious how yours failed to start back up again.
I bought a HTC One X+ dev phone off craigslist a few days ago, been tinkering with it and seem to be stuck at the moment. (I think) it is an AT&T OneX+, although the cid is CWS_001 (See pic below) which is a cid from a one X I believe.
When I bought it had cwm recovery on it. I tried flashing TW and various stock recoveries I found around the forums, and none of them will work. When I try to enter any of them, it kicks into a boot-loop. Back to cwm, which works fine.
Anyways, where my real problems started was when I went to install Elegancia. I loaded the Elegancia.zip on the phone, and went into fastboot. I realized I had locked the bootloader in my earlier fiddling around, so I went ahead and unlocked with the file from htc. I then flashed the boot.img from elegancia, and went into recovery. (like an idiot) I did not realize that unlocking the bootloader wipes the phone.. so I lost my nandroid backup and the elegancia.zip from the phone's storage. Also the phone won't boot up, as it has the wrong boot.img file on it.
I tried several boot.img files I found around the forums, and none will get me into Android. I have also been trying RUU, but it hangs every time on "sending files" Tried several times letting it sit for one hour+.
So, I have fastboot and cwm recovery working, but can't get ruu or adb to work. I am realizing this phone may be a bit non-typical, and some of the "stock items" may not work on it.
Any ideas?

You don't need to unlock your boot loader with s-off..
A CID is a carrier identification number set so that you can only flash their approved software updates
To change it then just run fastboot oem writecid 11111111
Try running fastboot erase cache and see if it will boot into recovery
If it won't then you need to run an ruu
If you know how, try to get that hboot off by using dd, it seems to have extra option since its a pre production hboot
If not then don't worry
To run an ruu you need to be locked
Run fastboot oem lock to relock the phone
Then run the ruu.exe while you're in fastboot and it will work

However, when I try "adb sideload Elegancia.zip" I get this error:

I am using the latest cwm recovery for onex+
I can't get team win recovery to load.. phone just reboots when I flash it. I am clearing cache before and after, still no dice there.
Also the ruu appears to have updated my hboot to 1.3x. The phone will load all the way to the beats audio screen now, so I suppose that is progress

As i was unable to flash the OTApkg.zip, i tried fastboot method. There i stuck with the signature error.
With curiosity i opened the OTApkg.zip and found firmware zip there. I flashed the firmware zip. it went fine in fastboot mode.
(fastboot oem rebootRUU, fastboot flash zip firmware.zip).
after this my phone status as below.
After flashing the latest firmware came with First OTApkg.zip Second OTApkg.zip)

You may be out of luck, due to the process you decided to do.
But out of curiosity, have you tried selecting apply from phone storage?
I don't recall if the stock recovery looks there for the emulated sd/internal storage files or not.
It may be that is the case and it's looking for a physical sd card when you select sd card from the menu.
If that isn't the case or doesn't help, I'm sorry.
Just thought it's worth trying if you haven't.

[How-To] From S-OFF to 100% Stock S-ON [Facepalm/JTAG/RevOne/Moonshine/Rumrunner] and checkout firewater root methodchoose the pertinent parts that apply to you. But remember to stay on 3.06 to be able to root.
After that you can update to whatever you want. (Stock or custom rom)

thanks but Im already on HBOOT 1.57 S-On so I can not downgrade!
I suggest you unlock your phone through fastboot usb. then, you install custom recovery. in that manner you can flash again the KK update

How to unlock the phone through fastboot?
htc dev unlock method is not working anymore.. is there any other unlock method which doesn't need abd and works on fastboot connection?
use rumrunner or moonshine. its your call..
theres no other way. all exploits run through adb and fastboot mode.

Have you tried the ruu in this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49480720
You still have fastboot working, which is all you need for that. Just use the latest ruu posted there and follow the instructions. That should at least get you a usable phone.
After that, if you want to unlock it use firewater s-off. I haven't used it, so I couldn't walk you through it, but the instructions are on the website.
