Help with flashing. - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I flashed stock with goodies and now for some reason cant flash back to CM10 or jelly bam. I get to the boot animation and thats it. I have also tried restoring backups and nothing. It just stays on the boot animation forever. I tried wiping the rom and everything. I have twrp 2.3.3.0.

You are probably s-on, you have to flash the boot.img separately. Also, try a factory reset after you install the rom.

Yes I am s-on. I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by flash the boot.

If you are s-on, you have to flash the kernel separately from the rom. One of the hassles of being s-on. You have to install it with fastboot commands or using a program called flashgui. Look for instructions on how to flash a kernel in the stickies in the development section.

[Q] Remove Recovery?

I just recently switched back from the leaked Ice Cream Sandwich RUU by changing the main ver and uploaded the oldest ruu (1.02 etc) and was going to just update through OTA to the latest version of the htc Rezound. I the found out that when I tried to update it, recovery (amon ra recovery) was still present and it tried updating through that, which failed. Can anyone help me out with removing recovery?

i use cleanflash 1.0 for boot.img and recovery.img.

or use adb and flash using this command "fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed.img"
if you are using cleanflash 1.0, after downloading the stock recovery,
unzip then put the img file in the same folder as the tool the rename it to "recovery.img"
then use the tool and flash
make sure usb debugging is enabled, usb mode is on charging and htc sync on your computer is disabled before using the tool!!!!

Hmm, well sounds like need more info to help the op then.
If op is doing this to try and get the OTA, it won't happen, due to flashing the .22 leak.

There's a guide in the development section that can get you to switch your main ver to whatever number you want. I put it a 1.00.000.00 and then it automatically switched to the first main ver (when the htc rezound was officially released). Now I've got a problem because my phone won't read my sd card (even though it's working, i plugged it into the computer and it worked), it won't let me flash any RUUs in bootloader, every time i try to turn the phone on it goes straight to fastboot so I can't even access the phone, and where it should say locked or unlocked (in fastboot/bootloader) it has 3 lines that look like this:
***TAMPERED***
***RELOCKED***
***SECURITY WARNING***
Also, I was using the original stock rom for a couple of days before this happend, so that part was working fine. But Ive never experienced this before and this is my third or fourth time going through this exact same process.
Edit: I also forgot to mention that the recovery is now stock recovery again, as you could probably tell, it's relocked, I'm pretty sure it's unrooted, but I can't tell, and lastly, after multiple tires, I could not get the OTA update to work at all. I kept getting error/fail messages.

A couple of things. First you can't ruu back. Your hboot was updated. Second that TAMPERED message tells me that are not on the stock recovery, it only says that when a non stock recovery is installed. If you are just looking to get GB back on the phone, I made a guide in the general section. Search for "how to go back to GB from leaked ICS.

Thanks, and I did re install the stock recovery and have checked several times and there's no more recovery. But I'm back on GB now, I was just trying to get the OTA. Now I'm trying to get my phone to turn on because every time I power it on, it goes straight to fastboot, so I can't access it. So if you have any ideas on that to help me out, that would be awesome. But thank you for the help, I'm going to go look at your thread now. Thanks!

Do I have to do that if my phone's already on GB?

Now it won't let me get into recovery because it keeps trying to update the the software from OTA but that fails and then it gets stuck at phone with a red triangle infront/ontop of it.
Edit: I actually realized it was doing that because the recovery still wasn't there, so i went back to the command prompt and looked and saw that it said that flashing the recovery had failed. so then I went and got the newer amon ra recovery and tried flashing that, still said it failed and still wasn't there. What is going on with my phone?

It's locked you need to unlock the bootloader again

Haha ya i realized that and then unlocked it, but it wont let me flash the kernel, it says main ver is older

There's a main ver fix in the development stickies, or just fastboot flash it

No, flastboot flash boot (kernel).IMG
So it would need to be extracted out of the zip to get the raw IMG file

Ok command prompt said it was a success, but nothing happened on the phone, I'm still going to infer that it was a success. Now what did the kernel update do? Will i be able to update via OTA?

Unable to flash stock recovery over CWM, WTF?

Firstly, my apologies if this is the wrong forum.
Secondly, thank you in advance for any assistance.
Ever since flashing that alternative CWM recovery, I am unable to flash the stock recovery, S-ON and relocked. ADB shows recovery flashed successfully, though "unable to find device" or something prior to that in CMD. Interestingly, I was still able to flash T-Mobile ICS ROM over FastAmaze. Every time I try to access the recovery via bootloader I get the phone icon with the green update symbol then the red exclamation mark. Any ideas?

How do u knowingly post in the wrong section? Why not post in the right section in the first place. If u flashed ics while s-on and locked then u must have used the ruu in bootloader so it flashed stock recovery, so reflash recovery using the all in one tool after u unlock again.

Yup, stock recovery would be nice, but seems to not take despite many efforts.

Don't overthink this. With a locked bootloader, flash stock ruu and it will restore back to stock.
That symbol u see is the stock symbol. I don't think there is a such thing as a stock recovery because u have to be unlocked to flash a custom recovery

Try using the Amaze AIO Toolkit to flash stock recovery

[Q] May have bricked my rezound. Can anyone help?

Hi guys. As the title says, I may have bricked my rezound. I had rooted my phone using Hasoon2000's All-In-One-Kit to root. After successfully rooting, I used Hasoon2000's S-Off Toolkit. That's where the problem occurred. I may not have read the directions closely enough, but now, I always get stuck at the JuopunutBear screen. This screen only has the icon image. There are no options or settings to choose from. I can still access bootloader and flash Amon Ra recovery. From there, I have tried restoring a Nand backup I had made before. But even after I restore the backup and reboot, I still end up at the JuopunutBear screen.
I hope that someone, anyone will be able to help me out. Thanks in advance.

Sadly, that did not solve the problem. Nothing has changed. When I reboot, it still shows the HTC screen twice, then goes to JuopunutBear screen.
Just FIY, I used the command: fastboot flash recovery rezound-recovery.img

Can you get into Recovery? Sorry, just re-read the OP and it looks like you can. Here's what I would try next: In Recovery, wipe everything and then flash the RUU back to plain jane stock. If that doesn't work my guess is that you'll have to try to get back to S-on.

Yep. That's one thing I can still do. I have Amon Ra 3.14 running.

You need to flash your boot.img again. Not your recovery. Pull the boot.img from the Rom you are on and fastboot flash it

I tried flashing the RUU by going to bootloader (it searched for the zip file and did it automatically), but nothing has changed. Any ideas?
Oh btw, not sure if this well help, but my phone currently says:
TAMPERED
UNLOCKED
S-ON

if you've flashed a stock RUU, you need to relock as well. Go into fastboot and run "fastboot oem lock"

If that doesn't fix it (^what Shrike said ^), go to your sd card and delete the PH98IMG.zip file. Then after you re-lock, flash the RUU in recovery, not bootloader (although you may get taken there after it installs a new PHIMG file), just to be sure.

You didn't successfully s off. Try again later on now that you know the procedure to recovery.
But I will say this, keep it unlocked and on 2.25 hboot and 1.22 radios. With that setup you are near unbrickable and also have the OTA firmware.
Just takes you a couple extra steps to flash a rom.

Correct. Yes Jon. Only way to brick an s on is to pull power while flashing hboot or flash a bad hboot update.

[Q] Just a little help

So I recently switched over to the Evo 4g LTE and I'm trying to get everything set up to flash ROMs and such.
I unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and installed TWRP 2.3. I tried to flash the latest Viper 4g ROM but it wouldn't go past the boot screen so I figured I must not have something set up correctly.
Still a little iffy on the S-Off, S-On and if that has anything to do with it. I have extensive experience with flashing on Samsung phones so the switch to HTC has me a little lost. Thanks for the help.

After you download the file you need to unzip it somewhere.
Click on the VenomKernelFlasher.exe file
Click start flash

You can because you already have the rom installed.. It takes about 10 sec to work..

Yea, put it into fastboot, ran the exe. Phone rebooted into another bootloop.

Go back into rocovery and wipe and reflash Rom.
Make sure this what your flashing
