Total Cost Is 11$
SO Is it Safe And good enough to buy?
P.S. Saftey is most imortant!

Extended battery with higher mAh value?

Hi All,
I was wondering if it is possible to use a battery for the Hero with higher mAh value so that it lasts longer? The stock battery is just 1350mAh while I have seen a thread in which someone was using a 2400mAh battery on an HTC Dream!! If that is possible on Hero as well, it'd be a biiiig WOWWW!!!
Any comments??

Yes it is always possible but you take the risk of voiding your warranty + running higher temperature. I used to have 2x capacity battery in my previous HTC phones and they all end up bloated after some time.
So, it is not safe at all!!?? I would love to have a longer lasting battery though Mine is not too bad looking at how much I use my phone... but needs charging everyday and I don't have WiFi on. I would like something that needs charging at least every other day.
The standard size 1550mAh battery looks good but it doesn't seem much more powerful than the hero's stock battery. How much of a difference would it make? Or it designed more to be a replacement than an upgrade?
It's about 15% higher capacity that the original, so that will equate to at best a 15% longer battery life. If the stock battery barely gets you through the day, I'd say it's an upgrade!
I had a Mugen power battery for my HTC Shift, and it was great. I think I'll invest in the 1550mAh version as it will just give me that little bit more juice, and won't affect the form factor of the phone - the large battery will make it far too bulky IMHO and for the price I can get 2.5 1550mAh versions!
Regards,
Dave
Don't forget your Mugen Power Coupon Codes, I just saved 5.00% on my purchase.
Current working code: 5OFF2010
Enjoy
If that is no longer valid just google for a new code, that show I got mine

[Q] Super Huge Batter...for real??

Hi,
Just wanted to know whether you guys think that this battery is the real deal, if it is it would be the ideal solution to the short battery life.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLD-2430...ltDomain_3&hash=item2eb89962de#ht_2238wt_1139
Thanks
There is a topic in this forum about batteries... Some people say it's really good, and battery last indeed longer. I'm concern about that, and I don't really trust non-official stuff. Our ace comes with a 1350 mah battery, 2430 is almost double capacity, way too much for such a small battery, IMO.
But I'd love to know if someone finds a better battery, I can't stand the crappy battery life we have now.
On the other hand, it costs 15 euros, so, if it's not as good as the original, you can still use it as a spare one, just in case.
Then u have to buy another device, cause the Ace is made for 1350mAh. Its a phone for beginner and therefor not really expensive. If u want a better battery u should buy an S1 or SII or just accept the fact that u have to recharge every day and enjoy ur phone
I personally wouldnt buy any battery on ebay or whatever cause its all fake and cheap it can even damage ur phone..2430 mAh for that kind of battery? surely not possible and it doesnt even say its a lithium Ion Battery..so forget about it its just third party crap u wont have a lot of fun with.. think about why it only costs 12 pounds..

This may not be 2500mah although it says it is. bcz it has to be much thicker if it was 2500. If you are willing to spend like $45 you can get the official samsung 2000mAh battery which is the best
Yep. Get a genuine Samsung 2000mAh. Been using one for over 12 mths & it's still going strong.
Tried a generic 3500mAh battery in late 2011, found capacity was closer to 2200mAh after a week of testing & it got seriously hot (high 40's C) when charging so I returned it & bought the OEM battery. YMMV may vary tho if you do get a generic battery; just as many people on here say some of them work well as people like me who think they're rubbish

[Q] Chinese high capacity batteries are good ?

good afternoon guys
of you wanted to know if these Chinese batteries (2000mah or 3400 mah) are really good?
because our original is 1650mAh and finishes very fast, it will be with some of these Chinese improves?
someone here uses?
anxious for the answer. hugs
Bit of a lottery. Some people seem to have good experiences with them, others not. Only way to find out is to try yourself; see if you can get one with the ability to get a refund if you don't like it (which is what I did).
Edit to clarify - My experience was a negative one - 3rd party battery was nowhere near rated capacity, and suffered significant overheating issues when charging, hence I got a refund. Other posters are on the money, 2000mAh Samsung battery is the go.
You must buy only original samsung battery 2000mah . It will give you best result compare to stock one
