Hello Devs
I guess most of us are tired of using the qwerty keyboard on CyanogenMod with our Xperia Mini's and Mini Pro's.
I was just hoping if any dev could port the STOCK Sony T9 KEYBOARD from our Mini's to CyanogenMod ( CM7 or CM9).
Thanks.
Mod please move the thread if unappropriate.......

Stock keyboard from stock ROM already includes T9 and QWERTY both, and I think it should work fine without porting.
I have used keyboards from other ROMs for long time, haven't experienced problems.

Its in the second post, by the name of
2) Black Sony Default Keyboard ENGLISH ONLY OR INTERNATIONAL
(International includes English)
Any solution......????????
Man , CM9.0 for Xperia Mini is the best ROM based on ICS yet , but the keyboard is killing me . I've looked up several posts that have update .zip files for a stock keyboard , but non of them are Alphanumeric Phonepad keyboards , just QWERTY keyboards . If someone could post a link to an update file for CWM with Stock Alphanumeric Phonepad layot keyboard for CM9.0 it would be great !
Anyone? I'm still looking for a T9 keyboard for an Xperia Ray running CM9.
Would this work? I don't want to break anything on my girlfriend's phone...
Thanks

No idea, sorry I only tried it on an Xperia Ray.
I personally think that every android phone rom should have the T9 keyboard as an option, as is less error prone than the qwerty, if you want to message quickly T9 can do it for you (if your dictionary has been accostumed to your personal vocabulary) and that be done geniusly with the physical keyboard, just my two cents.
Can anyone tell me if the stock T9 keyboard works well on CM7? Will it be a T9 keyboard on CM10?
I tried to flash the xperia S keyboard for fxp149 cm10, It work perfectly with wouch, but the hardqware keyboard on sk17i still the default, even after i delete the AOSP keyboard. IS there a workaround to have T9 input with qwerty, like on the official roms?
I succeeded in using Sony Stock Xperia Mini Pro keyboard on CM9, using the Xperia S package as a guideline on which files to pick (on sk17i there are some more dependencies than on Xperia S, but the basic files are just the same), but only for the soft keyboard and T9...it still doesn't enable typing suggestions when using the hardware keyboard.
Maybe the typing suggestions for hardware keyboard are bundled inside some framework jar?
I really miss them too
Hi
I'm kind of a newbie here ... I was just wondering how do I install the zip file once i ve downloaded it?
I neet to connect my xperiau on the pc and then drag the zip file into the root and then do the volume up button to activate the zip file using flash??
i've got a cnm 10 btw
Hello, would it work on CM11?
Try using Touchpal X keyboard as it has a T9 mode and also supports suggestions while using the hardware keyboard.
Sent from my SK17i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
CM9 & 10 on sk17i vs. other ROM
Now tried both CM9 & 10 on my SK17i and though it's a quite enjoyable experience, I could never get any of the aforementioned keyboard solutions to work. Also, with both CM9 & 10, regardless of performance settings, heavier apps like Skype (and even Dots [a game which isn't that heavy] and Whatsapp) wouldn't work properly, neither with the keyboard or in general when left running in the background -Skype would drop calls all the time and give stuttering audio. And audio in general is incomparable to the stock ROM.
In the end I switched to this ROM ReVolutioN which unfortunately is discontinued in this form (but as I understand keeps going in another ) which works so much better for my XMP and comes with stock t9 keyboards already installed, superb audio quality and LOADS more free ram, giving a way-way-waaay faster and smoother experience than CM9 or 10 (again, on SK17i) -although neither is even close to as customizable as any CM version, at least not in the same way and the menus aren't quite as pleasurable to navigate.
But there are so many other ROMs out there and you hardly just need the one I chose, or any of the other I tried. There's a whole bunch of them that have either stock xperia mdpi keyboards or xperia s already installed, so I suggest to try that (as you also get back T9 in portrait mode, as well as Sym-key, GLOBE-key and Blue-dot-key functionality plus word suggestions for hardware keyboard).
Still... After months of trying, albeit not every day, I finally opted for another ROM and now, after about another month, I feel I should share this info with any and all who experienced the same as I and the others who posted in this thread.
Thanks for your time, hope you found this helpful.

The problem seems to be unclear. You mean you flashed some keyboard mod on official ICS and now the keyboard FC's? As an alternate solution you can install any 3rd party keyboard (like swiftkeyx or touchpal) and see if it works fine.
Flash your original keyboard back.
yes im flash the mod for ics,
it only change the colour to the black keyboard. very nice.. but after that.
it can't function,
where to get the stock keyboard? right now im using chinese keyboard.
i want stock xperia keyboard. some body please upload to me
Hello. I am an ordinary high school student having Xperia Mini Pro.
I was interested in the Provision Mod, custom ROM for Galaxy Nexus so I tried to port it to my device.
Since Provision Mod is CM10 based, I ported it with FXP202 CM10 ROM as the base ROM after getting a MDPI ported framework made for Pantech Vega No5.
It was successful and everything works, except the display being not rotated to the right position when I open the slide qwerty keypad.
I think the framework or some files made the silde action not detectable, but I don't know what and where the file is.
Please help me...
Any fix 4 that issue
now screen is turning on by slide but not rotating
Even unlocking from Lockscreen by sliding is very amazing but not working in my case
Where is the config 4 the slideout actions...

I'm also looking for the same. can someone please share the keyboard apk. need T9
So I just installed Super Jelly Bean 8.0 ROM on my Xperia Mini Pro. Everything works fine except for my text-prediction when I'm using the mechanical keyboard. I already have installed the K/B fix that comes with the ROM.
Do you know how I can enable the text prediction, or if there is a plugin/apk that can do that?
Thank you in advance!
Only stock ROMs have the word prediction by default with physical keyboard since it's provided by the keyboard app, you can get it again downloading "Touchpal" from play store.

Word prediction/auto-fill works normally with the on-screen touch keyboard as it is. Will this app fix the problem with the physical keyboard?

Yes, make it as default keyboard and it should give suggestions.
