1-3: Flash clockworkmod onto your android and choose "Install from zip" this will allow you to manually update your phone as well as install apps. For the google play app, look for "Gaaps".
4: Missing the question there...

I did try searching XDA and google and came up with nothing. If you can assist, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
I just did a search with this string "moving apps to externalSD" within the main S3 forums & I got
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=34979795
Within that search, there are a few threads on what you are looking for.
When I click on that link it brings me to a search page that says "sorry no matches"

then use the search string i used & search within the main S3 forums
Ok, I did that, it brings me back to this same thread????
you need to learn how to search properly. if "moving apps to externalSD" didn't get what you want, then try "moving apps to external SD" or other search strings.
Try this for moving data to external sd card for the galaxy s 3

Hi - I have the CM7 Alpha installed on my SD card that in my Nook Tablet. I installed that with no issues and CM7 seems really nice and fast as compared to a nook color. However, I cannot install GApps as I cannot boot into recovery. When I go to the Rom Manager, it reboots the device fine. When starting up however, I get what appears to be a stock error message:
"Please restart your device and try again. If you encounter the same issue, please contact customer service or visit www.nook.com/tablet/support".
Any ideas? Or is there some other way I can get GApps on my NT? Thanks.
Bump - any help?

Haha that's pretty funny. The first time you open Android Market, it should update to Google Play. So you won't have to worry about that anymore.

hi everyone,
my problem is like this,
i install an apk, but the apk will be installed into the sd card automatically. it is fine, as the apk still can be run probably.
however, when i reboot my S2G, the apk's icon will be missing. then i move the apk from sd card to the phone and the problem appears, the apk size is smaller and unable to run. WHY?
though, the apk still can be run if it is moved back to the sd card.
anybody helps please.....

Maybe because u move it after u see that there are other probs before?!
I recommend to install the apk directly to phone, so u can see if it's generally works...

Hi, thank you too =D
i tried just now, same problem remains :crying:
Guys, I have a GO which is running android 4.0.4 and unrooted.
Recently I found out my internal SD is almost fulled,
therefore I want to move them to my micro SD but there is no such a button in settings.
(Only Internal SD <--> phone)
I googled that and I found out that this thing seems to be removed on android 4.
Now here's the problem:
I viewed a page from bongizmo (Im new here I cannot post links here so google these: "bongizmo app to sd" and click the first link)
and I tried to use adb tool to achieve that.
BUT, the adb cannot identify my device despite:
1) I have turned on Debug mode.
2) I have installed the latest driver which I found on Sony PC Companion.
3) Both Sony PC Comp. and Windows XP identified my device! Only adb DIDNT!!!
I really need some help very soon 'cause my phone is going to be fulled,
I really appreciate you guys if you can help me get this thing done.
THANX A LOT.

Hmm I think there should be around the system file where there is a line 'sdcard' and 'ext_card' which you need to swap the word...

Hi guys, i searched the forum before making this thread so hopefully im not spamming like an idiot, heres the deal:
I recently switched to Cyanogenmod 10.1 from Stock ICS Rom on Amaze 4g, before switching i was able to see both my internal and external sd cards when i plugged the phone to windows, they would show as "Htc Storage" and "External Disk", however after i installed Cyanogenmod 10.1 whenever i plug in my phone i only get "Disk F" and its only the internal storage, i can still access my SD card from within the phone itself and i actually store there pictures and music and stuff, but if i try to connect to the pc to download the pictures from the camera im unable to, it just wont show up.
I tried turning usb debugging off, back on, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and i still cant seem to get it to work on windows, i tried this in two different pcs with both windows 7 and 8.
Its not a life or death situation but its certainly annoying, so any help would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You basically just download a ruu and run it in bootloader. You also have to out it on the root of the sd card (not in folders). And also name it to PH85IMG.
That's what I remember I'm not an expert on ruus.

Yup.
I think he should use other Rom for this Bcoz according to my knowledge cynogenmod doesn't support two SD card mountind
Bcoz they made is as a standard.
But RUU is the best way I think.

I fixed the SD card issue using MTP like he said, now my only problem is the broken video recording on cyanogenmod 10.1, has anyone found a fix for it? I tried searching the forum once again but i could not find one, i even tried flashing the 4.3 camera app and still, video recording is a no go.
Go in the dev thread and look for posts on July 1
