Xperia sola vs xperia lww - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

which one is the best
what your reason
cause i really need tips for buying sola

Of course sola is better choice to pick than lww. Better screen, better processor and updated brand

IF u dont care about loud sound and front camera then go for xperia sola DUAL CORE processor and large 3.8 display with hdpi resulations!
if i would be on ur place i should chose xperia sola.... but also consider xperia GO too coz its going to be updated to android 4.1.2.

Actually sola got 3.7' screen.

Deatailed Comparison.

Of course Sola is much better than LWW, but it is much wiser to buy a phone which will at least get the Jelly Bean Update.
I would have gone for a Xperia S - http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_s-4369.php as it is getting jelly bean, there is good support on XDA and the price difference between Sola and Xperia S is not much (at least in my country).

I wont recommend lww. I owned it but didn't like. Battery hog.
Sola is much better option, bigger screen, better processor.

Sola have NFC option, LWW doesn't.
Sola will got a JB so you can choose it.

Xperia S is around 25000 inr on flipkart while Sony is selling Sola for around 19000 inr. I would definitely shell out 5-6k more to get an XS than to buy a sola..
But if at all it is not "within" your budget then go for Sola rather than lww. Just my opinion.

thanks budy for all your help
i d like to give all of you thanks but thanks limited to 8 per day
yeah i will choose sola
but people say that sola have so much battery drain
and if you broke your battery you cant replace it

I prefer Sola Aoi.....

John Cooper, UK Product Manager for Sony Mobile, has been taking questions from customers on Facebook and, perhaps inadvertently, revealed that both the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S and Xperia mini pro will not receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.
We have been waiting for Sony to make an official statement on their Jelly Bean upgrade plans and this is the first concrete news we have on the matter. The Xperia arc S was the highest specced 2011 Sony Xperia handset, so if this handset isn’t getting it we can conclude that none of the other Xperia handsets from the 2011 range will get the update either. However, the 2012 Xperia range do look likely to get the update, although timing remains an unknown right now.

4.1 JB is like a small update(although a lot of build differences) of 4.0.4 ICS so it is much easer to upgrade!
unlike 2.3.4 GB to 4.0.4 ICS, SONY makes a big jump..

At least, sony should be honest with users, and release an optimal version of ICS

Xperia 2012 - too few developers or maybe boring?

hello...
talking about Xperia 2012, i'm a Sola users, and before i buy Sola, i was decided to buy arc S cause there is many developers.
well, i want to asking something...
In my opinion, there is so few kernel or ROM developer for our device line... you can look at arc S or Neo/Neo V section, why is it happened? even we still waiting for great developers like DoomLorD, nickholtus, zackconsole, munjeni, etc .to port their work to Xperia 2012 line.
and then, why some developers still survive with Xperia 2011 line?
why is it happened?
thank you for your answer ^^
Its the chipset dear.....and the scarce sources... As nickholtus said... Novathor is closed source....
Nothing is boring bt without proper prerequisites not even a developer can help us...

Well, besides us being stucked in ICS, no developer starts working on a CM10. We only CM9 ROMs and MIUI ROMs.
I do not see a huge advantage in using a CM9 ROM, we already have the ICS Stock that has a similar performance and also has the bonus of using all Sony officials apps that at least are efficient and beautiful.
If I see no CM10 (even in alpha stage) running on my XU, surely I will sell it for a low price and will buy a GSII.
Even my old XperiaX8/Defy+ have CM10 full-working and this damn XU has no CM10.
I bought this phone because it is a cheap dual-core (R$ 749 here in Brazil)
The GSII which has a performance similar to XU but GSII costs R$ 1,299 and I do not have much money.

You cant really say this, I know its a male infested forum, but thats just really sexist
Hybrid S, P and U ... They really should name it Xperia UPS, though someone would sue Sony immediately, hence SP
I like the spec and the light bar (the reason I bought XU), a touch of aluminum, but since SP is not a flagship, and Android 5.0 will come soon, I don't think SP is a wise bet ...

Still that wont b a fully functional port.... We hve jb by munjeni bt its also not a fully functional one
Some members of official cm team refused to support s4 which was exynos based (although rest of the cm team said they dont prior announce support)
Bt the fact is its extremely difficult to get things working without sources no matter which chipset or which developer.... Qualcomm rules for a reason and we know this.....

[U,SOLA,GO] Slow NAND / I/O

You have noticed right that Xperia U, Sola, Go is slow at times, and you might wonder why it's like this. It has come to conclusion that this issue is related to our phones internal memory (NAND) and the issue is that it's slow and unreliable.
The Sony Xperia U, Go and Sola uses the same NAND memory, the sdin5c2 and is made by Sandisk, here is a datasheet of the NAND:
http://omapworld.com/iNAND_e_MMC_4_41_IF_data_sheet_v1_0[1].pdf
I have done some benchmarking of the NAND memory now, and my theory of it being slow seems correct, especially when it comes to the random write and read speed, which needs to be good for the device to operate in a good way,
Here is some of my benchmark results:

Nexus 7 (Comparisment to see what's normal):
Seem's like Sony have been chosing a cheap and unreliable NAND memory, as these benchmark results really shows how bad it is. Also the slowdown of the phone while downloading apps and such shows it also.
Heres my task for all Xperia U, Sola and Go users, go to the Play Store and download the app called AndroBench and do a full benchmark, then post a screenshot of the result here so I can get a wider amount of tests so that we can see if it's just my NAND or everyones. Also post which device you use and what rom you use, as that might be useful.
This is the result of my XSola

Pretty much what I did get, so that means my theory might be right.
Here's mine
Xperia Sola AOSP 4.1.2 ROM
looks like you're right.

Yeah, look's like it, those values aren't normal compared to other devices.
But I have also a Acer Iconia B1 A71 Tablet and it has nearly the same result But it's 100-120€ Tablet so I think it's acceptable Will ask my brother if he can do it also on his Xperia Z
So my bro got following result on his XZ:

Ok, thanks.

You should figure out why fps is not stable and scrolling is laggy.
Thats main problem.

Actually that can be caused by slow NAND, as it takes more time to load animations and text and such.

Results are more or less the same at my end as well, I am using Xperia U on Stock ICS.

Yeah, almost all benchmarks on XU, Sola and Go gets the same because of the nand.
NAND is really slow than Nexus but Nexus have more prices than us bro

It lags? I run aosp jb without any lags. Compared to my nexus 7 its pretty fast.

Yeah even aosp is not smooth.

By the looks of the Xperia P screenshots Xperia P have another version of the NAND which performs better.

no difference with other phone
