Why do you need a screen protector for a phone that has Gorilla Glass on it?!? (in this case gorilla glass 2) I have never ever scratched a phone with gorilla glass, I dont use a case and I do put it in my pocket. (empty pocket of course) in my opinion if you put a case/screen protector you only take away from the great design of the phone.
Dude, some people lead busy and active lives that are hazardous to fragile things like glass. To condemn a huge portion of the population who like to keep their $600 toy from getting a knick in it or worse is pretty asinine.

Gorilla glass 2 is trash. If your expecting the same from it that you did the original your in for some heartbreak.
Captivate 2 years not a single scratch still flawless. G2 og scratched twice in first 2 weeks. Luckily my screen protector hides the scratches so I'm not pulling my hair out from ocd.

These protectors are terrible. I bought three, and I had to throw all of them away due to complications while installing. If you manage to get it applied, you will end up with air bubbles or soap stuck under the protector. I have applied dozens of dry screen protectors over the years, and this was my first (and last attempt) at a wet application screen protector. The coupon price was still in effect last week, so I bought three of these protectors. They arrived today. I read the included instructions and watched two videos about how to apply them. While trying to apply one, there was soap stuck under the middle of the protector, and it would not come out, no matter how much flattening I attempted with the included hard plastic tool. In fact, the screen was easily scratched by flattening it out. I had to throw away that first one.
I used less soap for the second one, but there were air bubbles and soap was stuck under the protector again. I then tried to reuse this protector without soap, but it was simply too sticky to arrange properly. When I had finally gotten it in the right position, the air bubbles would simply not come out.
The third time, I used a different kind of soap. Same problems. Soap and air bubbles stuck under the screen. The screen protector scratches and deforms when attempting to get out the bubbles.
Again, I've applied many dry screens, so I am familiar with the trickiness of bubbles. I have overcome them many times. With these wet screen protectors, you simply cannot remove the bubbles, and you will deform the protector while attempting to remove bubbles. If for some reason you enjoy throwing away money and time and wish to install this protector, first cover up the phone's ear speaker. A lot of water and soap seeped in while attempting to install these things.
Thanks, Just ordered one!
Anyone know of cheap back protectors?

Does anyone know where I can buy a screen protector that will arrive in Michigan before my phone arrives this week? Skinomi is not what I'm looking for either. If it's not cheaper than the Verizon brand, don't bother please..
It seems like there aren't a whole lot of third party accessories available until this thing drops, huh? I don't remember buying a phone and seeing this small of an amount of stuff available right off the bat.
you wouldnt need a screen protector, its gorilla glass scratch-proof and splash-resistant..
Scratch resistant, not scratch proof. I work in construction where "proof" doesn't exist!
I've seen on ebay

Try looking for scratched Gorilla Glass. It's all over the web. I had the Bionic for two weeks and scratched the corner. I was very careful with that phone because I knew there was a chance I was going to return it. I have no idea what caused it and don't want it on my new phone.
I have read about the special coating that might be on it to make it easier to clean, maybe that's what's scratched. Either way, it's a scratch.
Its sand or grit in your pocket that does for gorilla glass, not the coin and keys.
Why you don't like skinomi?
i found theìr screen protectors absolutely invisible and even fun to apply!
If you can't find any RAZR screen protector, buy one for iPad or for Galaxy Tab, or anyway something BIG, then cut it for your phone and apply
Anyway, it's true, I've scratched my SGS2's Gorilla Glass. It isn't scratch proof. I've scratched it without SAND or DIAMONDS, it has been scratched passing on my metal "buttons" of my jeans'pocket.
It's only marketing.

I ordered one from Skinomi on Nov 4, they gave me a tracking number on Nov 5, and the status has been "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on November 05, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date." ever since. I was kinda hoping I'd have it before I got the phone... bah.
So I'm just being super careful until I get the skin. I have a Skinomi on my iPod Touch and it is just great. ZAGG on my DInc, but I prefer the feel of the Skinomi.
Had a skinomi on my epic 4g touch but took it off. It just seems like it takes away from the brightness of the phones display. I agree though that its a better feel than the invisishield.

So I decided to got without a screen protector or a case for the first time on any smartphone I've owned. It's been over a month and my Razr is flawless. I get a lot of oohs and aahs over it also. It really is too slick looking to want to cover it up.
Can I go 19 more months? Don't know. I guess we'll see if someone unlocks this damn thing. Maybe I won't have to worry about scratching it. If I can't throw some ROMs at it, I'll probably have to get rid of it..

Personally, I think screen protectors are overrated and not needed......unless, however you are very prone to bumping, dropping, rubbing your phone up against surfaces.
They dull your screen and diminish the quality as well...it's a downgrade as far as I'm concerned.
Go without the screen protector as you'll be much happier.......unless you fall under my description. LOL
I've never used a screen protector and for the first time got a case...the Cimo S-Line soft case.
I think I'll go for ZAGG
I don't reckomend the ZAGG invisible shield, it is wothless.
The screenprotector is very badley cut so it is mor than 5mm to short in both directions! + it does look pretty ugly around the speaker. It truley suck.
Can i have some screen guard recommendation for Verizon Droid RAZR
Any brand that I should buy ...
Pros and cons
Screen protector for Droid Razr
Well I had ordered the Skinomi screen protector for the Droid Razr and it was pretty much useless for me. It is a water adhering type and could never get it straight until several attempts, and even then after it dried it felt very rubbery and not smooth to use on a touch phone.
I also had a couple of basic protectors ordered with 2 tpu gel cases I ordered from ebay and they were pathetic. Watch out using stuff they throw in for free on ebay with case orders as they aren't worth hassling to put on without bubbles and scratch easily anyway.
Funny enough, after spending 30 bucks on cases and screen protection I have gone back to using the screen unprotected and it fits a leather slide case I bought and cut the belt clip off of. Fits snuggly and the screen is protected in my pocket. I am careful when getting it in and out but have dropped it once and only a couple small scratches on the back corner, the screen is still perfect.
PS. on a side note when I first bought the Razr there were no screen protects available and I ended up using a HTC HD7 mobile screen protector and it was slightly wider and did not reach all the way top and bottom. I regret taking it off, as it fit without bubbles and was tough. Might just buy another and cut the sides off a bit.
Just got new screen protector in mail
Just received the QtFolix screen protector from Germany I ordered a couple weeks ago. Been waiting to try it out on the Razr.
I work in a private hospital in the sterilizing section so have access to dust free environment, air guns, lint free cloths and such. Its a stick on protector so no water needed. Will give it a good go to put it on and will post back with results. Looks like a good quality protector, set me back 10 bucks for just the one. I won't have second chances with this so fingers crossed.
Are there not enough threads on this?

Martin fields SP is pretty good.
Steinheil ultra crystal, feels amazing and waterless application. Tried skinomi this time to save a few $$, took it off, it was horrible.
Steinheil Ultra Fine for me. No glare, no fingerprints and doesn't feel like it adds any thickness. In fact, it doesn't seem like it's even on.

Why do you even need a screen protector? It's already Gorilla Glass. Do you bump your phone against things all the time?
Nothing is going to scratch or crack the screen.
GG is not scratch proof. Especially against sand. There's a reason you always see them demo it against keys or coins but never use sand or glide it across a gritty sidewalk like if you dropped it and it slides. There's plenty of forum threads where people talk about scratches they've gotten.

I bought a 3 pack from Verizon and ordered some skinomies (spell?) Online. Took the Verizon one off today as it gathers a lot of smudges.
The way I see it, the average person won't scratch it naked. However, I've watched some drop test videos and this puppy cracks easy. So in my opinion, all a screen protector will do is keep those broken pieces intact, which will hold you over until you get a replacement.

I am using the clear screen protector from Verizon. Pretty good although I can see fingerprints in low light. And it took me 4 tries (read: 4 of them) to finally get it right.
My GF had a Zag clear screen protector put on her Droid X at a mall kiosk. Those things are hard to install yourself but a Rep at the mall can do it in no time. It looks great. Had I known about this, I would have done that for my Razr.

The Steinheil Ultra Fine covers the whole screen on mine except for cutouts for the mic, camera and flash.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'dry'. It has a squeegee for getting out air, but there was no water involved in putting it on and no instructions about leaving the phone off like the other poster was saying with another brand.
It went on very easily - no problems at all - but it does come with two in a package so if you did have trouble you have a spare.
I really love the anti-glare and no fingerprints. I had the one on that came with my Otterbox defender and before that just the bare screen. Both of those had me constantly wiping smudges off and battling glare more than I realized until it was no longer an issue.
Has anyone tried the Skinomi Drytech for the razr (GSM International)? I'm not sure if it'll even fit the US version of the phone, but it looks like it might be worth checking out. I can't post the link yet, but searching "razr dry" on the skinomi website will bring it up first on the list.

Looked like crap after install (like I read) but looked much better in the morning. Ultimately, I ripped it off, as it leaves little half moon indents from fingernails. Can't have that.

Just wondering how your screen has been holding up. B&N rep told me that NT does not have a Gorilla Glass, so I'm more than little concerned about the screen.

wow, i cant believe I didnt even notice that when I typed it, lol
It's not glass, it's some sort of acrylic. I put an antiglare protector on mine, just to be safe.
And that's why I come here everyday, to read helpful comments like that!
thatdude90210, looks like I might have to go that route, it's been so long since I've had to use one though...
I may have to get a screen protector. Ditched the one on my phone with gorilla glass and scratched it within a week. Two years later the Droid has two.
I was cleaning the screen of my brand new nook before applying screen protector and noticed a thin scratch on a shiny screen under a bright light, so i guess it need some protection if you are care.
The best way to keep the screan free of dirty and scratches is using an anti-glare protector on it, it may redice a little the brightness of the color shown on screen but its the little price to pay for a scratches free screen.

Hi guys, I'm new to Android OS and to Samsung phones, so welcome me! I came from using BlackBerry for years. Never tried iOS, nor owned an iPhone, so I hope I made the right choice.
So there's a scratch already on my phone. I can't tell whether it's on the screen protector or the screen itself... I'm debating whether I should peel the protector off and take a look (obviously losing it in the process).
How do I tell? I'm very obsessed about my new Note, so it's hard for me to not notice.
The screen protector was put on since day 1. The CSR from Future Shop (Best Buy owned in Canada), put it on for me and I sure hope he didn't scratch the screen while applying the cleaning solution, wiping it, etc. before putting on the screen protector (I was watching him do it)... The screen on the Note doesn't scratch easily does it?
im sure its only on the screen protector but that would make me weary of how well it protects. I replaced my screen protector and switched to a sgp protector cause on my original protector the s-pen scratched it....since I switched to sgp I have used the crap out of the s-pen and it hasnt scratched these yet

Thanks for fast reply. What is this SGP protector? I'm going to look into that.
It's a good thing I didn't pay for this ZAGG protector... It was $19.99 lol, they gave it to for free so I'm not so upset about it (as long as it isn't on the ACTUAL screen). I can actually register the product and ask for a replacement (since it's lifetime guarantee), but will cost me $3.99 for shipping.

That's what I've been wondering myself... I'm not sure where the scratch came from because I barely used the S-pen, and the scratch is half an inch long (noticed it on white background).
Anyway, that's what made me to believe that the scratch could be on the screen itself since there is also a little dust particle that I can see under.
Over time, my Zagg looked like it had many scratches and I could not discern whether it was on the screen or Zagg. Eventually, I removed it out of annoyance with the orange peel and tackiness. The Zagg did it's job. I liked other wet protectors more because they felt more like glass and didn't have the orange peel. I'm using a dry SGP now, it's very nice. I'd recommend the SGP over the Zagg any day of the week.

This is another gripe I have about my screen protector... The orange peel feeling and the fact that the S-Pen is HORRIBLE with it. Anyway, I don't use the pen much so it's fine.
I do like it since it hides fingerprints well. I guess I do have to try SGP.. Wet and dry protectors? I'm assuming dry is just the usual adhesive style, while wet is the ZAGG where you have to use the liquid solution?
Here is what my SGP looks like and I have used the s pen alot

Another thing... the Zagg protector doesn't cover the top right side of the phone as well.
While I did not choose a zagg to put on my gnote, I have used them in the past and they can take some serious abuse! Unless you really smacked, it I doubt the scratch went through.
I went with a sgp since it is clearer and for the s-pen. I wanted the s-pen to have as close to a stock screen as possible and the sgp does that very well.

I've used Invisibleshield (Zagg nowadays) protectors for years now on 5 or 6 different devices. Never managed to scratch it. If you scratched the protector, you'd know it. It would have either had to have been something as sharp as a knife, or have taken a pretty good hit.
But, if you see dirt or dust behind it, then the install area wasn't very clean. So, is it possible that the "scratch" you are seeing could be some debris between the protector and the screen (like maybe a hair)?

Hey, hope you read this and share if you eventually found out if the scratch was on the protector or underneath after several months.
I have the same exact problem as you, I am seeing some scratch color distortion in white background. Hopefully the scratch is on the protector, not the screen. Problem is I have no way to know since I didn't install the protector myself, unless of course I remove it which I don't want to do right now.
You can always replace it through zagg.com for only the cost of shipping the old one back and the new one to you. To the USA is 3.99 I believe.

Just got my G3 from Best Buy on Sunday and this phone is pretty impressive. I always like to get a screen protector as soon as the phone comes out of the box. I bought the Zagg Invisible Shield Tempered Glass screen protector and it is pretty awesome. Don't have to worry about the orange peel that is on their regular screen protectors and the clarity is really good. Check it out.

I also scratched my screen on the very first day. I am not sure how I scratched it but its there. So in a case of closing the barn after the horse ran off I bought a tempered glass screen protector from Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KGSW734/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Price wise it was 9 dollars but I really liked and and best of all is that it has a life time replacement warranty.
Now about the actual glass its not too thick and though it does slightly protrude a bit you don't really notice unless your really looking for it. The shape is perfect and fits exactly as it should reaching the edges exactly.
Now for the scratch proof test, Since it did have a lifetime warranty I said screw it and took a knife to it. I really did try to scratch it and I wasn't successful. I thought those advertisement pics and videos were bull$hit but it really didn't scratch.
Anyway all in all I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice screen protector and doesn't like the feel of the thin film/ membrane type ones.

Interesting product. I scoffed at the idea of paying $40 for a screen protector, I've lived through all my smartphones on cheap Ebay films. They get scratched up over time, but by the time I even think I should replace it, the phone is over a year old anyway. I've never applied more than 2 over the life of a phone, and the one on my EVO 4G LTE is the one I applied on launch day. Even so, for this price I'd go for the glass protector. That micro-ridge you'd get would be covered by a case anyway, too.

I also scratched my screen on the very first day. I am not sure how I scratched it but its there. So in a case of closing the barn after the horse ran off I bought a tempered glass screen protector from Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KGSW734/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Price wise it was 9 dollars but I really liked and and best of all is that it has a life time replacement warranty.

ok so for real does it cover the whole screen? i bought that $40 zagg one and it has a pretty large gap all around it look and feels good but the gap is some bull ****. I thought a case would close the gap but no not even close.

so my bulldog decided to jump off the bed today and landed on my phone... needless to say there's a scratch on the screen now, will a screen protector hide it?

Possibly, I guess it all depends on how big the scratch and how deep it is. Doesn't hurt to try and protect it from more scratches.

I went with the iloome LG G3 ScreenMate Flex Flexible Glass 8H Hardness. Money well spent, looks flawless.

I used to get Bodyguardz but they didn't have the anti-glare for the G3, then I found iCarez on Amazon. It has better quality than Bodyguardz and comes with three protectors. Best of all, the price was $4.95.
I am very particular with my phone. My phone is naked except for the screen. I used to use Zagg on my HTC EVO 4G and Galaxy Nexus, then switched to Bodyguardz for my Nexus 5, but when I realized they didn't make the anti-glare for the G3 I was lost. Amazon saved me. I am so happy I found iCarez. I have another set in the way for my wives new iPhone too.

Picked up a iCarez Tempered Glass protector and must say, for ~$8 you get one heck of a piece of kit. The Protector fits great, looks great, and feels fantastic with a smooth touch. While they are this cheap I highly recommend them.
*Edit* Ha completely missed the first page post, but yes same protector and for the price, this screen protector is the real deal.
Just got my ZAGG invisible shield glass edition from ups today feels great

Just got my G3 from Best Buy on Sunday and this phone is pretty impressive. I always like to get a screen protector as soon as the phone comes out of the box. I bought the Zagg Invisible Shield Tempered Glass screen protector and it is pretty awesome. Don't have to worry about the orange peel that is on their regular screen protectors and the clarity is really good. Check it out.

My ZAGG glass covers the whole screen with my otterbox silhouette case on the only part it doesn't cover is by the ear speaker and the front camera

If i kept my phones long enough i would pay for something like a zagg. Truth is i change phones a lot. Sometimes i dont even have everything come in that i order before i have traded or sold/bought another one. For this reason i usually get a 7-10$ ebay tempered glass protector. I love the glass ones. I cant see how paying an extra 25$ could make it that much better. The cheaper ones feel great imo. I dont think i can ever go back to a plastic screen protector now that i have used glass

@docnas
Sounds great. Thanks for tip. Ordered mine tonight.
5 months into using the Icarez and I have to say I still love it. No problems with it whatsoever and it still hasn't been scratched. What else can a person want from a screen protector?
@ScottPa74- no problem for the recommendation. THe first thing I do when i get a new device hel sometimes even before I get i come to XDA to check out whether its worth it and what should I get for it.
