Is there really no way to overclock our p500 to default 800mhz? i saw the samsung galaxy ace is running the same processor with us but the default cpu is 800mhz
Is there possible to overclock more to 800mhz for our p500?for me,748 stable for me,but when i change to 768,sometimes it will black screen and no responding n i got to take our my battery..
Sorry, physically it is NOT the same processor. I have explained it many times here. All those Intels/AMDs with exact same stepping sold at different freqs are also the "same" processor.

but i heard that for galaxy ace samsung has overclock itself to 800mhz?they say the original fre also 600mhz?
it has to do with the way the mass produce IC. They are not the same cpus. Google for terms, stepping and waffer to get the picture
This is just absolutely lost cause trying to explain this, apparently. If you assume that LG are complete morons who could sell their phone with 800MHz CPU but they decided that would be too cool, continue to do so. You own experience shows that the chip is NOT stable @800 MHz. Guess what, yeah it is not rated to run @ that frequency, that is why LG buys it cheaper and why it sells it clocked @600 MHz.
Bye.
Hey
I just noticed that crapple released it's new iphone 5 yesterday. That phone has the exynos 5 chip?! The s3 has the exynos 4...
Why does samsung give a better chip to its rival? What is the difference of the 4 and 5 chip?
Confused...

So the A15 dual core architecture with mali T-604 gpu doesent have anything with samsung to do? Does the A6 chipset include T-604?

yes it is exynos but the reason why they are so secretive is that A6 is actually a dualcore exynos but with a quadcore gpu
the GPU is slightly more powerfull

see my post, iphone 5 uses soc build by samsung on the arm cortex-a15 instruction set
the a6 cpu is exactly a exynos 5 with a lower clock speed
samsung have built most of the cpu chipsets for iphone

I am getting sick of all this speculation when they dont even know for sure...I have came from a site which says Iphone 5 has the New A15 Arm Processor. You want to know how they worked it out? Well because at the event they said it will be 2X faster.. THATS IT. That is how they guessed it. They even admitted and said its just a guess!!! THen I read comments from people and they even said they could of just clocked it at a higher speed which then in theory is 2X faster.. No one knows for sure yet Apple is secretive. I beleive if apple has the fastest chip in a phone I dont know why they will be so secretive. I would advertise it but who knows. So no know one knows if apple has exynos 5 stop playing chinese wispers
Look how bull**** this is see the wikipedia which to me is probably bull**** now have a look at this site

so whos correct?? loool no one knows what it is yet

sir, im sick of people like you who get there knickers in a twist when there are certain people in the industry that know these things
if that information provided on wiki was false then apple and samsung would immediately have it removed and the content ommited due to on going legal implications.
it is known by the industry that the Ax cpus are built by samsung, apple have intentionally avoided mentioning its a dualcore cpu as people dont like that sound and are marketing it as a quadcore gpu (the a5x was also quad gpu)
this isnt chinese whispers. sort out your attitude and come back with some valid and correct information.
What we do not know is performance, the new generation dual core could out perform the quadcore in many ways due to the new instruction set. the gpu is certainly improved but we have no realtime tests or bench marks to go on.
dual/quad certainly doesnt mean better
Btw the dual core a15 is 40% faster ( at core) respect the a9 with very minor power consumption
So is like a quad core a9 in performance ( global)
at the end s3 and iphone5 are equivalent in power ( cpu, gpu is better the iphone one) and batteru life ( 1500mah vs 2100 mah considering the a15 lower power cons )

What a JOKER I know that samsung builds these chips. Your telling me if there is false information on the net Apple will take it down Immediatley ROFL. Bro you have had it thats all I can say.
Have you seen the Iphone 5 and played with it and diagnosed it? Why One site says 1Ghz Dual and another says 1.2Ghz Dual? Your telling me that this chip is both ? WHY hasnt apple shut down the sites?????? Im sick of people like you that think they know it all !!!!! If one site claims something then another site can copy the specs of that site and put it on you dont think thats possibe???
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6279/apples-iphone-5-uses-a6-soc-arm-cortex-a15s-inside
here is a site which claims it the A15 note what they say
Apple just announced the A6 SoC powering the new iPhone 5 features 2x faster CPU and GPU performance compared to the iPhone 4S. Apple reserves major Ax SoC number iterations for architecture changes, combine that with the performance claims as well as some other stuff we've heard offline and there's one conclusion: the iPhone 5 uses ARM Cortex A15 cores inside

Stop talking **** for crying out loud.
Propagating complete rubbish all over the internet.
A6 will have been developed in house at Apple and fabbed by Samsung on a 32nm process. No one knows for sure if its A9 or A15 cores inside.

hahahaha you make me laugh, shutting down a site is different to getting data from wikipedia ommited as wiki whilst sometimes incorrect gets corrected due to it providing logical and correct indexes of valid information
as for me personally, you dont know who i am and what i know.
apple do often get stuff taken down that they can have controll of, wikipedia is one of them
well see wont we. when the handset is released and someone takes it apart its only a matter of time, then i will come back here and laugh at you for being an idiot.
calm down, get a glass of water. if you dont want to read about this stuff then dont click on a link that is clearly talking about it.
or have you come here just to be an argumentative moron

thats no wholly true
if it is indeed an exynos 5 and i trust the sources, then it could be as powerful as a exynos4 quad on day to day tasks and single threaded tasks
apple are not stupid, if they came out and said openly that its dual core then people would not look at the bigger picture and s3 users who do not know the inner workings of the instruction sets would be like "HAHAHAHAHAHA I5 ONLY DUAL CORE" when infact it doesnt mean much.
remember when an e8400 dual core could kick the ass of a q6800 extreme?
similar thing could well happen here, no one has seen how a exynos4quad benches against a exynos5 dual
Hey guys, ive been searching the forum for well over an hour now and I havent heared a real answer to what is a stable speed to clock the Samsung Galaxy Xcover to. Its originaly on 800Mhz but I read that it could be clocked to 1.2Ghz and that the xcover is really underclocked.
(Found that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23984191)
I did a little more research and looked at other peoples opinions saying that the reason its underclocked is cuz the water and dust resistence left no ventelation and would make it overheat.
But now I just want to ask, what would be the best stable speed to clock the cpu at without damaging the phone?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
Although the specifications for the Marvell MG chip clock it at 1.0-1.2GHz, Samsung was shipped with chips that were certified only at 800MHz clock.
Even if you did get by chance a chip that may work in higher clocks, the kernel does not support any clock above 800MHz. A change must be done to both the cpu core clock and the voltages in the power management IC. It can only be done with the original source codes of the kernel.
My main question is ,why the android devices are not being sold rooted already?
why are they unrooted?
will a rooted device with 4 or 6 cores,running a PERFORMANCE governor,run faster than a iphone's dualcore A7 or A8 ?

android phones and Iphones are not usually sold rooted or jailbroken, because you have full access to the system and can brick your phone in 2 seconds if you don't know what you are doing(this is 2/3 of consumers) I phones are junk IMHO bc they restrict what you can do. also, It is not solely the cores you have, it is also the frequency that they run at that determines how fast the cpu is.
Buy a Zopo, the last Models (KitKat) come with root.
The governor only "say" in witch way the CPUs will clock fast er and slower. The max Performance is given by kind oft CPU (Tegra, Snapdragon, MTK) and the frequency.
And don't forget that this bitten Apples send all processes in background when a finger is touching on the display and the UI will get all CPU.
yea.keep going...
just tell me ,why should i buy an android if i wanna just to make my work with my mobile?
i just want to make calls, use facebook, use viber (all together ) and not lagging'
if i make all cores work together at android, will i achive a better performance than iphones?
(i dont care how apples works.they are just fast)

Running all cores at full blast will kill your battery and cause overheating and shutdowns. With your Android, all cores do work together, when needed. And when not needed, some cores will be at idle and active cores won't be running at full speed.

my question is still the same.
if i enable ALL the cores running together, not necesserally at full speed, will i be faster than an iphone?
would you buy a car that has been modified by others? so as the phone

My answer is the same. DON'T DO THIS.
Because root is useful only for users who know how to do with it?
