Hey there I'm new to rooting and xda in general & I'm hoping Someone can answer what is probably a newb question So I apologize in advance. I'm currently rooted, unlocked, & running Jellybeans build 6. My question is this...I'm aware when picking the options during set up of the rom, you're asked to pick a launcher (I picked Nova ) but I noticed that go launcher isn't one of the choices, So what I want to know is, am I able to still run & use go launcher after the fact? or will it not work since it was not one of the choices? my apologies if it's a dumb question or I started a thread I shouldn't of, like I said I'm new here & I apologize in advance. Greatly appreciate any help.

Hi folks,
I am interested in starting freelance android application development. I have a year of experience in developing android applications and background services. It was only recently that i decided, I needed to make some money using this skill, but unfortunately I'm from India and hence i cant publish paid apps to the market. Also, you guys are the best source of ideas for apps. So start demanding your ideas here and i could get down to realizing the best ones. I don't plan to charge for the applications, but donations would be welcome. Of course, that would come into the picture only once i have the apps ready for you.
Looking forward to your demands.
Regards,
manrock

Sorry I'll keep that in mind
There's an entire huge thread full of app ideas. It's not been active lately that I know of, but I'm sure some of the ideas are still good.
If you don't get much response here, see if you can find the thread. If I can find it I'll post it here for you.
For more recognition, I'd change the title of your thread to show that you're looking for app requests. More people with an idea for an app will open this thread with a better suited title.

It's a silly idea... Why don't create a manual/guide for android phones?? I explain: an app with subcategories and sections for model of phone With XDA guides (how to root, change bootanimation, etc) periodically updated.
Just an idea

I was digging around in the note 2 forums and found this nifty little secondary launcher. Been playing around with it and it works pretty well. Its almost replaced my main home launcher(apex) except for the fact that I can't add access to the apps list, or at least haven't figured out how to, to it. Has anybody else played around with it or found any other cool apps that are compatible?

I want to record a few custom notification alerts for apps such as tapatalk and the like. Simple things like "Tapatalk has some updates" so I can stop wondering which alert I just heard and try to remember which app it is for. I have tried a couple ringtone apps but they don't seem to be working to do much if anything with things I record.
Has anyone done this on the note 2 and can they recommend not only a working app for it but also a quick 1,2,3 of the steps they follow?

Questions looking for an app can not be posted in the app forum? That seems rather odd to me.

They are a section to post actual themes and apps not to be clustered with questions. Questions go in the questions section.
