Group contact images - HTC One X+

Hey, hope someone can help with this... I have assigned a couple of images to 'groups' in contacts. But when I send a text to the group I still get the default HTC group icon image.
Pics attached are groups with 2 images

Then text message thread sent to group 'Dudes'
I remember with my old HTC DHD when flashing Rom's the contact images would sometimes vanish, the fix was something to do with permissions, that you could fix by entering some lines in a terminal emulator. Although I can't find the fix now. Any ideas anyone!

Anyone? I'm a bit OCD when it comes to things like this... I'm not sure I can cope! Can anyone recommend a good counsellor instead?

Open With Menu? Is it still there..

I'm awaiting delivery on my S3, and wondered if anyone can tell me if the "Open With" menu is still intact?
On the HTC One X and variants, HTC was forced to remove it due to Apple, and I'm wondering if Samsung already had removed it or if it's still intact.
If it is gone, does the fix for the HTC work on Samsung S3?
For reference the fix for HTC is essentially
Code:
On your rooted HTC smartphone pull the system/build.prop file with adb.
STEP 1–> Find the line ro.da1.enable=true
STEP 2–> Change it to ro.da1.enable=false
STEP 3–> Directly under it add the line ro.da1.method=false
STEP 4–> Reboot
Samsung still has it it didn't affect so far everything good

Btw I'm rooted and that's a theme but it works the same in stock

HTC: We fixed calendar description links opening up the dialer...

...by making the description plain text.***
Now there are no links period.
The good things:
The description can pinch/tap to zoom (I don't know if it could do that before)
The text can be selected/copied/cut/pasted (I don't know if it could do that before)
Neither of those things really properly fixes the complaint that people had.
***If the couple of mods I have done to the new OTA is the reason my calendar stuff is like it is, I apologize.
works perfect for me
you better apologize to htc lol

Could you post a screenshot of a event with a link in it? Not the address, by the way, that always worked for me.

Can I Change The Emojis On Snapchat? (v9.14.x)

Hi Everyone!
With this new update from Snapchat where we can add more emojis as stickers,
I wondered if it's possible to change them with the iOS ones.
If any of you know, please let me know how can I do it...

Thanks in advance, Joe.
I wonder too.
I tried to find some file, but I'm a noob and couldn't.
If someone has a little time, I would appreciate that.
The thing with these emojis is that they don't inherit the emojis used on the phone (which would help a lot in this case). This essentially means that the emojis are in the app itself, which would require a lot of work to decompile, edit and then compile hoping for the best.
Alternatively, creating an xposed module could also work.
Just my info, good luck
No luck? Hate those emojis

Is there a text/sms app with this feature?

I am looking for a texting/sms app which will show the contact image as a transparent backdrop/wallpaper for conversations with that contact. I have inadvertently texted messages to incorrect recipients and I think such background image will correct such mistakes.
I looked at few, but could not find this capability.
If such feature does not exist, which applications are likely to take this as a worthwhile suggestion?
Thanks
Google Hangouts
Try Google Hangouts. It shows contact image to the left side of each message.

Thanks .. I am using samsung's messaging app and it also does the same .. What I want is transparent image overlay on the conversation of the contact's image.
Handcent is what you want .. on google play
Thanks dk0dave! I would have liked if I could add transparency to the picture ..
I am also looking at yaata which has similar features. One of those should work out for me.

No emojis showing up at all.

Hello, so I had an issue with my phone (OnePlus 6) where it'd be stuck on fastboot loop so I decided to flash the entire rom through fastboot with this :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-6-t3796665
It all went perfectly fine, but when I started my phone and after using it for a while I realized it had no emojis. Okay, let me rephrase, there are emojis from Gboard etc but very few of them, if I type in "emoji" in google it's supposed to show many websites with the use of emojis except for me all I see is a whole festival of boxes with a cross on them.
I'm going to be showing you on attached pictures what it looks like from my oneplus 6 and how it looks like from my other huawei phone, first a pic from the huawei device then from my oneplus device.

I have no idea how to fix it and I've seen no one else with the same exact issue as me, if you have an idea on how it could be fixed then please help me .

Check if /system/fonts/NotoColorEmoji.ttf exists and is readable
