I had the same problem with another process before. My issue was I didn't have the Motocast software installed. I assumed the default drivers loaded with windows would be fine, but they didn't work.
For the people who don't already know this, before you run the process, you can verify your device is seen by running the command 'adb devices' without the quotes from the command prompt (provided you point your command prompt to the folder you have adb in or set the system environment variable). Before I installed motocast on my computer it wouldn't show a device. After I installed the moto drivers it showed a device with this command.
Oh BTW thanks to the awesome devs for making these batch processes for all of us. These easy roots have been great.

i did as you said and still nothing ! i know it can be done because i've done it before i just dont remember how
optimusprimeuy,
You need USB debbuging & Unknown Sources checked
and just follow Moon Shadow's tut.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315711
I'm running into these same issues. I've tried three different rooting method. DoomLord, Petes and the one-click. Nothing seems to working. I've installed the ADB drivers, rebooted, repaired the drivers. debugging and unknown sources is checked. I've tried on my desktop and laptop computer. Nothing seems to work.
This is a DX2
System version = 1.3.418.MB870
Adroid Version = 2.3.5 (is this the issue?)
Let me know if anyone can help, thanks in advance!

No idea what's gone wrong here. Any help would be appreciated. I work in IT, and know linux pretty well, but I've never attempted to modify my phone before and would love to know what to try next that won't risk breaking anything.
Steps attempted so far:
* Clearing Smart Actions data and updates
* Ensuring phone is connected as camera (it is)
* Latest USB drivers installed
* Debugging mode enabled
Not sure if it matters, but I JUST updated this phone to 4.1.2 yesterday. Could they have patched this exploit?

You're right Thats an XT912(CDMA version).
As for your problem,I'd re-install the drivers, thats what cause problem most of the times. Also try changing the port you're using.

Thanks... still no luck

I tried re-installing windows drivers, no joy. Booted into Ubuntu and tried the shell script... same errors. Tried a different computer (Ubuntu) and it hung on 'Waiting for device' (I dont think the phone was mounting properly, but that laptop is a pile so I'd rather not spend too much time with it).
I'll be trying again on my fiancee's mac... but if it still fails I'm out of ideas.
[EDIT]: It did fail, same place...

[Q] I can't reroot after the OTA Security update

I got the January 7th OTA update. I lost root. I do have Voodoo OTA root keeper, and it said root restored but it didn't check the box. I also have SuperUser but I keep getting the # sign in the status bar to update su bin. When I try to update it gives me an error message. I tried to use a few root dependent apps to test if root was truly gone, and, indeed, it was.
I gave up and decided I should just try to reroot. So I ran Razrblade Utility that I used to root jellybean in the first place, and not even that works. I have safestrap if that means anything. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. However after clearing the cache I was able to regain root.
1.Power the device off.
Note Press the Power button then select Power off.
Note If the device doesn't respond to input, press and hold the Volume Up / Down then press and holdPower button. When the device screen goes blank release the Power button while continuing to holdVolume Up / Down, proceed with step 3.
2.Press and hold the Volume Up / Down then press the Power button.
3.When presented with the Boot Mode Selection Menu release all buttons.
4.Press Volume Down to select Recovery then press Volume Up.
5.From the Droid triage screen, simultaneously press Volume Up / Down.
6.Select Clear the Cache Partition then press the Power button.
7.Select reboot system now then press the Power button.
I also disabled all smart actions before starting the razr blade batch file. Don't know that it made any difference. Good luck.

Razr Blade Rooting Error -- Please Help

I have a Droid Razr I've had a long time that I'd like to root. This is a regular Droid Razr (XT912), not M, HD, or Maxx. It's currently running Jellybean (4.1.2).
In researching how to root it, I came across Razr Blade as part of the Droid Razr Utility here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192467. I've tried to run through this a number of times but keep running into the same error.
Things I've already tried:
- Clearing Smart Actions cache
- Clearing all Smart Actions data
- Running the utility on both Mac and PC
- Updating phone drivers
- Making sure USB Debugging is enabled and that the phone is set to MTP mode.
The log is below. The issue always shows up during Phase Three. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, thanks for responding. I do have unknown sources checked off (allowed). I tried to download the updated utility and run it but had the same exact error. I have no idea what's happening or why it won't work.

I'm looking for a ROM to replace stock which supports USB OTG and allows disabling of the HDMI port. Wife passed her phone on to my son when we upgraded hers but its always detecting HDMI even if there is nothing plugged in. The disable detection setting in the stock JB rom only disabled for a short time.
Thanks
There be will be a video by therazrguy in YouTube for rooting all jellybean RAZRs.. That's an easy method...
You've to disable MotoDockService. Also i guess you're having the screen Force Portrait issue. If it's so, there's a root app to force orientation..
A friend of mine bought a refurbished RAZR and it has this issue

Kingo Android Root
Hi!
You can try to download this app :
http://www.mediafire.com/download/n...1.3.6_Cekas+FIX+Sharebertron.blogspot.com.apk
AFAIK it's mod-ed version of RootMaster, the mod makes it easier to understand the Chinese words.
You'll receive notification from Google prior to installing saying that this app is unsafe since it's trying to break the android secure, but I think it's all fine, rooted my 4.1.2 JB XT910, when I was in ICS, TheRAZRGuy's method worked for me but ever since I flashed JB it wont work anymore. This worked well for me, no problems so far.
Hope this helped!
