Need CredentialManagerService.apk from never unlocked Xperia P - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Can someone with a Xperia P that has NEVER unlocked the bootloader please zip and upload or send me the CredentialManagerService.apk from their /system/app folder on a working phone.

Is the firmware you on deodexed or odexed? (Was there a CredentialManagerService.odex file in there as well or no?) If there was an .odex file can you post that too please.

ICS on the XPS is great imo, and there's many ROMs that you can now flash even with a locked bootloader. Very useful script for any new users. :good:

[Q] How to root Xperia P (6.2.A.0.400) (Locked Bootloader)

I have a Xperia P (LT22i) with 6.2.A.0.400 Jelly Bean firmware running with a locked bootloader. I have no CWM Recovery installed too.
Can anyone help me root it? I'm kind of a newbie so, a simple tutorial would be helpful. Cheers!

I have no idea, it may or may not, the developer says 6.2.A.1.100.
What region are you from, do you have special regional beeds, language etc?
There is a middle-east ROM or central-europe you can download and flash.

if you wanted a bodged fix you could go in to device manager on your computer and uninstall it as a xperia u (and delete driver when it pops up or it will just keep reinstalling as xperia u) and download sola drivers and point it towards that folder and it will install it as a sola.

It's relatively harder to package as a system image (but the conversion could be reasonably automated with ~1 day of work) -- compare "get files > create permissions metadata, etc > compress" to "get files>create and mount ext4 sparseimage>chmod and chown>sync>package in a format that appears to be incompatible with resized partitions"
The real reason is because sony signs all its files so if you try to pack a modified system into an ftf the phone will not accept it

Nope. We can't. If we could there would have never been a need for rooting or installing recovery on any device.
First problem would be packing the files in .SIN and the next , signing them
