[Q] would the new official jelly bean update brick my rooted tablet? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just found out samsung is pushing the jelly bean update in the U.S. however, im kinda worried that i brick my device if i update to jelly bean. Do you guys think it could potentially brick my device? Or im just paranoid? and if it bricks my device what would be wise to do in order to install this new update?
I have the GT-N8013 (wifi- version) stock ICS 4.04 rom with the unofficial CWM recovery.
Thank you

Your in the wrong section to find out, if you flashed anything here, it would definitely brick your device :silly:. This is the first gen Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P75xx series). Search for your section to find out what to do.:good::highfive:

[Q] samsung S3 GT-I9300 - jelly bean & ROM

Hello All,
this is my first thread in the forum and i also new with android
I've just got my new Samsung S3 device (GT-I9300) and i rooted it successfully using one of yours wonderful guides.
my current android OS is ICS 4.04 and i would like to update it to jelly bean.
I've heard that the most "clean" ROM belongs to Google and called "Vanilla" - is it right?
if so, where i can find jelly bean with that ROM? i've found jelly bean with "vanilla root box" ROM and i guess
that is not the same as Google.
Thank you so much for your help.
Assaf.

Hi ! Ok first you have to update your phone to 4.3 android that is tge last official built from sammy or you will face efs problem (no network) then root and install cwm (U suggest you philz 's one ) and download and install back to noot rom
Warning : there is no official 4.4 for s3 but arter port touchwiz 4.4.4 for our device with back to noot, that is a heavily debloated rom (lot of sammy app have been deleted for stabilty)
And now there's no 5.0 for s3 let's hope note 2 get it so dev can port it
Cheers !

@yogeshbatra: upgrading firmware to 4.3 as @HawKeyes_XDA said.
Then I recommend a Samsung-based 4.3-ROM, if you like Touchwiz-features or run RAM-intensive games, or otherwise AOKP-5.0. Imho 4.4-ports don't offer obvious advantage (but bugs) and waiting on 5.0-ports is pretty dreaming, because even slim AOKP-ROMs are struggling with 1GB RAM.

[Q] Jelly Bean 4.2 for Mega I9205

Hi guys,
I purchased a Galaxy Mega (model I9205) last year and I have installed an update for Android KitKat. It worked for a while but lately it started bugging and "acting up". I was wondering if any of you guys know where can I find the "original" Android OS that came with it? I believe its 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Maybe a link where I can download it or some other reference would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Tom
If you already upgraded to KK then you cannot go back to JB - 4.4 comes with new bootloader which prevent to downgrade to stock 4.2. If you really want - you can 'downgrade' to 4.2 MegaFire ROM from @megalomanic14 or stay on 4.4 but install 4.4 MegaKat from the same dev. Both ROMs are stock-like but are graetly improved. Link to thread you can finf in my sig.
Hello friends, I also looking for the firmware for the Samsung galaxy mega i527 at&t but I want the firmware android 4.2. If somebody may support me with a link thanks.
