A lot of at&t atrixs users are reciving an email from motorola for a soak test.
Maybe this is a good news for all of us. OR a big scam...we will see.

I think we have to wait for 3 to 5 days and see if motofail roll uot and update.

I can confirm I received an email from "[email protected] via surveymonkey.com" about participating in the test. If it is a scam they now have my IMEI and probably marked me for death by an elite zombie alien task force. So I am hoping it is for real
It's most likely just a GB update. I wouldn't get hopes up for ICS or JB. I'm interested to see what it will do (if anything) for the bootloaders.

Yeah it doesnt hurt.. BUT. After 9 months of ICS update promises, only to get slapped in the face. With a public statement of only releasing maintenance updates.. I don't know how much there is to hope for. Because if they release ICS or JB to the Atrix, they'll have to do it for the Photon and Electrify as well.

Huzzah! Where'd that come from?
EDIT: Oops, nevermind! HTC it seems. So odd, they release the source code to their kernel, but continue to develop new methods to lock their devices. Strange bunch of cookies over there at HTC.

What is so odd about that? The GPL has required that they release the source code, it's been a long time coming. That honestly has nothing to do with them continuing to lock their devices, which actually is a liability concern for them.

I would say it helped and even if it didnt....thanks for doing it!!!! I am so tired of them releasing things for other phones and leaving the slide out. They released the kernel source for several phones yesterday and left the slide out. I actually planned on trying to e-mail them today but they pulled a fast one and released the source late last night or early this morning.
Woooooo ! That is all.

delays are possible
Moto, delays? You are more than 6 months behind stupid
They are only saying that it's possible. If the servers get hacked, there's a delay. If the power goes out and some data gets lost, there's a delay. Right now it seems they are ready to release, but it is possible that something out of their control may happen.

How do you know that was a Motorola Employee?
Furthermore, that was specifically in response to a question about ICS in India. That may or may not be accurate for the rest of the world.
First off he's asking about ICS India which doesn't have the same ETA as USA/Canada. Second, I don't go on the motorola forums ever but how exactly do you know that the "servbotx" user works at moto? I see no indication they're a moderator or administrator of the forum so how can you verify what he/she is saying? Could just be an troll/random guesswork

First off - I am from EMEA so I don't care about USA/Canada from this point of view.
Second, I am visiting moto's forum quite long and although moto's forums are technically bad and don't have visible user status, I know that servbotx IS a forum staff...
I just posted what I found on the official forum and we all will see if it was or wasn't true (and to be honest is I believe what he says much more than some bullshits about the ics on this forum...) - in a nutshell - you don't have to believe it if you don't want to... ;-)
I would not be so optimistic, anyway let's hope there will not be anymore delays

If you have significant amount of code being lost(more than 2 hours of work) because of power outages you are doing software development very wrong.
NOW verizon made a comment in one of the replies, they won't unlock due to software clitches on the phone. Do you think MAYBE? after the update they MIGHT? let unlock again.Just a little food for thought??
I hope your right, maybe that's the reason for a newer hboot with this update

Was a joke... Calm down. I couldn't find a mention about it anywhere, and as far as I'm concerned CM hasn't even released 10.2 yet. At least not a halfway stable release.
No such thing as 4.3, that's the joke.
What's the deal with folks asking for updates all the time, even for roms that really have no bugs people want an update. Maybe the developers should slowly fix problems so we can get daily updates and people will think developers are "working" on things.

I'm fine with joking but I really don't appreciate when I'm called, intentionally or not, a liar. I think what I do here deserves at least that much respect, don't call me a liar. The disrespect here is a main reason I had originally planned to not release anything here.
