I am currently rooted with 2.3.5 locked bootloaders using Slim Photon rom. I am wondering if I can flash Peeter's rom on my MoPho Sprint as his post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587770) does not talk about its compatibility with Sprint models.
If anyone using this ROM can help me guide.
Yes. Flash the locked version and the correct system version modules otherwise you'll most likely lose WiFi or radio capabilities.
Edit: I'm sorry, just flash the 254_12ril.so file

Great. Shall try & flash it today. Was little worried since it failed to boot up the last time when i tried this
I believe peetr's ROM does not support 4G wireless. Just make sure.

That's what I'm using. Breaks the 4G. But overall a much better layout and experience than stock IMO.
Working well on Sprint Photon 4G
I can't say anything about 4G since we don't have it in India. But 3G & all other services are just fine. and with ICS theme, this ROM fares much better then Slim Photon.
Thanks a lot guys

Hey guys just switched to Verizon from att. On my inspire I could run any radio I want on any ROM. I've done some searching and research on this but still don't have a definitive answer. What do I need to watch out for when flashing a radio? Can an incompatible radio to the ROM your running cause damage or just signal problems? And is it like the evo3d do u flash radios and 4g radios separate or are they one package? I'm a pretty experienced flasher i've rooted and rom'd quite a few phones but this leaves me a little confused. Thanks for the help.

Flash a Froyo radio for a Froyo ROM and vice versa for Gingerbread.
If you flash it incorrectly, you won't have service.
Welcome aboard.

ok thanks, it seems I made things more complicated than the needed to be lol. now is the 4g radio included when you flash a radio or is it kinda like the evo3d and you can mix and match, I realise the bolt is lte and evo is wimax but it it the same concept?

I have a rooted photon, and am wanting to go the unlock route, but cant be without my 4G. According to reading on here, unlocking breaks 4G, unless you take the "long road". Is there any other way to do this, I have not been able to find the method that superseded the "long road". Any help will be great appreciated.
Section 8
I don't know about 4G, but if you want it unlocked, give it to any brother standing on the corner in the hood named "Bones" or "Smokey!" (They will also unlock car, house and any other security measures in place!!
Not possible. Unlock= No 4G as of now.

The "Long road" you mean is most likely from a while ago with Alien Rom where you could unlock, flash the Rom, create a backup of the rom, relock then use Bootstrap to flash your backup you made of the Rom. And then you would have a locked bootloader (4g working) AND be on a custom Rom, however you couldn't use a custom kernel so no overclock or kernel tweaks. Most of the newer Roms won't work to do that with, as far as im aware. There are locked Roms like Rocko and a few other that allow you to use Bootstrap and maintain your 4g though, they just won't provide the full experience that a full Rom with custom kernels do.
Is anyone aware of a dev activley working on fixing the Wimax keys?

From what I have seen and read following the ICS threads for multiple variations is that until Motorola releases ICS keys... we are all SOL on the 4g. Once they do (which most people project will be by June) the devs will work it in as soon as possible. I do miss 4g a bit.. but ICS after the unlock is worth it to me over 4g.
IMO it is worth it to lose 4g. Im unlocked on cm9 ics and it is the best rom so far. a few bugs but thats something i can live with
I was running CM9 for a bit, but after a series of unfortunate events, i was forced to flash back to stock. I had all intents to unlock again, but the speed of 4g is just so nice! that is, if you are in a 4g area. i haven't gone back to unlocking the BL for about a month.
I live in an area without 4g so it was easy for me to decide to unlock. I'm running cm9 and couldn't be happier. I can't wait till 4g gets fixed tho. Rumor is wimax is getting switched to LTE and we will be able to use the Verizon 4g service.

The photon won't be able to use LTE, it is only designed for WiMax - so if you don't have 4g now, you won't until you buy one of the LTE phones coming out for Sprint.

Even with the proper LTE drivers were found in the photon? I thought joker stated he found them while looking for the 4g fix.

Shabby, Joker, DeedScreen and a few others clarified this back in November. Its a dead horse. This phone does NOT have a LTE Radio. No software or drivers will change that!!
If you go to the FTC website, they have pictures of open Photon with arrorws pointing to the interworking?

Guess I got my answer. Just a "pretend I got an email from Moto" post?
I've flashed a T-mobile modem and using with the HSPA+ for awhile, however the Saurom ROM I'm using has some bugs like I can't reboot my phone properly and I sometimes lost signals, so my question is: if I want to flash my Note back to stock android, am I gonna lose the capability of using the HSPA+ which I'm using right now? Is there any ROM you would recommend that would be stable for the Note and still have the T-mobile modem enabled? Please give me an answer because I've been confused with this for awhile. God bless you all...
Question
Anybody? Please?
I'm using Saurom 7.1 and ICS theme on,Blaze modem and its been running great. It isn't as fast speedwise compared to my Amaze 4g but stable and fast.

You will probably have to reflash the tmo modem. But it might still be there as others have had non-stock modems that were still there even after flashing a stock tar file.

Best way to be sure would be to flash the stock radio. Though, it would be nice to know if using Odin will put EVERYTHING back to stock.
I'll bet the answer exists on the forum already but it's a good question, regardless.

Oops. Read the question wrong. So far as i know, once you flash a radio, it's there forever. Unless you flash a new one. Depending on how someone makes their ROM, this could change, but I'm betting that most of the devs aren't worried about forcibly making the people flashing their **** switch modems.

thanks for sharing. I've heard some infos about flashing back to stock could affect the radio, but I feel relieved when I saw this.
Dont worry about the modem in GB just flash it and it'll work
all ive heard is that the "ICS leak" doesnt play well with TMO modem
but idk to be honest
Is there a rom that webtop and 4g works on?
Thanks.
Stock?
Look at lokfishmars' posts. I believe he has a locked rom with a working webtop.
An unlocked Photon means no 4G period. Not gonna happen
Locked phones do have 4G and very little rom selection.

Mof is your only option. But Mofs rom is kindof one step below the definition of a 'custom' rom due to the use of stock kernels. Its more of a modified stock rom. But for what youre asking for, its worth it.
hi all, I'm from TURKEY, I have droid dna verizon, stock rom using.
1. hotspot not working.
2. I want to update but update only the active mode CDMA.
What should I do.
I'm pretty sure the built in hotspot only works on Verizon.
And since your not in Verizon, the easiest way to update is probably going to be to root your phone then flash a updated rom.
