Hi guys. I have the Green screen camera bug, and I cannot find a solution, getting desperate now.
I'm running Android 4.1.2, stock German DBT rom, baseband I9300XXELL4, and problem occured after I uninstalled ExynosAbuse.apk, and disabled exploit before that.
The solution here doesn't seem to work. I mean, at least I think I did it right - I just moved lib to lib folder with rootexplorer and restarted device. But didn't know where the META-INF folder is located, so I didn't put it anywhere. No effect.
Anyway same thing happened to me as it did to user "Xelasarg"
Still doesn't work.
But I found out another funny thing: if I switch to "Low light" mode (hope that's what it's called in English, I'm on German locale), everything's fine. Switching back to default mode results in green screen again.

You mean the attached file - cam_fix_for_sotmax_roms.zip? Yes, I did, that's what I'm saying - unfortunately it didn't work for me.

When I used it I just flashed it and all was fine
The green screen has to do with the exploit. Why don't you just try flashing the later firmwares on odin. LLA or LLC should do the trick. They fix the exynos bug so you shouldn't need exynosabuse

LL4 which I have has the exynos bug fixed, I'm on 4.1.2. But I still messed up my camera.
Cwm recovery/install zip/select from internal or external sd card/browse to file/select/confirm ........job done

Thanks! That worked! I guess just manually replacing files wasn't enough! Besides, I needed instructions like yours, since I haven't done much tinkering with my androids, but needed to learn. Thanks again!

There doesn't seem to be one for N7100. Have you tried flashing the latest firmware?
Or even, try asking in the N7100 forum. There is a sticky in Q&A so try that thread. A lot of friendly helpful people.

Signature verification failed for camera-fix-for.....zip please help
I'm on Xiaomi Mi A1 and I got this issue when calling the camera from any app like WhatsApp and indeed the trick with the flash works for me. If the flash fires, the photo is fine. If the flash is either disabled or on auto but does not fire, the green frame is shown. So I always keep the flash on and if I don't need the extra light I simply block it with my finger

You want me to download a 350 MB file to extract a 1 MB apk for you?
The apk that I posted is from KL1 India release, but it is deodexed. That should be the only difference from yours.

Just boot into CWN - wipe cache and dalvik - install from sd - select your rom - reboot
and what is so urgent here? going for a photoshoot session?

Why do people just do all the work for people ? He was given the answers and could of done it on his own... Now if it happens again he'll be back on here asking someone else to do his work!! If it was difficult or writing code fair enough... But not being able to sort that is just being lazy - no offence op... Just true!!! Learn from your mistakes ??? Nah y bother
Wouldnt it just be easier to back up all files on kies then restore phone to factory settings

totally agree, and just look at how the guy that DID give him the file didnt even get a thanks... nice...
Well im not fussed about the thanks but he should solve his camera problem and he will be able to restore all his information on his phone once connected bck up to kies. And most ppl have a google account for contacts so he would get them bck once sign bck into google acciubt through his phone... Jd job done

Exactly .... They just expect someone to do it for them... Makes me laugh when people download a custom Rom, expect there to be 0 bugs... And when there is, they demand a fix.. Without donating - the cheek of it lol

link is fine if spaces are removed
but the image doesn't help much...except for the fact that you aren't having network signal
or you rather wanted to say the black screen is the problem?
provide more info about the rom you are flashing and the rom you are coming from

yes , I wanted to say that it only shows status bar and nothing else . It doesn't matter if I update it from 2.3.3 gingerbeard or 4.0.3 ics it always shows same
Last time I updated from 4.0.3 xxlpq to 4.0.4 I9100XWLPM_I9100OXELP8_SER .
You apparently opened two threads to solve the same problem. This is not good enough and it's against forum rules.
So which thread do you want to stick with? Your efs one or this one? So that I'll know which one to report

I bought two Samsung Galaxy Ace S5831i from China. The phone was good but I wanted to get rid of all the chinese stuff from it and used Odin and firmware from Sammobile. But instead, I installed the MDB file for the S5830i. (Not intentionally though). The phone seemed okay at first and I didnt notice my mistake until I try to use it. Many error messages and apps fail. The big problem is the Camera. It doesn't work...errorhandlesmesssage -1...Well, then I googled for a custom ROM and couldnt find one. So I used firmware for Galaxy Y and installed that. (Intentionally though I thought the two phones are kinda close ) Now, the phone doesn't start or enter into download mode either. I heard I may be able to enter download mode by USB Jig but then what? I cant find any ROM for the 5831i. And what to do with the second phone? It has the S5830i installed on it. Please please help!!!!

Did you go to download mode using Power+Volume Up+Volume down? Don't install Galaxy Y Roms on the Ace otherwise your phone will get bricked! When you say the Galaxy Ace S5831i is that a typo are do you mean 1i? If so there hardware is probably the same a 0i so you can most probably install 0i Roms on this '1i'.

I dont think it is fake. I tried connecting it with Keis and I could download the ROM. But it kept on giving me error messages. Anyone has any idea which phone may be close enough to this one?

There's no s5831i, check again.
If it's a clone, in the box should be a brand name and try to download the firmware from their stores -I don't know about phones, but tablets can be unbricked so easily-.
If you can confirm is s5830i, just try odin and download a rom for your country -google have them, if you can't find the link let me know i'll re look for the page where most of the country roms are available-.

Hmmm if you flashed both of them I have bad news for you... If not, you might want to try dumping the working one and make an odin flashable package...
Another good option is to install antutu benchmark on the working phone and see the technical specs like processor, gpu, etc..

Hey ! As the title says it too , it's possible to make odin flashable file from firmware downloaded from the phone ? or at least it's possible to backup all the firmware and making a flashable zip for the TWRP ? Best whishes , waiting for positive answers :lol:

Heloo ! please help me. i have a stock ROM from Orange flashed with ODIN i think. if i try to flash any zip file it says signature verification failed. i tried ODIN latest 3.07 i think and this one does not accept zip files. How or where can i find md5 files ? or tar files with your firmware ? is there a converter ? or something ?

There you gonna root the phone and flash a custom recovery.
Then you'll have to place my Rom on sd card and then follow my instructions given in my Rom thread ?
Ps: Custom roms like mine doesn't and never will flash via Odin , with Odin you only restore your phone back to stock unrooted state.

Any ideeas why in a moment of a day someone call's me and it tell's me later that my phone was off (but was not) and after that I reboot it and receive all missing calls and sms? Network work's fine, I do not receive any notifications that signal is dead

I need your help. Can i set a live wallpaper on the lockscreen, or is only picture possible? i have tried install from your site this mod: JellySNAP_Transp_LS.zip, but nothing changes.
