Ok guys I did CPU stress tests on no both CyanogenMod and xxellc 4.1.2..(both stock)
In cm 10.1
I ran the test ran for almost 10 mins with no throttling @1.4ghz
Throttling started at the 11 min mark when CPU temps hit 80c and battery temps were about 52c...I was throttled to 800mhz
In xxellc 4.1.2
First 2 mins...no throttle
Throttling started at the 3rd min mark when CPU temp was 65-70c and battery temp 42c
The CPU throttled to 800mhz
I don't know whether the GPU is throttled or not
So this explains why I have been having an much better gaming experience on CyanogenMod..
What do u guys think about this?..why is the stock ROM throttling so aggressively..if GPU is throttled gaming may be affected severely..

is there any solution for the throttling problem on samsung based roms?
i donĀ“t have throttling problems with CM10.1, but with OMEGA 40 the cpu throttles when the battery reach 41C.
Not that I know of....I cant believe more people here have noticed this issue.....nexus 4 forums contains so many throttling threads....
Would love to have a custom rom dev to fix this issue.
Since cm10.1 allows temps above 41c....I wouldnt believe it would cause any problem for the battery.....that would be like saying aosp devs dont know safe temp limits lol

Well, where would it belong? All the other radios are in development section. Seems this is a placeholder for flashable modem, probably the fastest out of all. Flashable meaning altering System files. It belongs.

Just ran into a couple of issues going to fix them up before release. So might take an extra day. Over at 989 you can see the results, people are easily having their DW speeds increase by 5 mbps.
**Note dont flash that radio, it will cause your phone to freeze up non stop.

Hello fellow users, I've been here on XDA for a couple years now and I am wondering what the difference is between the original ROM development section and the android development section in our main forum the Galaxy S III. Can anyone explain that?
And a question about CM, because it seems to be very popular. I used it too on my Galaxy S I, but on my 3 I just can't find the reason to do it. Can anyone explain why so many people have it or why you got it? The main reason why I don't use it is the camera, on CM it is not the same quality, way worse. Panorama for instance, here on Samsung based roms I make xxx by 1600 pixels and on CM I made xxx by 800 pixels or so.
Phone: Galaxy S III (GT-I9300)
ROM: Darkyrom III V8.2
Kernel: Siyah 1.8.6 special perfomance edition
MODEM: XXELL4
CPU UV 75 mV @1,6 GHz
GPU mhz 108 - 266 - 350 - 533 - 600
GPU (v): 0,85- 0,9 - 0,95 1,0 - 1,05

I created a new account something went wrong.
That is not the point, I still want to know about CM and not about people trying to flame or be a smartass..
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Well ... CM development is suffering from lack of codes sources from Samsung , that's the reason why some stuffs you mentioned are not well implemented yet ...
Original development is for original additions ... can you call skoda octavia original ? If yes , what about bmw ?

I must have something that attracts those thousands of people. On my sgs 1 I did or for the gestures, why do people do it nowadays? Only for 4.2.1? Because I read the known problems and faqs and some of them are quite alarming..

Cm builds are smoother , I like to believe, and many people doesn't use all features inside of their phone , I personally don't get nuts if my pictures are not perfect taken by phone but I want a fluid Internet browsing, fast loading Web applications (medical mostly) and social apps .
I'm not crazy either to connect it with a monitor ...
Anyway, it's obvious that the human nature is to get every minute something new so they must try it ...

Hi all,
My phone freezes when I play intensive games like Modern Combat 3, Contract killer or Blood and Glory Legeng. Everh timr this happens i can see that mmcqd and kswapd0 are keeping the CPU up. It takes around 5 minutes to retur to normal or sometimes a reboot.
I'm on stock XLLA with Siyah kernel, but this also happened with perseus and full stock.
I dont't havr power saving enabled and already did factory resets. Also no external sd card.
Anyone has an idea if there is a fix for this? I've read other topics about people having similar issue, but no resolution
Thanks.

Run better battery states (available on xda and play store) to try lock down the cause... but it may be due to 4.2.1 being a leak firmware, its not 100% finished yet. Try searching reviews on it too see if anyone has the same issue
Also like Glebun said we do have a Q&A forum and this question has been asked before so try searching

Is google god? I didn't find it on google, maybe you have a better google.
It is worth mentioning that this useless thread is now the top result when Googling "boostpulse."
Dead thread but since it's the top result on google right now here's the answer for all of you that you come here.
boostpulse: Immediately boost speed of all CPUs to hispeed_freq for
min_sample_time, after which speeds are allowed to drop below
hispeed_freq according to load as usual.
