[Q] SwiftKey Flow Lock Screen - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I am enjoying the use of SwiftKey Flow but have a question regarding the lock screen. Instead of the normal number keypad, I get a larger keypad that includes parentheses, commas and other keys that I do not need. Am I missing a simple setting to change the keyboard back to a standard numerical keyboard when I want to enter a PIN? Thanks.

I believe this was by Swiftkey design, I myself do not like it either, the numbers are too small, up on their website where you vote for changes, one of the ones in there is to remove the lock screen portion. A lot of people don't like it.

Yes, I discovered this today. Very annoying on the HTC ONE. I think they are using some sort of calculator key layout since it does not just have numbers, but adds operations and parens. I voted for two items on the Swiftkey site related to this issue. I think I will have to turn off Swiftkey until they fix this.

Physical Keyboard and swiftkey text prediction, an awesome combination

You know, using swiftkey as the default input and slide out the keyboard, the annoying useless blue box got replaced with a white text prediction board. It works the same as the virtual one but of course since we are using physical keyboard, our speed will increase and augmented by the text prediction of swift key, the speed will increase even further.
And by the way, swiftkey prediction can predict your next words very accurately and for me, it is the best text prediction ever. Search the market for swiftkey and try it yourself.
+1 for Swiftkey!
the best text prediction for me too!
*one thing i noticed tho when using the physical keyboard,
there's no way to input other symbols...i've to close the keyboard and use the onscreen keyboard to input symbols and/or smileys...
Yeah, that's the one problem. IF we want to add symbol, we would have to revert back to default input. Shame, no one has develop an apps that completely designed for mini pro (AKA, symbol buttons work)

This is the most annoying thing about the phone.. It doesn't even have a % symbol. So frustrating!

[Q] Is there any way to change the default keyboard for the lock screen?

My company requires me to protect my tablet with a password that includes both letters and numbers if I want to get my corporate email on it. The keyboard that the lock screen uses is the default android keyboard, even if I have a different keyboard (Swiftkey, in my case) selected as my primary input method.
This makes entering an alphanumeric password a pain, since I have to press the "?123" key to bring up the numeric keypad every time I need to enter a number.
Is there a way (without rooting, preferably) to use a different keyboard for the lock screen ... it doesn't have to be swiftkey, necessarily, I just need something that has either has a 5th row with numbers, or that allows the top (qwerty) row to bring up numbers with a long-press.
Any help would be much appreciated!

[Q] Stock Android Keyboard - Switch to numpad

Hello,
i googled for quite some time now, but I couldn't find ANY answer. So I guess this is not possible but I thought I can ask here. Maybe someone knows something.
Is it possible, while typing with the stock android keyboard (Jelly Bean) to switch to the Numpad? I've uploaded two pictures to make things clear.
In the first pic you see the normal android keyboard. In the second one you see the numpad, but which only occurs if the text field only allows numerical input. What I want is to switch from the normal keyboard to the numerical one.
Example:
I am writing a note (in my fav. note app) or a sms. In this note/sms I type some longer Numbers (wlan-key, phone number, birthday... you name it). This is when I want to switch to the numpad, because I cannot describe how much I hate to input numbers when they are not in a 3x3 grid (like a numpad).
In the stock Android Keyboard, when I press the number button (bottom left) the numbers appear in a ROW on the top. I honestly don't get how people can type numbers with this.... It would drive me crazy. I could talk hours about how much i hate it. But I want to keep this kind of short
Swype has this feature: either hold the numbers key next to the swype button. Or swype from the swype-key to the t and the numpad appears. Really nice!
I was just wondering if something like this is possible for the Android keyboard.
greetings
PS: I tried a lot of different keyboards and only swype had both: swype input and numpad. Why? I think a numpad for numerical input is the best way to go. I really don't get why you want it any other way.
I dont know about the stock key board but swiftkey keyboard can also put the numbers in a 3x3 grid...although partially . I am attaching a screen shot
Hope this helped

Thank you for your reply. I forgot about SwiftKey. Last time I've tried it, something bothered me, but I cannot remember what it was. Maybe I give it another try.
But still I am curious about the stock keyboard. Because I refuse to believe they did not implement this feature, since I think it is quite essential. And when it comes to choosing a keyboard, it's a deal breaker for me.

Replace PIN entry keypad

I user Insertcoin, and Swype as the default keyboard. A small niggle is that the swype keypad is also displayed for unlocking using a PIN. Entering the PIN on the Swype kaypad is a bit painful, since it is quite small.
Is there a way to make it display a different/larger keypad for PIN entry?
there are no options for changing the keyboard input settings on the lockscreen on ANY room.
That feature is yet to be implemented, either by the developers of the rom or nuance communications.
Googling your issue did not help you, did it?
Unfortunately it seems to be an issue with Swiftkey taking over the lockscreen keyboard, but using a calculator layout, instead of a keypad layout. Just needs a bug fix from swiftkey, and there's a bunch of people asking for it. Until then, the only way out seems to be to revert to the HTC keyboard - I was just wondering if any of the wizards here had figured out an alternate solution.
@FreakeSport, I always do my searching before asking for help here. So if I had found something, I wouldn't have posted a question. But thanks for replying - appreciate it.

Every android keyboard that you install and setup in the global input setting menu(input/language mostly) is active and you just need to use the keyboard switch on the top left of your status bar or if you have a nav bar where virtual keys appear you can set the keyboard switch button there.
That's it.
