Hey guys I'm running the nightlies on CM 10.1 which puts me on Android 4.2 .. just a quick question, is there no way to Overclock this rom at this point or do I need to flash a special kernel? Sorry if this has already been answered -- I searched the forum but I couldn't find the answer and I can't post in Android Development sections yet.
Thanks!

Have you gone to the Build number in settings>about to enable Development under settings? If not, you won't see the Performance under settings to OC.
Just did this but it won't let you over clock it, just allows you to change the maximum speed up to the standard 1008mhz

Flash a kernel that allows you to overclock.
This is weird, i am on the same cm10.1 android 4.2.2 and i have the option to overclock to 1400 MHz with the original 3.1.10 kernel... I dont know whats wrong with yout device.

isn't wifi error on non stock kernels a developement issue?
BTW i had the same wifi error aswell as i thought sod it i'll try it.
thinking its a driver not loading correctly from the limited knowledge i have?
The Ketut's OC Kernel would make wifi stop working on stock ROM, because the OC kernel is ONLY FOR CYANOGENMOD 7.
Clear? Disable SetCPU and Flash CF-Root to get wifi back.
And this should be in general section actually >_>

AFAIK*, It's not possible in stock ROM.
AFAIK = As Far As I Know.

i know its for cm7 only but this wifi error issue just keeps on getting ignored and also the point of customisation is to mix and match roms and kernels to suit personal taste!
i like stock roms aswell as custom roms but to overclock we have no choice but to flash cm7 roms.
also i have never found an explanation to what causes the error in the first place!
somone answer please

Simple: It's just not compatible with the Samsung ROM. The modules are a bit different. And If I'm not mistaken, the Samsung's Kernel doesn't support OC.

90% prob related thread are related to development so if all comes here you cant find any development things lol
All question related thread related to app or themes or developmen should be in general to keep things clean
Peace
lol. ur thread title make u looks like ur posting new kernel, while its just a question. no need to create new thread just for asking question and cluttering this dev subforum.
btw its possible to create oc kernel for stock rom, its just merely editing a file in the sourcecode.

Thought it's not possible? lol
Is the Ketut's CF-Root source available? I may take a look..
thank you
thanx for all who answered, and good point nims11, if it is pos then i will just wait until stock oc kernel pops up on here,
i will now shut up and put up! (LOL)
i had a gut feeling it would be either drivers or modules so thanks for answering

Me too..I thought there was a new kernel for SGA..Especially,the DEVS ONLY part in title got my attention,A small note to OP,this is not something only devs can figure out.
I can't make an OC kernel *cries*
Herpderp DXKPB.
Is there any OC kernel Available for stock roms
CF-ROOT b83
Herpderp Adreno + Tegra.

Nobody is perfect
Is there some kernel for stock rom without oc, same speed and tweaks like oc b83 kernel but without bugs? Some stable kernel for everyday use with improvements?

Is this kernel stable?
Can someone tell me how to overclock Samsung S advance?
SetCPU couldn't do it, neither android overclock...
Thanks!!!
For now, you cannot overclock SGSAdvance - O/C requires custom kernel, which hasn't been compiled yet. You can change your CPU's speed, but it won't let you set higher parameters than stock. So, wait for devs to compile an O/C kernel
a group of 4 is trying to get CM9 or 10 to work on our phone... meanwhile they're also trying to get OC on it... i'm just waiting... the rom they released is good enough to get me to wait patiently
Impatient
Any news on this guys? I'd really appreciate overclocking ability for SGS Advance.
Thank you in ADVANCE.
ROM Question
What ROM did they release?

well how about now...? as far as I know the first custom kernel for S Advance is the CoCore (current version 3.6)..
Will overclock be available once SGSA gets the official JB update?

Hi all,
someone could tell me what are the standards voltages of CM10.1?
Really?? This is not hard to find mate. Most stock based custom kernels use them voltages. Also why didn't you ask on cm thread. I'm sure if you look on it you will find it there without having to ask

Thanks guy!
In the Apollo thread really is a very detailed comparison on ARM voltages.

CM10.1 (4.2.2) runs on the 3.1.10 kernel. This kernel is still in development and is still officially (since we haven't been told otherwise) an Alpha Stage kernel. This has been repeated several times. Is oc necessary to get a ROM to work using this kernel? No. Will it enable HDMI, flash timing, Bluetooth, webtop/lapdock, or any other standard feature? No. Is oc a post development add on? Yes. Is the development team focusing on oc at all? No.
