Hey, I have been using the klipsch s4a for almost a year and they sound like an angel but the button sucks. I think this is because of the remote application which Klipsch tells you to get. It's lousy. I am limited to these for a selction: iBeats, powerbeats, or klipsch s4a ii. Which one has the best button responsiveness? Oh also when I use sense roms(viper4g 2.0.2) the button control is utteerly useless. But in AOSP roms(jellybam 4.0.0) its better but not the best.

Sorry for got to put just with the main button, still looking for an app to let all work

Sorry to say but I don't think a pair exists that let's you use all 3 buttons on Android. I have the S4's and Beat Tours and none work. That's why I still carry around my iPod Touch 4G. It really sucks too because the controls on the headphones work perfectly for Apple products. What really is more amazing is the Beats haven't made a pair for Android seeing as How HTC and them had a partnership a couple years ago and their phones still push the Beats software.
If you guys want all the buttons to work use this

Used it when I had my studios

Is this better or worse than mentioned above?

I like this one better than the other because you can control the volume with just a press and hold

Im confused, why wouldn't any headphone work?
I used my Kicker buds on them and they sound amazing.
If you buy kicker, buy from sonicelectronix.com and you get
free kicker ear buds most of the time. I love kicker wire.
I dont do anything else kicker.
Only some features work with My iBeats and Solo HD
Works:
play and pause
Voice commands
Make Previous Call
Doesn't Work
Volume Up and Down
Skip tracks

Just switched from an iPhone to S II and the volume is quite poor comparing the both of them. How can I fix it to boost it by a decent amount? I don't need it to work for the speaker, just earphones.
Running NDT's latest MIUI release if it matters.

Isn't that just a MIUI problem?
I don't know, it was never this bad on my old HD2 or Desire Z running MIUI ROM's. Surely there's a way it can be boosted?

Thanks for that but that seems to only change the phones volume around as if you had no hardware buttons. I'm looking to pass the preset volume.

Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for. Do you know what a suitable level is? I tried 93 but it's just muffled in my earphones lol.

Also the response time, I notice the music keeps dipping and then raising again. I have that on the default 500ms.

I have a pair of Bowers and Wilikins Headphones (P5 & C5) and can not use the built in mic, is there a mod or app for this ?
Unfortunately some headphones are only made to be used for iPhones. I had a tough time finding a good pair for my note I ended up getting the beats and a pair of Bose. I think you may be able to buy a attachment that you plug the headphones into and then into your phone.

So I recently purchased a pair of Samsung earphones with the two volume controls and a third button and was wanting to control my music with it. Unfortunately I couldn't get them to work and was wondering if anyone here knew a workaround.

I wanna say that the functionality would need to be built into the kernel in order to register the button presses and have them trigger some action, but don't quote me on that...at the very least you would need to have an app running in the background for it to work since it doesn't sound like android supports it natively. Is there a list of compatible devices on the packaging?

I plug my phone into my car stereo as well. I've been using PlayerPro for about 3.5 years now (originally on my Evo 4G) and I've had trouble finding a music player that can beat it. In terms of settings and customization it's pretty friggin' great. It has a a companion 'DSP Pack' app that gives you a full 10 channel equalizer with an adjustable pre-amp setting to play with.
Even though the app is entirely built around 2.x Gingerbread, there are quite a few themes that update the look to keep things current. i HIGHLY recommend checking out the free trial app. I rarely spend money on apps anymore, but this one was well worth the couple dollars.
The only thing is that i actually Don't have music on my ☎. I mostly listen to pandora or songza. This is where i need The eq

I use 'Equalizer' https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartandroidapps.equalizer with Spotify and Play Music. This EQ app works with those 2 via the settings menu for 'Audio Effects' or 'EQ', but I can't speak for Pandora or Songza.
