Check the first rule of XDA.
Also, this is the section for the i9300, not i9305. Hit "report" on your post and ask for it to be moved

The search button doesn't give me anything. I've reported that a lot of times.

1. He is asking for an app that is not on his phone, the international forum is the logical place to go to ask for it in the first instance.
I love how you get your post count up, I never see you post except to say "Wrong forum noob"
@OP I am running UltimaROM, and I don't have SamsungChineseIME.apk, however I don't have the Samsung Keyboard installed which could be why. Or it might not be on the I9300.

Actually, the logical place would be to post in the i747 section, that's what it's for.
Do you think I shouldn't tell them they're posting in the wrong forum? Do you not care about the rules?
He has an i747 but is asking for files from the i9300 - I don't see the problem in asking in this forum....

So it's logical to say "hey guys I know our phone doesn't have this apk, but could someone upload it for me?" He is asking for something that isn't on the I747 therefore in that forum he would not get anything. The international model however could very well have what he is looking for.
I do care about the rules, but there is a big report button to report to the mods, I only see you trying to raise your post count with these "Post in Q&A" replies.

Right. I misunderstood him then. He should post in the QA then.

best i9305 modem in canada

hi everybody;
I have recently brought a i9305 and using it in Canada, however I find that my 4g signal is always low; (1 bar) and is always sittint at that (1 bar). Now is there any other modem thats better then the one that I use. currenly i try ZHALI2, and XXBLL3; they are pretty much the same
1. Asking for a best ROM is against the rules. Read them.
2. It's the 9300 section, not 9305
All I can suggest is try them, also have you tried other phones and do they get a better 4g signal? It could be the signal in your area that is the problem not the phone or modem.

This is the I9300 and I9305 forum, check the name, the only area that is different is the development forum because the roms aren't cross compatible, the general discussion is rolled into one. Check the path to this forum Home > Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 > Galaxy S III General.

You're right, I confused it with the Q&A section.
But still, you can't ask for a best ROMs on XDA

It all depends on a range of factors and only you can find the best, try them and find out, what I find the best might not be the best for you.

S3 doesn't keep settings after a restart

My s3 doesn't keep settings after a restart and basically has never been 100% at it. Eg. Ring tones will revert to default, default application settings get forgotten. Phone has been rooted before but actually isn't right now.
Running 4.1.2
I have done a factory data reset.
Any thoughts?

Really? The s3 q&a and troubleshooting forum is the wrong forum?
Since the phone has been rooted im hesitant to send it back. Its actually also had the screen replaced.
Still hopeful someone has better advice than tell me im posting in the wrong forum. This place used to be friendlier than this im sure.
Just saw the link for the lte specific forum. Will repost there.

Not if you have I9300 yes its wrong if you have I9305 really .
Btw, what forum would be a better place for me troubleshooting question?
The I9305 forum Q&A logically .
You had two bits of advice ignore them both or not .

Thanks for the advice. Already took one of them... other one; not sure how my warranty would hold up with being rooted and a screen replaced... sad face.
Considering a cyanogen or perhaps liquidsmooth rom that I've just seen a bit about.
My concern is that even a new rom doesn't wipe or refresh all the parts where things like default settings might be kept during a restart. So hoping some advice comes through in that regard perhaps.. but not in this forum.

I'll turn this around, Why do i9305 users post in this section for help and I have to constantly contact moderators to shift the to the i9305 area. Its the same with at&t users.

i guess people are dumb then, mods should start punishing them for posting in wrong thread, a few day ban should force them to learn how to read
