Just re-flash your ROM. The patch would have modified some system and framework files. Those will be restored if you re-flash the ROM.

I will lose some apps and system setings?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium

it is very possible that you will.
however, you can try to make a backup (application and data) for the applications you don't want to loose. then reflash. then reinstall the apps form backup. still, some settings will be lost.

Thanks guys, gonna do that

If you just re-flash the ROM and don't manually wipe anything, then you won't lose any apps and settings.

I use Titanium Backup. It's in the market and I've never bad any problems with it. You will need to be rooted in order for it to work.

As above....buy the pro version then you get batch restore
I using titanium backup pro..
my friend is using "ultimate backup tool" for non rooted device.. (i never try this)

ubt seem to work fine for me. was simple enough to set up and backup. kinda doesn't let you know when it finishes backing up and restoring but otherwise fine. have only tried it on while flashing the same stock rom I had. I'll probably have to try another after flashing li2

Try to reflash the rom with just wiping cache and dalvic and see if that works. Try that before you restore the data again, and if it works then your problem is restoring the messaging data
I come from simpliatic rom 3
And i didnt restore the messaging data
I just restored the contacts and call log

Ok, well if you restore any data it could cause problems. So try to reflash the rom without restoring data and see if everything is working, then restore what you need one by one and test them after to rule out the restoring of data
i suggest you flash another ROM to make everything more easy
i find "apk pushing" complicated lol
anyway, here is a detailed guide on how to get back with stock rom: http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-ap...ck-android-rom-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-50007880/
hope this helps!

[Q] galaxy can't finish backup

Hello, I have a galaxy s3 rooted with cwm 5.5 something and I'm using revolution Rom by Mike based on JB. I wanted to do backup so I'd be able to recover it at some point in the future, however it says that it can't backup system somehow, shall I update cwm through ODIN and then check?

Kernel and Roms questio

I want to know if I can flash a kernel but stay stock no custom ROMS? and when I flash a kernel or a Rom (when I decide to try Roms) will that lose all my info again like when I unlocked DNA? thinking about using flash image gui thanks in advance

Yes, you can flash a kernel but stay stock.
And when you change roms, yes, you will have to wipe data, but you can use an app like titanium backup to backup and restore your apps. And your personal files, like pictures, music, downloads, etc, won't be affected by the wipe.

Which kernel has rooting properties? I have tried to find one but am having no luck? Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the rooting process is held within the ROM installation for our phone, unlike other phones that have su binaries and busybox in the kernel
Titanium will only work if you're rooted.
There are some other backup apps including this one that will backup apps without root but unless your device is rooted you won't be able to save game data or app data

Once you install a kernel you can just download superuser and busybox from the market.
Even if you don't flash a kernel you can still flash superuser and busybox in recovery.
