Try this...go to system/app and delete TASK.apk or TaskSwitcher.apk and flash again...

I know that feel TK, but it's better to suggest sony to swap the UI looking.
That small app taskbar icon too iconic weather the actual small app UI was simpler (too simple for me).

Hi...just open up the TASK.apk and go to res/drawable-hdpi folder and find small_apps_bar.png...just edit it to your like...
