Hello I have the MiniCMSandwich AOSP Android 4.0.4 RC3 rom installed in my Xperia Mini (ST15i) which works beautifully.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434001
However I want to have the stock keyboard (not qwerty) that comes with ST15i. I Understand that there is a zip called "xperia keyboard" in the main thread that is for that purpose. However I flashed it and nothing happened... (no other keyboards in input section)
Anybody can guide me how to have the non-qwerty layout with t9 back? I cant work the mini qwerty keyboard with my fatty fingers!!! >.<
Thanks!
Hi there,
Let me get this straight. Yes, there are MANY types of AOSP ROMS, but here's the problem:
-Most ROMs are based on Sony's stock ROMs from Xperia Z or CM10
-Some ROMs are only on 4.1.1
-Developers added mods/tweaks to their AOSP ROM.
Would it be possible if a stock, clean and stable AOSP ROM be ported to Xperia Neo/Neo V? I'm using mikegapinski's AOSP 4.1, but it lacks some features and is sadly ASIS. I'm not really demanding for one, but it would be good if there are vanilla jelly bean ROMs. I might have missed some pure ROMs while searching, so if there are any do recommend them.
Thank you.

Not sure about that but it sure would be a good thing if we had Android 4.1/4.2 with full functionality, that means 720p recording too.I have been trying to find a good Jelly Bean (4.1 or 4.2) ROM for my Neo for quite a while now, real JB (no hybrids with ICS though they can be nice too) and had mixed results.Lupus JB kernel comes with 720p option and that works on some ROMs,so far Super Jelly Bean 4.0 and Xperia Z Jelly Bean (rather new ROM) have been the best for me,many other CM10 and CM10.1 based ROMs I tried were full of bugs.I am also putting high hopes in nAa and his 3.4 kernel, performance with it is great but it consumes a lot of battery and it doesnt seem to support 720p recording at the moment. As for pure AOSP ROMs for Xperia Neo and Neo V I dont think I encountered one, will let you know if I find it.
What I find disappointing with Jelly Bean ROMs is their generally poor customization options when it comes to appearance, most of them look like Cyanogenmod on which they are based on and while I really respect the work of Cyanogenmod team I find their ROMs visually quite disappointing. And the best launchers and system UIs that can be flashed are mostly for ICS only.
True. Also the near-AOSP ROMs are based on mikegapinski's ROM. Thanks for the suggestions
Hi everyone..!
I have tried several JB ROMs for my XMP, I'm always feeling the true taste of it. But a problem is about keyboard of JB. I want to use Stock ICS keyboard on JB so other keyboards give so many problems. So I would appreciate any DEV can port stock ICS XMP keyboard for JB ROMs? Specially JellyVanilla EX 5.1. Thank you for your support as I'm appreciate a great help from all of you!! :good:
Device : Xperia Mini Pro
ROM : Stock ICS .587
Bootloader unlocked & rooted
Kernel : [email protected]
Thanking you!
Go keyboard
Why don`t you use go keyboard Or any other customizable keyboard in the market.
Go keyboard works cool for me. :good:
so i have a Sony Xperia S (LT26i), and i used to have ICS 4.03, now i upgraded to JB 4.1.2
i don't really like the way JB looks, but i like that it moves faster and smoother. i also want to install Cybershot Camera mod, wich is for ICS mostly. i rooted my phone, i unlocked bootloader, i installed ClockWorkMod.
My question is, what ICS rom (stock or custom) would you recommend me, that has hotfixes and runs faster than ICS 4.03.
kinda runs fast like jellybean but is ICS) ? mainly for gaming and camera.
PS: i think i like this guys ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2125370
but he said he ported it for Xperia ARC. i want it for Xperia S (
Story of this rom:
we all know about cyanogenmod and its awsome speed compared to stock rom
but unfortunately cyanogenmod doesn't have the lovely sony interface and xperia-only features
so i decided to make a rom themed like xperia z/z1 with added goodies from xperia devices
Features of this rom:
-based on latest fxp cm9 available
-pre-rooted like cyanogenmod
-cyanogenmod performance setting
-themed framework
-xperia walkman with sound enhancements
-themed setting
-xperia z keyboard
-honami launcher
-xperia z calculator
-xperia movie and album
-honami wallpapers with wallpaper picker of xperia z1s
-4.3 jellybean easter egg

why not use cm10?
because cm10 is not running games well but this rom is
but i was thinking about a cm10 version too because some of the sony features are more updated in cm10
but we have many cm10 xperia themed roms in this section
and we have somc debrand engine too
Bugs: 1)wifi doesnt work
2) Camera app stoped working

Project butter does not work on our Play, as stated by CosmicDan.
CM9 is faster when it comes to gaming too (other than the annoying bug that makes touchpads lag, well-known into CM10)
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk 2
for me both of them is working
aren't you using lupus ics/gb with cm9 support ?
if yes thats the problem @krchi
jb is a little smoother in the rom itself
but lags will come in games and touchpad is not working well in jb too
i found a bug
touchpads are not working
i will upload the fix soon
Yes I used lupus I forget it cm9 which kernel can I used?
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
lupus cm9 is best kernel for this rom and im suing it too

i saw that my pervious fix is not working because i digged into framework a little so i need a little time to fix the touchpads/gamepada again
Its look nice, will try it later....

@pedyvirus I found that Google play service gives FC in this rom
I have tried two versions but both of them give fc
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Maybe its gapps problem ( im using one of the lightest gapps so maybe thats causing the problem)
Can you install full gapps and try this again?
Because im busy in reviewing xperia play for one of perisan sites now
i'm using the LuPuSv7 [STOCK ICS/GB & CM9] kernel and can't get wifi working too
by the way is a beautiful sony skinned rom
what fxp version are you using? the last is 2013-12-23...
im using latest fxp as my base
your problem is because of the kernel
install lupus cm9 kernel

sorry guys im in vacation so i cant come here too much
i tried, but that kernel doesn't have lupus menu and i don't now how to put my owns init.d scripts for kernel preferences...
Also, are the touchpads working?
if yes, is solved the circle button that acts as a back button?
cheers
well it doesn't have touchpad fix included sadly
i have problem in one of the parts maybe some one else can make touchpad fix for this rom
