[KERNEL] i9100P (NFC version) Siyah-Dorinmax with stock 9100P - Galaxy S II Android Development

Hi guys,
here is my boot.img extracted from my phone for 9100P NFC users.
It's a Siyah-Dorinmanx-V7.38 kernel with I9100PBULP3 radio.
It has the original stock boot screen logo,
now the most important thing, using
CM ROM

It will get you full support of NFC, no bugs finded yet, it works perfectly even has the original icons!
I tryed other custom roms claiming of having NFC support, but none of them had this level of support (no icons, bugs with turning NFC on/off etc.)
This is not my work! I only combined rom with kernel and NFC mod!
Thanks to the Dorinmanx and the CM team for doing such a great job and jthatch12 for his implementation of NFC in our devices.
I was very disappointed with the support of 9100P and was desperately changing roms to find something fully working, the best result I get is using this combination above.
Cheers for the great 9100P!

Samsung App Pack for cm9 / cm10

hey @all,
at first i got the sgs. After some month i root it and later i flashed cm7 and then cm9 and i loved it.
now i have the sgs3. and the stock rom is ****.
its laggy, i miss a lot of features and so on. so, at the moment i have a view on cm9 on sgs3.
and when i read some posts and known issues i thought about some things like:
- TVout doesn´t work an should never work.
so, the cm projekt is open source. but i can update the cm os with some original files from samsung to solve the prob (for me). right? or is is not so an easy way?
- radio doesn´t work
so i thougt i can copy the radio app in /system/apps (i write down the path out of my mind)
Some samsung apps has nice features (like the video player).
Can i use the app like copy it on the cm os?
the main question is, can i customize the cm os with original samsung apps and samsung configs, so that all thinks will work.
is there someone who has/will create some packages for that?
great thanks for replys
ravn
The answer is largely no.
Most Samsung apps rely on the Samsung framework which only exists in Samsung official roms, this is almost impossible to port into an AOSP based rom like CM9.
However there is a project underway to port important/useful features from stock roms to CM9, this includes a lot of TW features (but not smart alert )

You mean "AOSP" ROMS
There are plenty of touchwiz custom roms that come with s-planner, but you cannot get it on AOSP ROM's without significant modifications.
Almost all samsung apps (and Sony apps, HTC apps etc) are built with framework dependencies that we do not know of (so we cant easily port them). They do this so their apps are a unique selling point of their device, over the others.
did you find any solution.?
GT I9300
TEMASEK's unofficial CM11 (latest)
Boeffla kernel (latest)
(Testing different settings for boeffla config v2 app. If you can recommend some setting which you think works good for you then please do.)

[Q] VR video quality problem on Marshmallow based roms (CM, AOSP, MIUI) - dev needed

Hello guys, devs!
Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon), (kenzo)
Testing the roms: only a clean install, stock kernel, disable all unusefull display stuff (more contrast, rotation etc), and only install the vr player app.
So the problem is shortly: the VR video files quality is not sharp, blurred a bit when using hardware encoding . I'm using Var's VR player for this, but dosn't need it, just is the simpliest and the best at the moment. The good image quality what only in some rom looks like, when we disable the hardware encoding. Contact with the developers, so not an app problem.
On my device a lot of Marshmallow based roms hase encoding wrong this videos. Playing well, but if anyone used a good rom for this, all others crappy.
On the official MIUI roms only the Lollipop based roms working good (the developer MIUI 8 based roms not).
Tested a lot of roms release by release, in the Marshmallow based roms only one Krexus AOSP rom port playing well these.
In the Nougat based roms the situation is a bit better, but only 1 or 2 roms working well (only one CM14.1 port and two AOSP) for this, but it's a very young system, so when we know whats the problem on MM base the other devs will solve the problem (i think )
And I think not in this device the only one what is produces this problem, just the users don't know about this, because "working".
Here is the official thread with logcats and others in my google drive and the full storyline about the testing.
And reported on the official MIUI forum: link
In my drive you see the logcats, the krexus is the good, but renamed the files, so simpliest.
Some devs say the adreno blobs the problem. Tried to make an update (the zip in the drive), which is changing the adreno blobs to a correct (krexus), but when installed to a cm13 or other mm roms, the rom's stuck before the boot animation.
That's all, don't know what is the problem on the base.
Thanks for the help!

[question] Which ROM supports ANT+ ?

Hi. I am happy that my old Smultron is not dead yet.
Due to its small size, I would like to reactivate it as a bicycle computer / fitness tracker. The apps that I usually use require Lollipop as a minimum.
I seem to remember that I half-heartedly tried the same already about a year ago, but did not succeed with installing the ANT+ services from the Playstore.
Currently, I am at CM13.
Now I found that in the AOKP FAQ, it is stated:
Q: Why is ANT+ not working?
A: ANT+ developers do not support our wifi chip (wl1271) beyond JB 4.1. ANT+ will never work except if we write the needed source code changes from scratch.
That leads me to the qestion: Is this true for all ROMs, or just AOKP? Or more in general: Which ROMs supports ANT+?
Umm... noone knows this?
