I had the same problem. Your zip flashed okay for me but I don't have superuser permission. Any help is much appreciated.
I live in India & I got the 65.1.21.en.03 OTA (168.9 MB) this morning.
Mentioned changes included bug fixes, a newer baseband and kernel, and the Bejeweled 2 game... although it is still on Gingerbread 2.3.5.
Anyone know how and where I can extract the downloaded update from my phone? Device isn't rooted.
Downloading..
The path/filename is
/cache/Blur_Version.65.1.12.XT910.PSHAsiaRetail.en.03.zip
and it's crc is
# cat /cache/Blur_Version.65.1.12.XT910.PSHAsiaRetail.en.03.crc

we (at Indonesia) also got the update today.
Tried to update my rooted Razr but like bahathir mine is also failed.
Do we need to get un-rooted before we install this update?
Update work fine on my rooted phone. The update did break the root. Install OTA rootkeeper will help to restore the root.

Updates:
Problems:
1) Update failed.
2) Don't know which file(s) was/were changed, or failed crc check
Investigations and Findings:
0) Put the update file into external microSD. or rename it as update.zip
1) Boot to stock recovery mode.
Power off -> Power + Vol Up + Vol Down for 5 secs or until boot menus appear.
Select Recovery; Wait untul the trianagle with ! mark appear.
Vol Up + Vol Down until the selections appear
Select apply from sdcard and select the update file
In my case, the installation stopped because /system/build.prop has been changed. The changes were done by Motomizer app.
Solution:
Get the proper build.prop file and put it back to /system
Repeat the recovery again... You also can use $ adb reboot recovery from your PC/laptop.
Luckily, I only had one file conflicted by the upgrade.
Important Note:
The update is immune to to zergRush exploit, and you cannot gain ROOT anymore for time being!
Thank you.
So update breaks root and phone cannot be rooted? My update is still downloading

bahathir,
can you tell me how to get the original build.prop? My failure was definitely caused by the motomizer also.

Most of the time, official update will changes file's permission to default. This mean, the suid permission of the /system/xbin/su wil be removed. Check your build version to make sure the update is successful.

care to share the file(build.prop).
Does anyone get a /tmp/sideload/package.zip (status 7) error in the stock recovery?
I've tried everything I could've possibly done(restore, stock files etc) but I still get this error. I really dont care much about my root and losing it would make no difference to me. I use the camera extensively so this update is very important to me.
Please help guys!
Thanks!
EDIT:
This is the exact thing that I see every time I try to install the update
Finding update package......
Opening update package.....
Verifying update package......
Installing update......
assert failed: mount("ext3", "MTD", "system", "/system")
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted.
/edit Ignore this, it was me thinking Astro file browser should of been working, Root Explorer works fine.
Would there be any other cache location,
I don't appear to have it in /cache/Blur.... (I did the put the update off for an hour option) and searching for it's up to 30mins and still going which is making the phone a pretty good hand warmer.
Here is my SEAOP build.prop Enjoy.
You need root power to access /cache. You need to copy it out AFTER the downloading finished but BEFORE you start installing the updates.
From Connectbot terminal
Code:
$ su
# ls /cache
# cat /cache/Blur_....zip > /sdcard/Blur_....zip
1) Get the root power;
2) list /cache directory and look for update file, mine is Blur_Version.65.1.12.XT910.PSHAsiaRetail.en.03.zip
3) copy the file from the /cache to /sdcard. Then you can copy to microSD's SD-ext
Good luck.

Help. I dont know much about rooting. I just rooted my phone and superuser keeps coming up with an annoying notification saying that my su binary is outdated. Ive tried multiple times to do this and this is what it says:
Downloading manifest... okay!
Parsing manifest... okay!
Latest version = 3.1.1
Checking installed version = 2.3.1-ef
Then I touch update then it says:
Fixing database... okay!
Unpacking subtools...okay!
Checking current install path... /system/bin/su
Downloading new binary... okay!
Gaining root access... okay!
Remounting /system as rw...okay!
copying su to /system fail!
I touch Try again and it says the same thing. Please help.
NOTE:Admin, please remove.

How to update superuser binary
I ve found out by accident on how to update my su binary after endless on searching on the internet…
i use xperia x8 by the way
Use flashtool coz I use it
Turn on ur laptop, download and run flastool on pc.
Download and install root explorer on phone coz I use that
[root explorer is not free anymore, search the free one outside app store/android market]
Go to root explorer, system and click R/W to change to R/O
Download the latest superuser in app store, move and install in system app using root explorer
Find the old superuser in system app and delete
Turn on usb debugging and check on unknown source on ur phone
Use usb cabel to connect ur phone to the pc
Do not click connect phone, just let it be
Open flashtool up
Wait until flashtool write Root Access Allowed
Go to superuser on ur phone while it is still connecting to the pc
Turn on wifi or mobile network, that works better
Click on outdated su binary to update
Click on update
And just wait…done?
Ur welcome^^

Hi guys, i created my first own rom but while flashing it with TWRP 2.5 i get error "Error executing update binary in the zip"

First see you are properly rooted by using root checker.
Also it may be the problem of TWRP . Try flashing it through cwm.

In between of updater script try to print some texts at various places to identify the reason and then you can work to resolve the error. It will give you a hint of the problem Happy porting.

This is intended to create real performance. Not performance to create crazy benchmark numbers like done on the 3D forums before. For shiggles....I am getting 22k on AnTuTu Bench. This is a rough post as I just spent 4 hrs creating a biology study guide and I am quite tired.
*DISCLAIMER*
I AM NOT LIABLE FOR YOU JACKING THINGS UP
I have a ATT Moto X(XT1058). Rooted, unlocked, on 4.4.2....Still stock recovery. Though this should work on any Moto X.
Keep in mind this should be considered a beta as I tweak it for the Moto X and add things like I had done before.
Version 1.0
Initial Release for Moto X
Cleaned useless code from orginal that doesn't apply to our phone. Cpu 2 & 3 settings IE.
[Stock uses Interactive as the governor.
Changed settings used for the ramp up of the cpu under load
Changed settings to improve VM performance and battery life(supposedly)
Changed scheduler to noop and read ahead to 3072
Changed network settings to help optimize them
Optimized the EXT4 mounts.
Zip align files on boot - Checks them first
Installing this is quite simple...Just need to click a file in windows. That simple basicly.
Everything you need is there in one folder
No need to reboot into recovery.
Instructions
Download the zip file.
Extract the files to a folder.
Run the file Push.bat
Hit any key to keep going.
Let it reboot.
RESTORING
If you decide this is not for you...hey I got your 6.
Run the File named Restore.bat and it will replace the old postboot for you and reboot.
To Do:
Tweak Current settings and add new
Create a flashable zip
Add user customization
Sweet will test it out tommorw! Could we get some further details at exactly what if changes and tweaks? Or is that in the download
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Yeah I will today. Sorry wasn't exactly awake.
The batch file is for those who still have stock recovery but rooted and unlocked or write protection disabled.
If you get a read only error pushing the files to the phone then your kernel isn't insecure. If you get the error just close the command prompt screen.
If you have a stock kernel then you need a app like adbd insecure. Buy or aquire it, lol, and check the option in the settings. It will pop up a window saying patching. Then run the push.bat file.
Custom kernels shouldn't be a problem lol. If so then who made it is stupid.
When I make the flashable zip then you won't need a app and such.

2.7 works without issue for me -- the dev (I believe its dhacker) just didn't bother making a thread for it

If you go to system/etc/ and find the post boot it will be like 6 or 7kb in size as the original is 20.
That or use adb to pull it from a phone after you install it.

failed to move zipalign and int.qcom.post.boot.sh to folders.
I didn't change or screen said failed? Read only? Or did you use the flashable zip?
If it's read only error it'd saying. Your kernel isn't unsecure. There is a link to a app that can fix it. It's temporary unless you set it to start at boot.
It allows you to push and pull system files via adb.
Flashing isn't affected by this
