Most likely then, your battery or something related to indicator is faulty! Better check up with Sony or some authorized shops you know of!

Wanna try? Use your smartphone until your battery empty, after that you can charge your phone just like usual. Maybe that will work, my friend got same problem a few days ago.Sorry for my bad english, and good luck
Im having the same problem.
I get 100% charge no matter what. Around 3900mV according to Battery Calibration.
I used two ways to calibrate battery and both failed. I used the Battery Calibration program. Let it charge to 100%, then press "calibrate" and let it drain. Removed battery and replugged it to the wall AC with battery back on AND the phone powered on. I was still getting 100% but i let it 2hrs straight to charge.
Removed the charger and waited to see if the percentage would get reduced by consuption but nothing. So i charged it to full again, rebooted into CWN and selected "wipe battery stats".
Same thing, when i rebooted the battery was @ 100% and it would not get reduced.
The battery also lasts around 1.5hrs when playing Mp3, which is rather short.
I had no problems at all with the stock ROM - that was 2 days ago.
[FIX] 100 % battery Issue
This is natural as we are trying different ROMS and some files will get corrupt.
In CWM,
1.Clear battery status and dont reboot into ROM.
2.Choose power off option and switch off your phone.
3.Then manually switch on.
4.If it doesnt help go for battery calibration app from app store
5.If above all fails, Flash the original firmware(tft files that is found in XDA forums).
change your kernel

When they die, they die. $10 off ebay got me an oem replacement. Heavy gaming I get a half day to full, depends on game. Regular usage gets almost 2 days worth. With the new one I try not to make it a habit to charge it while over 20% battery and regularly let it die out on its own and use fera's technique to keep it conditioned. Had the same battery for a year now.
hey guys I really need help here :crying:
I will tell you guys from the veeerrryyyy begining
my phone is 2 years old (on my hand at least),and there is no problem untill about 3 days ago.
my ROM is GDX 029, have run it for months, no problem. but on that freaking day, when i charge my phone it takes 3 hours to make the LED light become green (battery level 90%++) when in normal condition only take about approx 1,5 hours. it seems very fishy, so i touched it, but it really is heated ( normally not ) and when i unplug the charger and left it to be cooled down for about 5 minutes the battery fell from 92% to 1%. I googled it and some people said that it was kernel, so I reflash the kernel and ROM, charged it once more and walla it heated again. no helping at all:crying::crying::crying:
i have flashed some other ROM and the original SE ROM but it doesnt help at all. can someone tell me how to fix it :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Battery RIP
Sent from my U20i using Tapatalk 2
well, changing kernels and roms ( without undervolting and overclocking because that makes the phone unstable sooner or later or even the battery dies faster ) and calibrating battery, if it doesn't work for you then it really is RIP battery :S.
My dad's Xperia U used to last around 4-5 days with a bit of Wi-Fi, 40% brightness and a call a day. Battery would go down to 15-20%.
Now as you unplug the charger it goes from 100% to 96% instantly. After using it for half a second the battery went down to 93%. Wi-Fi is off, brightness is set to 30% and Auto-Sync is OFF. What do I do? It's not rooted and it's running Stock Gingerbread 2.3.7
Quick replies will be appreciated.
Additional Info: The phone is under warranty and it was purchased about 2 months ago.

In my opinion its good to send it to repair center mate, it can be a battery problem.
same thing happened on my Samsung Galaxy Y, so i disregarded battery full indication, when battery showed full i restarted. left to charge and did it again if problem persisted. problem disappeared gradually.

Question
Hi to all
My xperia u does something quite weird. I can't get my battery to last more than one day. I tried different roms, kernels with governors and my battery seems to drain and the main consumer is my screen _ about 65 % while any other process doesn't pass over 15%. Has anybody conflicted with this problem?
How do I get it fixed? Do I need to buy another battery?
PS: I don't have warranty hence the unlocked bootloader

Decrease your brightness and turn of Mobile Bravia Engine if you don't need it. I have three Xperia U's in my house and two of them used to have the problem. Turned the brightness down to 30% and it resolved it. Also I charge it to 100% and kill it down to complete 0% by heavy usage. Try this. Works with laptops and phones.

Please help me with a problem!
Start :
2 weeks ago - on March 8 me NEO has lost Cell network 3G. when trying to manually find a network - phone got extremely hot, can not hold in hand, I shut down him and pulled the battery.
after 15 minutes phone get cold, I put the battery back, connected to the network 2G.
continued:
NEO very quickly start to drain the battery - for a night in standby from 100% dropped to 20-30%.
I calibrate the battery - did not help, Then flashed to ISC with full wipe - did not help
battery drain for a night - for about 40-45% of the "cell standby" and "phone idle"
I switched network mode 2G <-> 3G, no difference in draining battery.
until March 8 Battery was enough for 2-3 days, per night discharged less than 10%.
what can u recommend, what else can I do?
P.S. screen is not mine, but i have the same data.
sorry for my bad English.
try a good ICS kernel which could give best battery backup

May be battery. Even though my battery monitor app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.bmw&hl=en ) reports good health and shows that current consumption in stand by mode now is about 117 mA, while it was less than 22 mA earlier before the problem started (attached screenshots). It depends on how the app calculates the current consumption. If it is based on a amp-meter or a coloumb counter in the phone the increased power consumption is real, but if it's based on change in battery voltage it may be the battery.
Additionally it feels hotter in the upper area, above the camera lens.
I have the fix for your problem, do this first: turn it off over night and see if it still drains battery, if you notice battery drain even with the phone turned off I have your solution, let me know.
cheers

That is how it is, it drains battery even when it is turned off.
But when I remove the battery from the phone I see no leakage in the battery itself.

You're facing a hardware issue then. If you still have it in warranty I suggest you send it in, if not I can point you out what's the component that is possibly causing the drain so you can change it yourself, although it might be complicated to do..
Try to remember if you charged your phone on a different power outlet when those problems started appearing.
cheers

Yes I was charging my phone when being on a family visit, but I used the usual Sony charger.
I would appreciate if you could tell me which component that may be faulty.
Are you in possession of a circuit diagram and a PCB layout? If the actual component isn't too difficult situated, I think I could change it myself since HW is my profession.

It was probably that, it happened to me when I used a different power outlet.
I dont have the schematics but I suppose you can find it online.
The part that got burned up in my case was: "Mod PA WCDMA 880.915 MHz" which i believe is related to the antenna.
I dont know much more about the piece since it was repaired under warranty and that was all the info I received, but it fixed the problem, currently using the phone without issues.
Good luck with that project
I googled a lot before posting in here, tried many things but none worked.
This started happening around 2 months ago. I installed a battery calibration application from Play Store. After installing it, in place of making my battery better, it destroyed it.
Now my battery lasts about 6-7 hours with hardly using it (but wifi or 3g on all the time). When I depart at 7:30 to go to school, it is 100%, and at 13:00 my phone turns off.
I thought it was a problem of calibration, and i don't really know if that works. Tried many other apps. None worked.
Tried installing cwm and wiping battery stats at 100%. Didn't work.
Tried repairing with PC Companion or SUS. Nope
I bought a new battery 3 days ago, because thought that the problem was the battery and not the calibration anymore. Didn't work! My battery barely lasts 7 hours, when before it lasted a full day.
Tried factory reset. As you can guess Didn't work :crying:
Then I thought maybe the time has come to reinstall original rom once more. I did that yesterday. Installed from the beginning and rooted my phone, and formatted sdcard. Installed this systemUI too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762162 .
Thought that the problem would be resolved. But no. Today the battery dropped from 30% to 1% and turned off.
This is driving me crazy. What to do?
Have you ever heard of this problem? Anyone got the solution?

You can buy a new phone. (just kidding). Try this: Add this two lines (ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0) & (pm.sleep_mode=1) to the end of your build.prop. If you don't know how to edit the build.prop you can learn here.
You installed new rom when this start? If yes try stock or some where you dont see that problem anyway this is nothing to do with battery stats. Every time when you charge phone above 90% then android make wipe battery stats automaticaly and even this havent nothing to do with %.
