[Q] Stock ROM for Samsung Galaxy SII I9100G - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can somebody please point me to a source for a 'stock ROM' for my SGS II GT-I1900G (Chinese version), for Region: Europe and Country: United Kingdom, and based on ICS.
I have been round and round this for 3 weeks now trying to find the right ROM so that my phone will work as if it was a UK phone. Mostly I find myself directed to parts of this web-site which I am them prevented from accessing because I am judged to be technically not competent (which is probably true, but not helpful).

[Q] SGS2 hardware & software

Hi, getting a SGS2, have a few simple q's. Appreciate any feeback:
1. Looking at SGS2 I9100 labeled 'Made by Samsung' (no date, apparently made for EU) vs. another one labeled 'Korean product' (dated 7/2011, made for South America). Anyone aware of any hardware differences of such models?
2. Can I flash any firmware on I9100 regardless of what is installed originally?
3. How to know which languages a firmware supports (I understand CSC settings are not about languages)?
4. Does anyone have feedback of what currently is the most stable and efficient firmware version (stock or non-stock)?
Many thanks!

1. Samsung has factories world wide. Therefore, it is hard to determine that. Only guys in Samsung can tell you that exactly.
2. Yes
3. Try it out? As far as I know, all are stock and default. Means what have in phone A should be in phone B.
4. Total self preference.

[Q] Stock ROM forSGS III of Bouygues Telecom France

Need Stock ROM forSGS III of Bouygues Telecom France
Few months ago I bought an SGS III GT-i9300 with CSC of CHU running stock ICS 4.0.4 ROM (bouygues telecom). The phone was originally bought in France, and later on when I came back to my home country ie Pakistan, I got it unlocked so it could work on local carriers. The long of the short of the story is, last sunday I decided to update my SGS III to the leaked polish JB ROM I9300XXDLIB_I9300OXFDLI1_I9300XXDLIB_XEO. This resulted in loss of connectivity with my GSM network. Sadly, I made the cardinal mistake of not backing up the original ROM, in case I needed to go back. So now I am kind of stuck with a phone which at best is just like a small tablet ....
Can anyone please help me locate Stock ICS 4.0.4 ROM for the above CSC region? As so far I haven't been able to do that despite hours and hours of trying.
Also, can I install Stock ICS ROM for CSC PAK/WDC on it? If so, how can it be unlocked & made to work with it?
I hope that someone can help me in resolving this issue. Thank you.

Thanks alot JJE. Didn't knew about this checkfus tool, but it sure is one very handy util. I will let you know of the progress asap.
Regards.
Okay, I used CheckFus to locate the ROM, downloaded it, wiped/reset S3 before going ahead and installing the ROM. But unfortunately it didn't help. By the way CheckFus in Product Code field says 'Not Active'.
I was wondering whether I should get unlock code, will it help solve the issue?
In continuation of my previous post, here is an image from Galaxy S3 Sim Unlock.

That "Not Active" against the product code is probably the cause. Any help will be hugely appreciated. regards

Why didn't you buy the international note? It supports Chinese language interface.
I didn't think too much and thought it was a quick flash. Didn't do my research
Please tell me it's possible
The rom nearest to Taiwan would be the Singapore rom. Its ICS not JB. Its what I used last year. I'm betting it would have your language pac. Its listed as N7005 Novena rom by Nunhugger.

What model of i717 go you have? I have an international version N7000. Perhaps a trade.

bump for help ...
bbumpppp
you asked if you can flash a chinese rom on your i717. i717 is for the Northern American market, and so one will not expect to find an official rom that has built-in chinese support. and since it's different from the international GN (n7000) in terms of hardwares, n7000 roms from south-east asia won't install. some have suggested the i717 is very similar to the korean version of GN and those roms can swap with i717's, but you need to google it yourself. Your best bet is to look up chinese forums and get support from enthusiasts in that region, but we know that didn't go well. so there we go.
at the end of the day, I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

CSC & Its Importance

I just recently flashed my phone with a Samsung Official release of Jelly Beam 4.1.2 for Samsung Galaxy Beam GT-I8530.
My Journey to this point
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535462
After a successful installation the first thing that stood out was that my phone was in German. The steps that I followed did not state that the firmware was released in Poland; but this is what further research revealed to me.
Now I find myself asking:
How important is CSC?
How will CSC affect me, who I live in the United States?
[my google accounts associated to the United States]
I changed the default CSC setting, which was Germany, to one related to UK but not associated to any carrier. The reason was to hopefully change the phone English. Once that was done I went on to the language & input settings and changed my language to English United States.
My phone is now in English. I have been able to download and use my apps. The one thing that didn't got as expected was my contacts. To my understanding, android syncs/backs up my contacts to my gmail account. Well, none of my contacts were sync/restore to my phone. [GRR]
All the official Jelly Beam released I've found for Samsum Galaxy Beam GT-I8530 are the same. One is a test built and the other Official. Both released in Europa. Installing Jelly Beam included 3 files, .pit, CSC & CODE [PDA] I wonder if there is CSC file for this side of the world.
With that said, these released are called official yet none of them are found nor hosted on the Samsung website. ... I don't get it.
Thanks
anybody?
Does anybody care to help?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tablets

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (SM-T800). I currently have CyanogenMod 12 installed, but i want to go back to my stock firmware.
when i search my device on the SamMobile firmware site, it gives a bunch of firmwares for different countries, but it does not give one for the United States, where i am living
Does it matter which firmware i use? Will i still receive OTA updates if i choose a random firmware?

Does it matter which firmware i use? - it does, don't flash wrong firmware, or you will soft-brick your tablet
if you still have orginal box or receipt, it should says something like this;
PDA: T800XXU1ANH1
CSC: T800UVS1ANG2
MODEM: T800XXU1ANH1
Notice the H1, G2, H1 at ends....which defines which country code region tablet belongs to..
Just give you an idea, for example my Galaxy TabPro 8.4 WiFI has "T320UEU1ANG1", which I bought it here in USA (bestbuy), and if I check sammobile, it shows as Cellular south, so means that's my offical firmware for my tablet that come with it.
So in your case, I believe yours is T800XXU1ANK1
