If this process was defined already please let me know from where do I can accomplish this? Apparently the conversion accepts the stock Google system update to 4.2.1 that happened this morning. Otherwise I'll assume it's safe to proceeded as though I'm using the nexus 4 at this point.

I may not be right, but I believe it was posted in the thread somewhere that if you do the conversion, you're rooted already and do not need to do anything.

Hey guys,
I came across this thread in reference to Framaroot, a one click root method via apk that had the Nexus 4 listed as compatible. I downloaded it onto a Sprint LG OG at Best Buy and it did indeed work. I ended up freegeeing and installing a custom ROM and recovery on it. Let's see if anyone working at Best Buy notices If anyone wants to test it on the E970, here is the thread link to the page.

Wait, you blew over the stock rom on a display phone at Best Buy? Man if I were an employee i'd be pretty pissed off for having to deal with that!

Worked for me using the Gandalf method. LGNPST, Root, FreeGee, all with one quick reboot.
Did not work for me using both
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda premium
I tried both and I'm on the JB OTA.

Well I guess I had LGNPSTd over to 11c so that may be why
worked like a charm with gandalf exploit android 4.0.4
Once again I'm making a thread to help out us wind and mobi users get to the questions that need to be answered....this thread comes from the days of when I had my g2x and someone made a thread similar to this since then I have made one for galaxy s3 and note2 users, someone else made one for galaxy s4 users and now I'm back and going it again.
If you got a question and I'll try and find you an answer!

For development, do we follow the AT&T thread or the T-Mobile thread?

Does WindMobile's D801 come factory unlocked or is it locked to the carrier?
Thanks!

Hello all I am having an issue. I am trying to launch my Navy federal app and this is the error I get. I can't find out how to fix it. The app works on other CM10.2, but no KitKat based ROM. I realize this could be do to incompatibility, but the reason I think it isn't is simply because it allows me to install it from the play store. I am running AOSP 4.4 built from source, built by Houstonn. It is v3. I have posted this in the forum itself but no one answered my question there for I am posting it here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a guess but since many apps have not been updated to work with 4.4 and this is a rather secure app I bet that is the issue.

Yes I known insecure phone stuff like that. But my phone doesn't have to be rooted for some guy to intercept my data. People can simply take all of your data with your NFC chip, they can man in the middle when your on wifi. So I think them doing something when I'm rooted is the least of my worries.

I'm new to the device and I've seen a few things unfamiliar to me such as GEEB & Geespr...I googled GEEB and only came across ROM threads with GEEB in the title. I've checked all the threads for the device hoping to find a clear definition. I couldn't find anything, so what is GEEB and Geespr ?

Short answer. You want to use geeb since you have att/e970. Geespr is sprint/ls970.

Well hey thank you...I appreciate that...also I've been thinking a lot about unlocking the bootloader, I've realized an user has created an app just for that purpose. Is there any reason I should want to unlock it ? What are your thoughts

Unlocking is required before bloatware can be removed, also needed for installing recovery used to flash custom ROMs. If you bloat is removed without unlocking you will get security error soft brick upon reboot needing lgnpst to restore.
Phones rooted, was running pa beta 6 but switched to m3 snapshot...I came from the GNote and that phone didn't have an unlocked bootloader either. The only phone I ever bootliad unlocked was way back in the day when I had a HTC g1

If you have a custom then the bootloader is unlocked.
