[Q] WIFI issues?????

Hiya all,
Is anyone having the same issues on their ThunderHammer with WIFI not picking up any locations? I seem to not be able to get any hits on any networks, I am rooted running stock, I have ran the ROM by XXXVIRUS but maybe it could be in the WiFi sup. Checked the build.prop changed the interval to 30 ( 15 native) can't seem to get her going.... I'm not a NooB, and can use and and I know my way around some Droid ... Any ideals let me know, or its back to Verizon to replace, ( came from og to dx, and they both had no WiFi issues, this bolt can't see and may have to get contacts!!!!)
Bump.... To see if there are another with this issue????

If you want to pay for it. The apps you can download like wirelesstether require root.

Root your dang phone! Don't be scared.
There is a way without root! It's called pay Verizon more $$$

Even after you root your phone, there is still currently no way to turn the X2 into a wireless access point for free. You CAN set up an ad-hoc connection if your other device supports that. Most do not, except for a laptop running Windows 7.
However, there are MANY other advantages to rooting your phone, and it's not that hard to do.
I am rooted running eclipse.2 rom and tether using wireless tether to my windows xp laptop. Works great no issues. Google wirelesstether.apk for the app.

I will agree. Rooting your phone is key. If for nothing else but to delete the bloat apps with titanium backup. You can also create backups, tweak memory, run scripts. But mostly tether for free.

Root to unlock the full potential of your X2.
I know the advantages of rooting, I've had a og DROID, DROID 2 and DROID x all rooted and flashed, I just haven't really felt the need to root atm

Not an ad-hoc connection, huh? Is it the Eclipse ROM that's enabling you to do that?

PDA Net And EasyTether Are Both Free And Paid Apps For Non-Rooted Users.
It is an add hock connection, but works fine on xp. I even use my work vpn login with no issues.

Leaked ics problems???

I was just seeing if anyone else has had any problems. When i play temple run my finger Swypes don't seem too be recognized correctly. Also i installed bootstrap and it worked fine and i made a backup. But has anyone tried restoring a back up?

Yes there's touch issues with Temple Run and Running Fred.
Cut the Rope force closes too.
Restoring backups doesn't work afaik.
I've noticed that swipe actions on Temple Run don't work well also I had Can Knock Down and no swiping works at all with that. As far as bootstrap not sure I lost root when updating.

Did you try rerooting with voodo. Also for those with root what are you using for tethering? I tried doing the sqlite and changing the entitlement value to 0 but it wouldn't let me change it

You have to be on 1.5 version of sqlite editor for it to work

I have to log on to my router from my PC and give any device I want to connect permission to connect. Im not sure what type router you have, just speaking in personal experience. It took me forever to get mine to connect.

I have a motorola, netopia router. Basically where in your router did you grant your phone permission?
Thanks for the help

On mine the section is under "wireless> MAC filtering " then enter your phone MAC address found under "about phone>status>Mac address"
I wish I could be more help, I'm not familiar with that particular router.
Let me know what happens, I'll help as much as I can.

No dice, what is your operating mode? I heard that that might be my issue

Try different channels, security methods, or maybe your phone is set to 2.4 ghz only?
Where would i find what hz my phone is set to
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
My operating mode is set on mixed mode. Bandwidth is on 20/40 and running 2452 MHz.
Will the phone not recognize the router at all ? Or does it try to connect but fails?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
Finally changed router, my router did not have the mixed option which was needed.
Thanks for all your help, greatly appreciated
