Are you using a stock ROM (Original Samsung ROM) or a custom ROM ? If you are using a custom ROM i would suggest
If you are using a stock ROM original samsung rom and unrooted and you dont have any knowledge & expirience with rooting/flashing ROMs and ur phone is still under warranty Just return your phone and ask for a replacement /fix dont forget to backup your data and wipe everything of it before you hand over the phone !
If you are alsready running on a custom ROM try the below if ONLY you understand what im talking about.. again sole resposnilty and risks involved are on you and only you if you brick/damage your phone
1. wipe dalvik cache
2. system cache NOT DATA i repeat DO NOT WIPE DATA partition or do any formate of any sort
3. All of this can be done if you reboot into clock worth mode recovery
If this doesnt halp I would suggest re flash your ROM or change to a different ROM entirely or update you existing ROM to the latest version but before you do any these do a complete NAND backup of your phone !

Sir i cleaned the lens glass with soft cloth what else i can do??
Have you looked at lens under a magnifying glass?? Just maybe their is a dust particle from inside the lens or there is a crack on the lens perhaps??
If flashing flashing other ROMs don't solve this problem it could only mean it's a hardware problem then I'm afraid that's as far I can help ! Or change the camera unit if you can source a faulty Samsung galaxy s 2 from somewhere if you can and if it's possible or take to a phone repair shop they may know better or wait for somebody else here in the forum who could assist you further

I am having this problem for a while now...my camera doesn't work.when i press the icon, camera application launches with the camera buttons and then with the small preview icon on the right side being black. The screen displays what is in front of the camera but the buttons are totally not functioning. If I wait for it, it then says "camera application not responding" then gives me the option to wait or force close.
-rebooting doesn't help
-clearing data doesn't help
-using another camera application (same result)
-The best solution that I came up with is reflashing ROM (wiping everything)
-if that doesnt work, reformatting SD card
sometimes it works..sometimes not
when fixed, it just runs for a couple of weeks then afterwards, the same thing happens again and I am getting tired of it.
So I would like to seek out your help now enlightened members of xda...please help me
PS..this happens on any kind of rom (oxygen and currently LEWA OS)
Anyone out there who can help me? anyone who experiences the same issues?
Do u have any kind of cell tracking application(like androidlost or something) installed on ur phone? Or any other app that uses camera?

The camera work on the official firmware? (V20E) When did you first notice this problem?
Typically, problems arise with the camera when changing kernel ... Try to flash the kernel from Franko

After Flashing Oxygen V2.6, this problem started after several days...was able to resolve thru reflashing rom wiping everything but after several days reoccured.
I am already using LEWAOS M7 and it happened to me twice now.

You are saying Any custom rom i doubt if thats a true statement .
If its that important post in the right section and read the Q&A FAQ post Q12.
Judged by your multiple posts on the subject and your past posts re camera its possible you broke the hardware .
jje
OP doing something wrong... AOSP Camera works on CM10.1 now, and derivatives of course. And even before, simple workarounds like Huawei AOSP Camera worked just fine.
Suggest that OP flashes stock JB (any) and checks camera firmware and updates as necessary, then wipes absolutely everything in a later CWM and re-tries a "custom" ROM.
Re: [IMPORTANT] Camera doesn't work in any custom rom
Camera driver issue is probably the only thing I can think of that force crash the came right at start up, or display messages like "can't connect to camera"

if you are from ICS and then updated to JB maybe its the phone and camera firmware that causes the reboot.
however i haven't experienced before the sudden reboot when opening the camera, it just freezes from what i remember that happened to my phone.
maybe this thread is worth checking for: JB 4.1.2 and Camera Driver
if changing the camera firmware doesn't help, you can try to wipe cache/data, wipe system, wipe dalvik and wipe preload before flashing.
i haven't saw a post like this before so the above suggestions aren't sure to fix your problem but i think its worth trying.
At least you are not getting any errors in your logcat, so just install a stock JB and flash a proper camera firmware and try again.

Firstly, do not create duplicate threads for the same issue.
Secondly, do not bump your thread more than once per 24 hours.
Thirdly, I had exactly the same issue with my GT-i9100 and I had to return it to Samsung for a new camera module.
Sometimes it would work and sometimes not... but it started working less and less until finally it didn't work at all.
No amount of changing ROMs or clearing data made any difference... the camera had to be replaced (under warranty).

And somthing else when im using Snapchat recording after record video have completly negative color, and when using Instagram Live Video shows negative Color. When using my camera video rec, video color is normal. Why happend that
All those things are very strange. Maybe try the uploads in another WiFi, perhaps the problem lies with network upload.
If many strange things appear and even clean flash of different ROMs doesn't help, some people recommend to flash the stock ROM back and start from scratch, maybe in a different way than before.
That's the only senseful thing I can think of in your situation :/
