[Q] How to install CWM in Galaxy S3 i9300 clone - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone!
I recently purchased from china a Galaxy S3 i9300 replica, just like the one in the attached pictures, with MTK6575 processor, 4.8 inch screen and so on...
I was already able to root it, however I want to install CWM recovery but don't know how. I tried a guide I found on this forum using SP Flash Tool, but had no success. Actually I didn't understand very well the guide so probably that's why I couldn't get to install CWM on my phone.
Do you have any idea of how can I do this? I would really appreciate if you could give me simple steps to do it, I'm kind of new in this hehe
Thanks a lot in advance! Best regards!

[Q] Rooting i717m galaxy note with rogers wireles Canada

i have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note I717m running android 4.1.2
i have looked everywhere trying to find a way to root it but i can't find a thread or site (via google) that would explain to me exactly what i need to do to root my Note specifically. I am a beginner at rooting but i have rooted my samsung galaxy s3 (only because the rooting sites were abundant and very easy to understand)
All i need is to know if there is a way to root such an old phone running the latest software, and if there is i need to know how.
thank you
Get latest twrp .tar from og dev section to use with Odin.
Uncheck auto reboot in Odin, flash recovery, and since you have the Canadian version there is an extra step as there is a script in place to overwrite a custom recovery if you boot directly into the os,
So, right after the Odin flash, button combo into recovery and factory reset, then boot into android.
Now reboot into recovery and when you go to boot again from there it should see that you're not rooted and ask if you'd like to do so.
Thank you for your quick reply!
I however dont know what you mean by twrp.tar and where i can find it
I would need links to sites and a guideline if possible because when i rooted my s3 it was one step after the other i didn't really understand all of it and it was a long time ago
Thanks again, hope I'm not asking for too much here I'm new to this forum
Its in the development section for the i717. Go to TRWP recovery. Click the link to the site and MAKE SURE ITS FOR THE I717. Download and do what stud said.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
it worked!
thanks alot!

[Q] HTC Galaxy S4 Legend 2 root (MT6589)

Hi everyone,
This is probably a very easy question to answer but as a newbie i don't want to blow up my new phone i have been waiting for weeks to arrive.
I just got my new HTC Galaxy S4 Legend 2, it differs some from the original Legend 1 as it has two sim slots for example.
The device comes with some chineese software i can't seem to uninstall so rooting is my only option. My question: can i use the One click root tool mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2407529 ?
It says it is suitable for MTK6589 and mobileuncle says my platform is MTK6589, but when i visit hdcgalaxy.com and open the guide with exactly the same root software, the guide says this root is for Android version 6.1.2 and i have 6.2.2.
Who can help me out?
Many thanks for your help, much appriciated!
Joris

clockworkmod for sm-s765c

Hi I'm looking for clockworkmod recovery for a Samsung Ace Style sm-s765c. I have did a hundred searches but to no avail. Also was hoping to flash Cyanogenmod rom.
Does onyone have any ideal? Please
Did you ever get a recovery for it? My daughter owns the same phone and the carrier is tracfone. I really want to add a recovery to it as well.
I am also on aforementioned phone. I achieved root using towelroot. I am told by coworkers that a custom rom for s3 mini will work. I have not had any luck finding original stock rom so I am in fear of a bricked phone, but if someone would verify this as working, I would be rather pleased.

Hi everyone.
Yesterday I rooted the Grand 6 with KingRoot, but when I tried to change to SuperSU, he got stuck in bootloop.

I needed something like this:
Stock ROM (please, someone?);
Flash CWM from recovery/preloader/bootloader;
Remove Root using bootloader/recovery.
Or if you have a better option, feel free to share!
