I'm afriad my galaxy s2 is either damaged or bricked.I tried to flash the leaked official jelly bean via Odin,am sure i selected the right files and when i clicked on START,i waited for over 40mins and nothing happened,so i closed odin, unplugged my phone, removed the battery and reinserted it,and the phone has refused to switch on.I think i have tried to flash to a non compactible baseband.
Please is there anything i could do to get my phone to work again?
Any advice is appreciated,Thanks.

When i extracted the file i downloaded, there are about 5 files and according to the guidelines, you click on PDA and select a file named CODE,click on phone and select a file named PHONE,then CSC and PIT,these are four files that was used. Then the Md5 file wasn't used though it's among the files that was extracted but was not asked to use.My phone is galaxy GT-i9100.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks, that link is enough to get me started..but is it something i could just download and instal on my pc,connect my phone and repair or i would need a kinda of pad or something...saw a video on youtube where something was connected or soldered to the phone and then plugged to the pc without the battery.
Thanks.
If you spend money on a RIFF box, unless you know what you're doing/have done it before more than a few times, there's a fair chance you'll both pay for something you'll never use again & bork your phone beyond repair.
Pay someone else a quarter of the cost & have them do it/successfully fix your phone (assuming it can be JTAG'd & isn't a MB replacement job).

Alright, thanks for this.I just ordered for a USB jig and i pray it will save the day.

My phone is 100% bricked, I was flashing blitzkrieg bootloader to flash his ROM and something went wrong.
Now my phone wont turn on, wont nothing. . .
So the Question is: has anyone went out of this? I now the jig method, but I searched and didnt find anything.
eif you borked the bootloader there is a good chance there isnt much you can do besides a jtag reset, now a jig wouldnt hurt to try but i wouldln't count on it working. i personally will always stay away from bootloaders until i get my own jtag rig.
Goodluck bro hopefully the jig works.
if the vibrant is originally yours you could make a warranty claim with samsung stating you were attempting to flash 2.2 through keis and your phone wont work now, otherwise like said jig maybe, Jtag almost assuredly, will fix your phone.
If you are actually considering a JTAGing, search in the forum for connexion2005. He have lots of experience doing it and have a website and everything.
Its sad, but you remembered me why i shouldn't mess with the bootloader. Goodluck with your phone bro...
What happened during the bootloader flash? I just flashed the GB bootloader and the whole process was over in less than 10 seconds, not much room for error..

I wholly agree with you that this method is something that should be avoided if at all possible, however I know jtag services can be hard to find as well as sometimes quite costly.

Your battery probably died.
You dont have to flash a pit with it because it uses the phones native pit when flashing the bootloader.
Also, the OP for the gb Bootloader states that it CHANGES the key mapping. volume up and power gets you dl mode. Try that before jtag. I had this problem trying to flash the rom because i couldnt figure out recovery. Turns out I didn't read it right. I read it through, just didn't interpret it correctly.

sending it to connection2005 for JTAG...
hope that resolves the issue.

no, nothing. still black screen / no power.
i think, my mistake was a wrong .pit - i was using the 512.pit, i'm a sgs2 noob ^^
afaik, you do not flash PIT for this phone, ever.
Try removing the battery, then turning on, download mode, recovery etc. If that doesn't work, you're screwed.
Try purchasing a jig. To be honest though, it sounds hard bricked. When you plug it into a power source and try to power it on if nothing at all happens that's usually a bad sign.
To offer you saving point, there are two or three places on the web that offer Jtag services which rewrite the default boot loader.
What were you doing when this happened?
Did the flash complete successfully?
These things are hard to brick although not impossible.
Edit: Oh, just saw the pit reference. Ouch, you are going to need Jtag, friend.

No instructions to flash a 512 PIT file for the SGS1 phone its a totally different PIT.Same as putting the wrong fuel in the tank .

You won't be debrick it at home, only JTAG equipment can help you now. Either send it to a Samsung Service center, tell them you were updating through Kies and hope they don't notice or find a Repair Service with JTAG equipment and have them debrick it.
i wonder something why is a 512.pit file in the update pack (was rar compressed) as the FW is for SGS-2 but not SGS-1 ?!
tomorrow i send the phone to the service center, i can say it was a failure in kies - most pplz are writing this and dont have to pay something^^

You should ask the person who put it in the firmware pack... I haven't seen any downloads on XDA which contain the 512.pit file. Infact if you would've taken the time to read up on some threads here at XDA you would've known most experienced users advise and actively warn against using a pit file.

It's not the most correct thing to do (actually, not at all, it was your friend's fault entirely, also voiding the warranty), but your friend can tell them that the device began to heat while charging, he unpluged it and it died, sometimes it happens...
As for the JTAG you asked on the other post, it's a physical connector inside the cellphone used to write the flash memory, it involves opening the device, pinning some terminals and programming via PC, it's pretty common on embedded devices to load the program for the first time.
There is still a chance to get the phone back to its senses!
you will need 2 people to do this
read all 5 steps then only proceed!
1. Remove the battery.
2.Start odin in your pc.
3.connect the mobile to the pc using cable.
4.keep pressing the keys required to get in download mode. i.e. power+home+volume down key.
5.ask someone else to put the battery in your phone keeping the keys pressed!.
if every thing goes right Odin will detect the phone Flash it with a good rom you know which works! and never take out the cell from odin when its being flashed until odin says Success!

If the flash stalled is it possible you were flashing an incompatible firmware for your phone? I9100G has different firmware yo the I9100/T.
Anyway, my suggestion is if uoi definitely can't get into download mode then maybe try using a jig to force it. But I suspect that may also not work.
You say the PC picks up the phone when you connect it. Does that mean it boots up?

Well if all else fails, next step may be a jig. It can be a pain if you don't have one but check in the general section. There is a thread about users (including myself) who are willing to help people who urgently need to use a jig. There are heaps of countries listed so if your lucky you may find someone close by who will help.

OP, are you plugged directly into a USB port on the PC? Not through a keyboard pass-through, or a USB hub, or something similar? I've heard of stalled flashes because the person was not plugged directly into the PC.
The other thing, is to try a different USB cable. Faulty cables can also cause stalled flashes.

WHAT DOES RECOVERY HAVE TO DO WITH FLASHING???
You have other posts in this thread that imply you were able to try flashing again. If that's not the case, than I misinterpreted, and sorry I tried to troubleshoot your problem and suggest a course of action.
I'm sure you're frustrated, but that is no reason to snap at people trying to help you.

Recovery mode and Download mode are not the same. Flashing can only happen in Download mode.
Guys. I am in deep trouble. I was trying to help a friend and its bricked now.
I was flashing CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG2-v4.1-CWM4 with omap4_all_20110627_emmc.pit and unfortunately re-partition was ticked automatically. After the flashing was passed the phone was removed. Now it doesn't turn on or anything. Its dead!
Please somebody gives me a fix please!!

Did you try a USB Jig to get into the download mode?
What happens when you plug in the USB cable? Does Odin recognize the phone?

Try a usb jig and see if you can get into download mode and if that doesn`t work you probably are looking at a Jtag job or Samsung repair service. Is the phone still under warranty?
Is it a I9100 or a I9100G?

Remove the battery and under the battery there should be a model name.
However, if you have the I9100 and not the I9100G you flashed the wrong Pit File. There is a big difference between those devices. I9100 is Exynos based and I9100G is OMAP based. You probably messed up the partition of your phone or even the bootloader by flashing wrong stuff on the device.

Yes you are right mine is I9100. I flashed the wrong Pit file. So can I do anything to unbrick it? If I could get into download mode I could have tried to solve it. but I cant! Moreover the device is getting heated even if its turned off and unplugged. When I put the battery on its heating up itself.

There is no way (at least to my knowledge) to unbrick a hardbricked device without jtag. What you can try is to find someone in your country with a jtag and give him your device, so he can then unbrick it. Maybe there is a Android Forum that is based on your language, I would ask there. In Germany there are quite some people who do this for a little cash, so maybe you can find someone in your country.
Good luck
