I've been trying to use the resurrection ics from from the i9100 forum on our phone but have had no success... I tried entropy beta kernel and fenny's kernel but it just causes it to go straight to a black screen any suggestions?
Edit: it should say ics not pics

No hurry.. I just don't think its compatible with any of the kernels we have... so I was asking if theirs any work a rounds.. maybe someone will eventually port it

As has been said a million times in here. all talk of ICS should be kept to the one thread until there is an actual release for our phones. The rest is just noise clogging the forums.

technically we do have a full ics from now unless you mean the official at&t update? That'll take forever

I agree that we have ti use the official thread for ICS discussions, this will cause less confusion in forum.
Thread closed.
I've noticed my note being a little laggy on the current rom that I am on and was wanting to flash the dagkernal to overclock a little bit and try to reduce the lag. Unfortunately the rom I am currently using is ics based and from my understanding incompatible with dagkernal. I came across the kingkang rom and would really like to flash but don't want to end up in the same situation I am in now. Does anyone know if it is compatible with dagkernal? Thank you much in advanced.
P.s. sorryz for noobzz questionz.
You answered your own question
And if you can't figure it out you shouldn't be flashing anything.
No offense
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
I guess what I should have asked is if kingkang is ics based because i'm not sure. If it is obviously it won't work with the oc kernal. I'm not new to flashing by any means. I'm just new to the note. Really I as just looking for some clarity before I go try it and have to go out of my way to fix something that I ****ed up.
Dis you read the thread??
It clearly states GB only
Do some reading before asking or flashing
It'll save your phone from being a paperweight

I don't think you understand what I am asking. I get that the oc kernal is for gb only as i've stated in both my other posts. What I needed to know as if kingkang was ics or gb. By the way I already got a clear anwser from another member.

Like I said read the threads!!!!!!!
Stop being lazy and do some reading!!!!
Stop cluttering the threads with questions that all it takes is reading in an OP of a rom
Matter of fact go flash it
Flash King Kang than flash the kernel
I take no responsibility but if you wanna find out the hard way with out reading go and flash them both
Noobs....
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Again...not a noob at flashing by any means. I read both threads thoroughly and at no point in the king kang rom thread does it state if it is gb or ics. I guess you are just to dense to understand the question that I was asking. By the by...i've been on this site alot longer than you I just don't post much because of idiots like you that don't want to give an anwser. You would rather parade around the question and give little to no input instead of just helping a fellow member out. Thanks for nothing. Last time I checked this was for q&a. I searched for my question before I made a thread about it and returned no results. So unless you have some useful input gtfo (which at this point my question was anwsered so it would be monotonous).
If you would a really searched like you said you did you'd know all CM9 AOKP Paranoid roms are ICS... idk what rom that is based of CM9 isn't ....so there is your answer since King Kang is a mixture of all 3
I give you s*** because you clearly didn't do your research if you say you "been flashing longer than me" but couldn't find out one of the most obvious things dealing with ICS ...
You're a noob
Accept it and next time read or use Google or another form of searching because your specific question has been answered numerous amounts of times.

Every rom you will find on the first page of the Android Development thread are ICS roms. There were not too many custom Gingerbread roms for our device and the ones that were made are discontinued cause only a few of us with the Note are waiting til the kernel source is released to upgrad to ICS. Anyway yes its an ICS rom and all the other roms on the first and probably second page are also ICS roms.
Is there a touchwiz jellybean rom out yet for the note???
Please search...
Umm I did there are some for ICS but none that I seen for jellybean there were addons for touch wiz with jb but nun seem very

If you searched, read, and looked in the development section you would discover what everyone else knows. Not until some version of a jellybean ROM/kernel is released.

Agreed though sometimes I do understand, for someone not that accustom to digging through forums it can be quite a daunting task and the user can be overwhelmed quite easily. Sometimes its nice just to have someone point something out especially if that user is new to the forum. I think we sometimes need to take a step back and remember there are noobs out there, there are people whom lack the ability to focus long enough to find the anwser

I noticed that ManelScout4Life seems to be posting nightlies of the Vanilla Rootbox 4.2.1 ROM under the "quincyatt" header on his goo.im section (although they don't appear when you "filter by compatible roms".
I downloaded it, but searched all over the interwebz and couldn't find a damn thing on it...and since I'm not a huge fan of blindly flashing ROM's, I wanted to see if anyone here has taken the plunge and tried to flash it? I know he did the voting thing the other day, but I have no idea how that turned out...so I'm not sure if he's just intentionally not posting it here, or if they're just test builds that aren't ready for full-on testing yet.
Either way - I have read some cool things about RootBox, so I'd love to give it a whirl if anyone else (Manel included?) could confirm that it's not gonna take us to Bricktown or anything.
Thanks in advance, hopefully I didn't miss anything previously regarding his ROM's...I'm definitely not trying to go against a contributor's wishes or anything like that.
I'm running Dirty RootBox on my N7 and its great. I haven't heard or seen anything of it for the i717.

I just wanted to make a post saying that yes, there are people here interested in ROM's, and YES we do appreciate your work.
I am patiently waiting for a working CM10 or 4.4 AOSP, and don't really mind the time it takes to build as long as its solid.
i will test where i can

Me too
Houstonn is kicking ass, but the information is terribly difficult to find

that SHOULD be the 4.4 AOSP build for sprint. i have not yet tested. one in the thread did, and said everything worked.
good luck guys, and go post in the thread if you see bugs, because i dont know if there will ever be a dedicated thread in this forum for it..

dont be stupid and not read the thread some before installing, looks like full wipe and twrp/cwm (maybe one or the other) will be required

Well a couple of reasons for that. The G2 for Sprint came out almost a month after the other G2 variants. Also, CDMA phones have always been the step child of Android Development.
Rest assure there is development for this phone. I have personally tested a few 4.3.x and 4.4 roms. The devs don't want to release half ass stuff. When the threads start here, they will be close to perfect.
Patience grasshopper.

its actually nice to hear that someone is working on it.
I had a Gnex and the development was explosive compared to the G2 (not surprisingly), but as I'm sure you can see in this forum, it looks pretty empty.
Without a doubt i am grateful for every dev who is working on Roms for our phone, but without any forum movement, it looks pretty stagnant. Your response is nice to see, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who is happy to hear that there is someone somewhere trying to help the bastard stepchild of the G2 world out
