[Q] Home WiFi network with cellular connection to the Internet? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I do not have a permanent Internet connection at my home. I live by myself, so there's no point in having a connection when I'm not there. I have a laptop, a desktop, a Blu-Ray player, an Xbox 360, a WiFi printer and an older WiFi receiver that connects to a printer with an Ethernet connection.
I have the T-Mobile unlimited Monthly4G plan, and what I would like to do is create a permanent WiFi network at home that will automatically connect to my phone for an Internet connection when I turn on the tethering. This way all the devices can communicate with one another and the IPs will remain the same even when the phone is not in range.
Has anyone ever tried this? Can I do it with a wireless repeater?

[Q] cm7 reverse USB tether plus wifi tether to produce non Adhoc?

So, I'm running on the latest nightly of cm7 on my vibrant with a glitch kernel. What I want to do is share my wired connection with my laptop, phone, and ps3 without having a wireless router. The thought is to use reverse USB tethering to put the connection to my phone then use the wifi hotspot ability to share the connection with my ps3. I know the ps3 won't recognize Adhoc being produced by the computer, also it's impossible to receive wifi and broadcast it at the same time. So is it possible to do what I propose?

Samsung Smartview with 3g?

I like streaming TV (ES7005) to my SGS2 inside my home network but I'd love to be able to do it elsewhere too, for example with 3g connection or friend's wifi.
With OS Monitor (from market) I managed to find out that at least while streaming the connection is made to ports 55000 and 55001, but even if I portforward these to my TV I can't make a connectiong with 3g.
Is there any network wizard here that could make it work or at least explain why it wouldn't work without wifi connection?

[Q] Use 4g connection to stream while connected to WiFi

Hey guys.
So here is the problem. I am currently without an internet connection and would like to stream media from a off site Plex Media Server.
Now I could just stream it to my phone (the 4g down is outstanding here, 20mb+), but I would like to watch it on the TV.
I can send a video stream directly to the TV from my phone (using Bubble uPnP), but I need to be on the same WiFi network. Obviously the catch to this is I lose the 4g connection if I do this.
Is there any way I can connect to a WiFi network and keep the 4g connection? This seems like something that shouldn't be that hard, but I'm no expert.
I know I can just use a HDMI adapter to do this, but that renders my phone useless as it has a cable fixed to the bottom.
Thanks in advance!

Force data connection via LTE rather than connected wifi (g850a so no root for me)

I'm curious about being able to force my phone to use it's LTE data connection rather than a wifi network that it's connected to.
Here's why:
In my car, I have a head unit with a chromecast input through the hdmi port in the back. I put the chromecast there specifically to cast my phone's screen onto the head unit. Chromecast's screencasting works PERFECTLY for this purpose and I'm super happy with the performance
The problem comes in when I get to the fact that the chromecast can't cast my screen without an active internet connection. The dongle needs to download the casting app each time it starts, apparently.
My plan is to purchase a freedompop hotspot and go for the free 500mb a month plan, as the casting software for the chromecast is very small. The LTE connection on my phone is not an option because i'm not able to root, as well as whatever complications would arise from being the device broadcasting a network that it has to connect to.
What I'm trying to avoid is allowing my phone to consume data over the wifi network that it will have to connect to on order to cast its screen to the chromecast and my head unit.
I'm open to other creative solutions if you have any ideas. Miracast was an option, but after attempting to use a roku stick for that purpose, i've found that miracast and the Alpha aren't really good friends yet. If anybody knows of a miracast dongle that works well with the alpha, please share!

Streaming with my 4G connection via AllConnect App.

My TV is hardwired via LAN to my router and my phone is connected to same router via WiFi. I am able to stream from my Phone to TV when my router has internet connectivity. But I want to use internet connectivity of my 4G LTE phone, so I connect with cellular data and am able to play on my phone but as soon as I want to stream via AllConnect App it does not see the WiFi. I switch ON/OFF the WiFi it connects to TV but can't play it. So basically when my router has internet connectivity my phone streams to TV but when my router doesn't has internet connectivity my phone doesn't stream to TV. I want to use my Phones 4G LTE data connection to stream from my phone to my TV via my router and use my routers WiFi to connect my phone to TV via DLNA. I don't want to use my routers internet for that I disconnect the DSL cable. So I have an active WiFi connection for my my phone to connect to TV but no internet connectivity.
TV = Sony Bravia KDL 40EX520
Phone = Haier LS-5014 and OnePlus One A0001
Android Ver = 6.x
Router = Asus DSL N10E
Streaming App = AllConnect Ver 8.2
I hook up my TV with LAN (Old Sony Bravia) to my router and my phone to same routers WiFi. So I am able to share and connect with TV. I am also able to cast Movie HD app on my TV using the AllCast app, No issues. I have a crappy wired internet connected to it. I also have unlimited 4G plan on my phone. I use AllConnect to cast from my Phone to TV. Now I am able to cast Movie HD app via AllConnect on my TV. But as soon as I disconnect the wired internet from my router. I am not able to cast. I want to use my Phones 4G internet to stream on my TV. Theoretically it should be possible to cast using my routers LAN which I am able to. But as soon as I disconnect DSL cable from my router the streaming stops. Can anyone help me here.
